The Church’s One Foundation The Church’s one foundation Is Jesus Christ her Lord; She is His new creation By Spirit and the Word: From heav’n He came and sought her To be His holy bride; With His own blood He bought her, And for her life He died. Elect from ev’ry nation, Yet one o’er all the earth, Her charter of salvation One Lord, one faith, one birth; One holy name she blesses, Partakes one holy food, And to one hope she presses, With ev’ry grace endued. ‘Mid toil and tribulation And tumult of her war, She waits the consummation Of peace forevermore; ‘Til with the vision glorious Her longing eyes are blest, And the great Church victorious Shall be the Church at rest. Yet she on earth hath union With God the Three in One, And mystic sweet communion With those whose rest is won: O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we, Like them, the meek and lowly, On high may dwell with Thee. WO RD S BY SAM U E L J. STON E ( 1866) | M U SI C BY SAM U E L S. W ES L EY ( 1 8 6 4 )
To God Be the Glory To God be the glory, great things He hath done; So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the life-gate that all may go in. Refrain Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice! O come to the Father through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, great things He hath done! O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To ev’ry believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives. (repeat refrain) Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son; But purer and higher and greater will be Our wonder, our vic’try, when Jesus we see. (repeat refrain)

The Master’s Seminary exists to advance the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping godly men to be pastors and/or trainers of pastors for excellence in service to Christ in strategic fields of Christian ministry. This is accomplished through an educational program and an environment of spiritual fellowship and relationships that emphasize unreserved commitment to the worship of God, submission to the authority of the Scriptures, a life of personal holiness, the priority of the local church, and the mission of penetrating the world with the Truth. Begun in 1986, The Master’s Seminary offers graduate-level education designed to equip students for effectiveness in Christian ministry. Through emphasis on careful instruction in the Scriptures, a consistent focus upon involvement and accountability within a local church, exposure to past and present movements in church history and Christian missions, and the development of communication, relationship, leadership, and administrative skills for ministry, the seminary seeks to produce graduates who are recognized as men of God and who are equipped to serve effectively as pastors, missionaries, teachers, evangelists, counselors, and leaders in evangelical ministries around the world.
Caps, Gowns, and Hoods in the Academic Procession Because each member of the faculty possesses a degree or degrees, the tassel is worn on the left side of the cap. Individuals holding a Doctor’s degree are identified by a gold tassel. CAPS:
The faculty are wearing two different types of gowns according to the highest degree held: Master or Doctor. GOWNS:
There are also two types of hoods: one for each degree. They vary in size with the smallest for Master and the largest for Doctor. The hood is lined with the academic color or colors of the school that conferred the highest degree. The velvet binding of the hood indicates the field of study to which the degree pertains. HOODS:
