Our model, ELLA PORTELLI, braved a painful boating accident to be our bride for this summer issue. But looking at her beautiful photos, who would know?

Where do you live?

I live in Sliema.

Where else would you like to live and why?

If I could live anywhere else it would be somewhere in Spain. It is country filled with beauty, nature and inspiring landscapes and I just love the culture there.

What’s the happiest job or career you could have?

I would be happiest, and am aspiring to be, both an interior designer and psychologist, that way I could do what I love most and help others.

How do you like to relax?

I enjoy painting when I want to unwind and like to relax by having a chat with a good friend and a nice cold drink by the beach.

Who are the people who make you happiest, for what reason?

I like to surround myself with good friends and feel happiest with them, my family, loving partner and adorable little puppy, Lola.

What could the world do without, and what does it need more of?

I truly believe the world could do better without cruelty, and with more kindness. Life is beautiful, but it can be tough and you can never go wrong by just choosing to be kind. You never truly know what someone is going or has been through. A few nice words can have a greater impact than you would think.

How do you feel about social media and what do you mostly use it for?

Although lately I make it a point to reduce the amount of time I spend on social media, I do like to use it to capture moments, keep in touch and feel inspired by others.
