Sunday 30 April is the date for the Wakefield Classic and American Car and Bike Show. It will run from 10:30 am in the city centre (postcode WF1 1HG). All rods, customs, classics and bikes are welcome, in fact the organisers will welcome any vehicle deemed to be of interest. The show is organised by Wakefield BID and it’s totally free for both exhibitors and visitors. www.wakefieldbid.co.uk

Firing up

Seems the guys behind Flat Caps and Ferrets have itchy feet and can’t wait until September, as they’re organising an early season warm up. Details are still sketchy but it will be known as Spring Fire Up. The dates are 5-7 May and it will take place at the same Huddersfield venue as the late season event.

Sprint is on Sunday 25 June at RAF Deenethorpe, a former WWII American Airfield near Corby, Northants. The aptly named Festival Of The Dead is billed as a celebration of car marques no longer with us. Presented by ClassicLine Insurance and MoreThanPolish.com, the show is primarily aimed at classic car enthusiasts but we’re sure owners of rods and customs will be welcome especially if the base vehicle make is no longer in production.

It takes place on Sunday 2 July at Burghley House, Stamford, Lincs, with all proceeds from the day going to the armed forces charity Mission Motorsport. www.festivalofthedead.uk

Krazy days

Krazy Horse launched their new event in style, with a poster designed by Ryan Roadkill. Known simply as The Weekender, it takes place on 7-9 July at Bardwell, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

The event promises a curated motorcycle and car show, music festival, beer festival, specialised vendor village and a local businesses food village. Admission tickets cover single days or the full 3 days and camping is available. Bands and official sponsorship announcements will follow in the near future.
