Students return to new school name, longstanding traditions

It’s a school tradition for middle-school students and faculty to build this archway to kick off the school year. This year, the tradition continued, even with a new school name. The school, formerly called Atchison Catholic Elementary School, became St. Benedict Catholic School this summer, sharing the name of the new parish that formed to unify four Atchison-area parishes into one.
