How long have you worked at Complete Hotels?
Since I set it up in 2008.
What has been the biggest lesson of your career so far?
Never accept what is put in front of you, question everything. What is the funniest moment you have witnessed?
One evening I answered a room service call, arrived at the room to find the men dressed up as girls. As funny as it was I still had to pour the wine and ask them if they wanted to taste it first whilst trying to keep a straight face. What exciting things do you have planned for the hotel within the next year?
Well, we’ve just finished refurbishing our bar, restaurant and 6 executive rooms. As well as upgrading the fittings and furniture in the reception/lounge area, we are creating a purpose built training room which we are hoping will do well with local businesses. Also continuing to refurbish the bedrooms and bathrooms to a higher standard, hoping to see at least 12 - 15 completed by the end of this year.

How do you see the hotel looking in 5 years?
Looking to reach the 3 - 4 * standard, a business class hotel with capacity for conferences, a provider for local functions and possible branding. We have the same ideas as the hotel owners and we work together brilliantly. When you were a child, you wanted to be?

Do you have any bad habits?
Some say I tend to repeat myself .... at times. What’s your favourite song of all time?
Johnny Cash - ‘A boy named Sue’. What’s your favourite meal?
Steak and Kidney Pudding. You have to spend 1million pound in 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
