What advice would you give future cadets?
Pravin:
What we see a lot is that cadets don't really appreciate the Corps. Not only in providing vital cadet skills but also life skills, building friendship and enhancing the school life So I think that the Corps provides so many values, it's one of the most important things in Kings and it really forms the basis of a military school. Ultimately, endorse in the course, jump in head first and really enjoy yourself in every way you can.
Ali:
To appreciate the spirit of the Corps, engage in the numerous options offered and create life long memories with your fellow cadets
What was your favourite experience at AFX?
Pravin: Completing an activity, finishing that and looking back at it and understanding all your accomplishments and challenges you overcome.
Ali: Partaking in the different training initiatives that seek to esteem leadership values and provide a hands on approach to Corps.

A WORD FROM Ms McALLISTER PADRE'S WEEKLY BIBLE VERSE “Thou
neighbor as thyself."
Matthew 22:39
This great commandment from The Book of Matthew encourages boys in TKSCC to esteem the value of respect towards one another in their Cadet lives.
Showing respect and brotherly ‘love’ to not only oneself, but also to peers and leaders will foster an environment where trust, safety and wellbeing can be developed. Not only does treating each other with respect positively influence Esprit de Corps, but it creates a positive working culture that motivates every boy to collaborate and make a fair contribution to all cadet initiatives. It is a responsibility for every Cadet in our unit, leader or follower, to value each other with dignity in all activities whether it be in conversation, training initiatives, drill, or more
"The cadets program is about learning real life skills and it's really great to see the boys so involved and working together so well."
shalt love thy
NAVIGATION INITIATIVE
What is the initiative being run?
The initiative being run consists of 5 activities, 2 of which involve the cadets learning to set bearings and navigate. The other 3 relate to them applying these bearings and measurements with the use of maps.
What values of the TKSCC are learnt?
Aside from the actual knowledge of Navigation skills itself, Nav also teaches valuable skills of teamwork and leadership, as the boys must cooperate to achieve their tasks.
How may the skills learnt in the Nav Initiative be applied to AFX?
Navigation's use in the AFX is significant as you are mainly in the wildlife, meaning you must rely on these skills, and if you want to rank up and lead a platoon, you must be able to get them from Point A to B safe and sound
