Welcome Back, Golf Season!
by Rob Clark, Director of GolfMarch will kick off with some great programs and we are ready to get rolling with the 2023 golf season. Soon the course will turn green, the days will get longer and hopefully the weather will allow us to play more golf. There are several activities scheduled for the next two months, so make sure you check out golf booklet for a complete schedule of golf activities. We are also ramping up for our third year of the PGA Korn Ferry event. If you have not signed up to volunteer and wish to do so, please reach out to us and we will help you get more involved. We will once again be in need of caddies, please let me know if you are interested. Caddying is a great way to experience the tournament as an insider.
We are excited to have two new interns for the season. Our interns will be joining us in May and we are already looking forward to their arrival. Ryden Premo will be finishing his freshman year at Mississippi State University and will be with us throughout the summer. Ryan Lunceford is a Junior at Mississippi State and will be interning from May until November. Ryan recently interned at Mountain Brook Club in Birmingham, Alabama. We are looking for housing for Ryan, so if you have a need for someone to watch over you house because you are going to be gone a good bit or just have room to share, we would love to talk to you about possible options. We hope you will welcome them both into our golf family this season.

LA JUNIORS
Begins the week of March 21
The LA Juniors is influenced by the American Development Model which was developed to help juniors get a fully rounded introduction to sports from a physical standpoint and as they grow and learn, make the focus more towards golf. The young ones will work on dexterity, strength and balance and as they grow they will focus more on high level golf specific learning.
This is a great program for all juniors.

COURSE UPDATE
FROM JIM HOWELL DIRECTOR OF AGRONOMYWelcome to the 2023 golf season at The Ledges. As always the Agronomy team is looking forward to providing the best turf conditions and putting surfaces for our members and guests. We have had a successful winter season by completing several projects and improvements to the golf course and facility landscapes.
I am excited to announce the addition of a new young professional who has joined the Agronomy staff. Wyatt Kotary is already off to a great start leading the staff as Superintendent of the golf course and grounds. He interned at several fine clubs over his educational years, and worked as Superintendent of Baton Rouge Country Club.
