STOCK UP AT THE THE SOUK MARKET Shoppers can stock up on traditional North African goodies when a Tunisian Souk visits Fargate next week (November 24 - 28). The Souk will be returning to Sheffield city centre, offering up a choice of specialist foods and crafts from Wednesday November 24 to Sunday November 28.

There will be plenty of products to browse, and the chance to buy some unusual Christmas gifts for family and friends. On previous visits the distinct Mediterranean feel has made it a real hit with both shoppers and visitors alike. Cllr Roger Davison, Sheffield City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture,

NIGHTBUSES ARE BACK! Late night revellers enjoying Sheffield’s vibrant nightlife will be able to return home even easier at the weekend. Night buses have returned to provide a service into the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings from the city centre. Councillor Ian Auckland, Cabinet Member for Transport, Business and Skills at Sheffield City Council said: “We

have received lots of requests from local people for night time bus services and we have now been able to help deliver them. The night buses will provide a safe and reliable way of getting home in the early hours of the morning at weekends to most of the residential areas of the city. We will be monitoring the usage of the service very carefully to assess its future operation.”

Each of the three services will leave from Leopold Street in the city centre at 1, 2 and 3am at a flat rate of £2.50 and will take in the following areas: • City Centre – Crookes – Hillsborough - Parson Cross – Chapeltown. • City Centre – Ecclesall – Woodseats – Batemoor – Hemsworth. • City Centre Manor Top – Intake – Woodhouse – Handsworth.
