StandWithUs UK raises over 600K
StandWithUs UK are thrilled to announce the results of our recent fundraising campaign. In just 72 hours, the community rallied behind us to raise over £600K, hours before the 9pm deadline. This was an astounding achievement, and we want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who supported us.
Isaac Zarfati, Executive Director for StandWithUs UK said, “As a charity that empowers and educates students and communities, this campaign’s success is a powerful affirmation of the value of our work and the trust the public has instilled in us. Most importantly, the campaign’s success is a resounding assertion of the strong ties between the British community and the people of Israel.”
Lana Saffrin Betesh, Chair of StandWithUs UK added, “We believe that education is the key to building a better future for all. By providing students with the tools they need to navigate complex issues and promoting dialogue and collaboration, we empower the next generation of leaders”.
The support and generosity from over a thousand donors will enable us to continue to advance our mission and commitment to fighting antisemitism and Israel misinformation.
Last week, the National Jewish Assembly (NJA) successfully hosted an event in celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day. The event was held at the Kinloss Banqueting Suite, with close to 300 guests.

The event was filled with joy and festivity, with guests enjoying traditional Israeli food, music, and dancing. The NJA was honoured to have several distinguished guests in attendance, including community leaders and representatives of international Jewish organisations.
In his remarks, NJA Managing Director Steve Winston expressed his deep pride in the State of Israel and highlighted its many accomplishments since its founding in 1948. He praised the resilience and strength of the Israeli people and reaffirmed the NJA’s commitment to supporting Israel, saying “Israel is here to stay, and that is something we must always celebrate.” Winston also made a special welcome to the NJA’s Christian friends and underscored that “Your love for the Jewish people and Israel means so much to us.”
The NJA was delighted to receive video messages which were screened at the event, including from Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, Yaakov Hagoel, Chairman of the World Zionist Organisation, and Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, and Tzipi Hotovely, Ambassador of Israel to the UK.
Commenting on the event, NJA Chairman Gary Mond said, “The NJA’s Yom Ha’atzmaut party was a fantastic success, with an amazing band, great food, and a great celebratory atmosphere. It was particularly wonderful to be supported by amazing organisations like the World
Zionist Organisation, JNF UK, Stand With Us, and CAMERA UK, as well as El Al.”
The live band, led by Guy Barzily, delighted the guests with a mix of Israeli classics and contemporary music which had everyone up and dancing.
The NJA would like to especially thank its for her tireless efforts in organising this fantastic event, and is grateful to the sponsors and supporters, as well as all those who attended.
