I do love this time of year, as the evenings pull out, the weather starts to warm up and we all start to venture outside again. As the Easter holidays are upon us during April, you may be going away, have you thought about who will look after your pets. We have a variety of pet carers whether you are looking for someone to visit your pets within your home or you are looking for kennels for them to go to. Perhaps they could just do with a bit of a pamper or grooming now the weather is better - all these services can be found on page 39. Now that we are in the Easter holidays, our thoughts also start towards other holidays throughout the year. Abbeymead School Social Enterprise Committee Abbeymead Primary School Social Enterprise Committee has had a busy year so far. We have been working on a number of projects that we would like to tell you about. The team has been involved in a Gloucester Rugby event (to be shown at the City Museum in July and August), a project on the River Twyver (hosted at Abbeydale Community Center) and creating arts and crafts products for sale at local events. We are also putting together teams of pupils at the school who will be called 'Neighbourhood Rangers'. They will be out and about soon around Lobleys park and the shops near the Turmot Hoer with litter picking and an anti graffiti campaign among their tasks. In July we will be hosting an event at the school. Which we hope will promote the good work happening in our community and encourage others to volunteer in the future. There will also be an opportunity to share memories and photographs of Abbeymead, which we hope to scan and record for future generations. We hope to see you soon, either at an event or when we are out and about!
