Managing Multiple Priorities

Think on Your Feet

Practical solutions for managing effectively

Communicating with confidence and clarity under pressure

Managing Multiple Priorities promotes personal effectiveness through individual learning and change, enabling participants to take control of their work and time.

Think on Your Feet enables participants to make an impact under pressure, using techniques from the science of psychology to structure ideas quickly and simply, create memorable stories and simplify complex information.

Based on the work of a range of experts – from Steven Covey to Alan Lakein and Edward de Bono – participants identify practical solutions not only for themselves, but also for their teams. They learn how to balance two key decision bases, what and when, as well as how to manage demanding priorities against deadlines by distinguishing important from urgent tasks and discovering how to make decisions quickly. The programme provides insights into the challenges of managing time while working with others – including delegating effectively, reducing interruptions and dealing with dangerous ‘time bandits’.

A fast-paced and highly participative programme, the content includes presenting under pressure, using the Think/Feel/Do structure, TRAIN-ofthought technique and Occam’s razor reasoning. Participants learn how to handle tough questions confidently with the radar reply technique and using question jujitsu. And they discover how to deal with Sharks, Ramblers and Vultures. We also look at making messages memorable using the SUCCESS framework, developed by the Heath Brothers in their book Made to Stick.
