HOLIDAY entitlement
TEACHING STAFF
Teachers are entitled to take as holiday all School holidays in accordance with the dates published in the School calendar. Normally, no holiday may be taken during term time.
NON-TEACHING STAFF
Term-time only non-teaching staff receive payment in lieu of holiday entitlement (25 days, rising to 30 after 5 years of service) included in their salary.
Full-year non-teaching staff are entitled to 25 days of holiday, rising to 30 after 5 years of service, to be taken during the published School holidays where possible. Holiday requests should be directed to your line manager through EveryHR.
If you are unsure of your holiday entitlement, please refer to your contract of employment or contact Human Resources.
BANK HOLIDAYS
Bank holiday entitlement for non-term time staff that work both full and part time is calculated based on their contracted hours or working days
For full time employees, if a bank holiday falls on a day they would usually work, they are entitled to have the day off with full pay.
In contrast for part time employees who work fewer hours per week, their bank holiday entitlement is calculated proportionally.
This proportioned allowance is then added into their annual holiday entitlement to be utilised. Where a bank holiday falls on a normal working day for a part time employee, they will be required to book the day off as leave.
