Aredith:
My role as the Company Commander of Delta Company is to overlook the operations of weekly training parades, all the while, upholding morale, discipline and behaviour within the unit
Daniel:

What was your favourite experience at training parades?
Aredith:
My favourite experience during training parades, particularly this year, is going around to different platoons during drill lessons and initiatives Through this, I can catch up with the boys and see how their days are going, fortifying bonds and mateship
Daniel: My favourite experience at weekly training parades is being able to watch my boys have fun and grow while immersing themselves within the wide range of activities offered

Daniel's
What was your favourite experience at AFX?
Aredith: Each year completing trek with my platoon is a very rewarding experience. I enjoy the bonds created and sense of accomplishment when at the top of the mountain.
Daniel: Participating in Advance Party and spending 10 days in the bush with the boys.
What advice would you give future cadets?
Aredith: My advice, in my last year within TKSCC, is for boys not to take for granted their time within the Corps. It isn't until now that I reflect upon my time in the Corps and realise how quickly it has passed Immerse yourself in the cadet Corps and cherish all the moments with your mates, as these will last a lifetime.
Daniel: To wholeheartedly throw yourself at all the opportunities with which you are presented and to never take anything for granted

A WORD FROM MS GANDIN PADRE'S WEEKLY BIBLE VERSE
“Better are the poor whose walk
Proverbs 28:6
This extract from the book of proverbs champions values of integrity in TKSCC. As Cadets in the unit develop from young men into strong leaders, it is important that their character remains consistent to the responsibility they are granted with.
Regardless of rank and posting in Corps, it is valuable to recognise that the best cadets do not necessarily carry the most authority. By upholding values and strong moral principles in every aspect of ones’ life, boys will be trusted, respected and rewarded for their strength in character, especially in situations where it may be challenged
Overall, Cadets who align their thoughts, words and actions to ‘walk’ the ‘blameless’ path and hold themselves accountable and consistent in their principles will find success in their endeavours in TKSCC.
"Corps is a great opportunity for the boys to take initiative in scenarios they would not normally find themselves in."
is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse.”
MEDICS' FIRST AID INITIATIVE
What is the initiative being run?
The initiative is called bullrings, we allocate medics to different sections and split the platoon into each section, rotating once each section is finished. Every section teaches a different thing, for example; learning how to use an epi pen or how to deal with anaphylaxis, etc
What values of the TKSCC are learnt?
After finishing the initiative, cadets will have developed a good sense of teamwork, communication and initiative in taking care of others.
How may the skills learnt in this Initiative be applied to AFX?
On AFX injuries will be a common thing, with our initiative the cadets will be well prepared to aid their medics or in the case where there is no medics around, they will be able to take care of the situation themselves or until medics/staff can arrive

What is Pathfinder's role in TKSCC?
Pathfinder’s role within the TKSCC involves ensuring the safety of Cadets alongside assisting with reconnaissance missions. On camp junior cadets are put in tough situations when undertaking Trek, our job is to ensure they safely move up and down the mountain when the terrain is tough.
What does
Pathfinder do? Pathfinders undertake activities in the dense bushlands during training parades and teach cadets how to camouflage with their surroundings. We also involve ourselves in physical activities such as running and push ups.
Why should you join Pathfinder?
If you want to be physically challenged as well as delving into the awesome natural environment, come and join pathfinders.
