STOCK UP AT THE THE SOUK MARKET Shoppers can stock up on traditional North African goodies when a Tunisian Souk visits Fargate next week (November 24 - 28). The Souk will be returning to Sheffield city centre, offering up a choice of specialist foods and crafts from Wednesday November 24 to Sunday November 28.
There will be plenty of products to browse, and the chance to buy some unusual Christmas gifts for family and friends. On previous visits the distinct Mediterranean feel has made it a real hit with both shoppers and visitors alike. Cllr Roger Davison, Sheffield City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture,

Councillor Ian Auckland, Cabinet Member for Transport, Business and Skills at Sheffield City Council said: “We
have received lots of requests from local people for night time bus services and we have now been able to help deliver them. Each of the three services will leave from Leopold Street in the city centre at 1, 2 and 3am at a flat rate of £2.50 and will take in the following areas: • City Centre – Crookes – Hillsborough - Parson Cross – Chapeltown. • City Centre – Ecclesall – Woodseats – Batemoor – Hemsworth. • City Centre Manor Top – Intake – Woodhouse – Handsworth.

Scott Bailey, Chair of the Licensing Forum added: “This is really good news for Sheffield and is hopefully only the beginning. If these services are well used, then we could be looking at other routes out of the city that are not covered by the three services that have just been launched.”
