The Lady Hoofers

The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble produces original works of choreography while preserving the tradition of improvisation in American rhythm tap, bringing innovative percussive dance to diverse audiences. Founded in 2011 and led by Tamera Dallam, Artistic Director, and Katie Budris, Managing Director, the Philadelphia-based ensemble centers the work of women in tap through performance, education, and community outreach. The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble is supported by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund and receives state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
