What our logo means and how it came to be
HOW IT ALL STARTED ALL STARTED
Caribbean Sol was founded by current President, Bruce Shanks His 40+ years of experience in the beach concessions industry, over time, opened his eyes to the need for a well-rounded, Natural, sun care product that was safe for both our marine ecosystem and our skin.
Research in recent years has proven this need accurate. After years of working with a micro-biologist, Bruce and his team came up with a sunscreen formula that was not only natural but, biodegradable in nature.
To this day, Caribbean Sol is one of the very few brands that have not had to alter ingredients due to new laws and regulations in the industry

Turtles symbolize longevity, protection, healing, and transformation. They have become a poster for our earth and the sustainability of our Planet. We chose to create our turtle around our mission to protect, heal and transform the sun care industry. Using ingredients found in the earth, that when released back into the earth, preserve it and create a safe place for turtles and other life on our planet, including your skin.
Our turtle was created with a leaf as its shell to symbolize plant-based ingredients, blue legs to symbolize our waterways that continue to be polluted by the chemically formulated products we wash off our bodies
