SY VOTES FOR IT’S FIRST MAYOR SINCE DEVOLUTION On 5 May 2022 South Yorkshire will take to the polls to vote for its first mayor since the devolution deal came into effect. The Mayor of South Yorkshire will oversee a budget of £1.3 billion over their four year tenure. This includes funding for economic development, transport and adult education. Dr Dave Smith, Chief Executive of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) and Returning Officer, said: “We’re calling
on everyone to turn out and vote for their next mayor. “This is the first vote for a Mayor of South Yorkshire since the devolution deal took effect and this time we can be clear it’s a role with real power to its elbow – over the last four years the mayor has become vital part of shaping South Yorkshire’s future. “When elected, this person will play a major role representing our region nationally and internationally, acting as an ambassador for the
area and promoting South Yorkshire as a place to live, work, visit and invest in. This election is a chance for everyone to have their say on who that should be.” The next Mayor of South Yorkshire will be making decisions which affect the lives of people across the region including how South Yorkshire’s buses and public transport are run, developing region-wide schemes to improve the places we live, investing and deliver flood alleviation projects, and improving vocational training in the region.
In partnership with the four councils, the mayor will also lead on local nature recovery plans, the mission to deliver Net Zero by 2040, and ensure we put in place the support businesses need to grow, and communities need to thrive. The Mayor of South Yorkshire also has powers to respond to changing circumstances and allocate money where it is needed most. Grant funding has been awarded to arts, culture and heritage organisations across the region as part of the recent
recovery programme to support businesses and individuals badly impacted by the Covid pandemic. Dave Smith adds: “The next Mayor of South Yorkshire will have powers and money to decide how we create jobs, grow our economy, improve training, run our public transport network, and build new infrastructure and homes. “If you care about jobs, how you get around South Yorkshire, and how our towns and places look and feel – use your vote to decide who your mayor will be.”

AN INDIAN RESTAURANT LIKE NO OTHER The Das family is part of Sheffield’s Indian restaurant heritage, ever since Nishit Das ran the Curry Inn, his first venture near the traffic lights on Eccleshall Road, before taking on the Taj Mahal in the 1970s. From Sheffield, the family moved to Atlanta in the early 80s and returned to Sheffield just before Nilendu Das married Aparna in 1992. Aparna is an arts graduate and comes from Varanassi in Uttar Pradesh, which inspired the name and outlook of their restaurant. Aparna and Nilendu run Varanassi as a partnership. The family vision has always been for Varanassi to be an ‘Indian restaurant like no other’ and the eclectic and tasty menu is a far cry from the standard, including dishes such as Maharaja Mutton, Naaga Delight King Prawns and Machli Kalimirchi Curry. Their famous ‘green sauce’ is supervised by Aparna and is a family secret! But this vision has been applied to business and not just dishes. Above the restaurant, the previously neglected bar space has been re-imagined with the restart grant payment that Varanassi received from Sheffield Council. The team created a new bar in 2021, with screens showing news and sport throughout the day, and live music and dancing in the evening. When Nilendu and Aparna bought the building, the first floor was completely empty. Turning it into their comfortable, welcoming and visually unique bar space has taken a creative vision for what will work, as well as lots of hard graft. They thought about hiring someone to fit out the space, but eventually decided that Nilendu and Eric could do it themselves. They bought their impressive bar second-hand for £600, driving to Nottingham to pick it up and putting it together themselves. The curved upholstered benches around their tables were salvaged from a closed down shop. The large, wooden-framed lamps that stand around the space also came as a job lot; when customers ask about
them, as they often do, Nilendu has been known to offer them a spare one. Since its opening, the bar has proved a success. Nilendu remembers customers who have come up to the bar after dropping in to collect a takeaway; and two older ladies who had dinner in the restaurant and, when Nilendu encouraged them to try the bar after their meal, ended up staying and dancing until midnight. “At the end of the night I’m tired and keen to get home, but no one else wants to go!” jokes Nilendu, “But I like to see everyone happy and enjoying themselves.” Throughout the pandemic and the fit-out of the bar space, Nilendu has been working with Esther Morrison, expert place maker and food consultant and one of Business Sheffield’s Business Information Officers. Nilendu first got in touch with Esther about applying for grants, and she visited the bar when it was just a shell. “When she told me what she does,” says Nilendu, “I said, ‘I might need your help!’ It was Esther who gave me the idea to apply for a grant from Business Sheffield to help us through COVID-19, and she helped me identify that a bar upstairs would be good for the Crosspool area.” Esther advised Nilendu on the set-up and running of the bar space. “What we’ve achieved through Esther’s support,” says Nilendu, “is that the Varanassi Bar is doing really well, with live music on weekends, which no other pubs in the area have, and gives a lovely vibrant atmosphere. Everyone loves it.” As well as practical assistance, Esther’s enthusiasm for the bar project has given Nilendu valuable confidence. “This is your kingdom,” he recalls her saying; “You have the potential to make this place work.”

financial advice for dementia sufferers know about e-call? With the increase in energy bills taking effect later in the week and wider concerns around cost of living, Dementia UK has compiled some advice around how families can better manage their finances at this time as well as how to navigate conversations with customer vulnerability teams at energy suppliers. Accessing support, which can include accessing financial benefits, features as one of the top yearly reasons for calling the charity’s national Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline. The charity’s specialist dementia Admiral Nurses provide life-changing support for families affected by all forms of dementia. They work in hospitals, GP practices and local community services to provide clinical, emotional and practical support that enables people to live more positively with dementia. Deborah Hutchinson, who works on Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline, said: “We understand that this is a challenging time for families affected by dementia who are already in a financially vulnerable position. Worries around household finances can be exacerbated due to a family member having to leave their job because of a diagnosis of dementia, or caring responsibilities. Families may also face processing delays, in addition to inconsistencies in decision-making, around applications to financial support for day-to-day living; this can include Attendance Allowance, Personal Independent Payments and Carers Allowance. The current energy crisis is compounding these worries.” Dementia UK has signed an open letter alongside other charities calling for greater financial support for carers in light of the UK’s cost of living crisis. Dementia UK’s advice
includes: 1) Simplify finances Looking to simplify as much of this as possible may help reduce some of the stress around navigating the changes. Setting up direct debits at the bank is a good start and can lead to cheaper bills. If you have Lasting Power of Attorney for Finance for a family member who has dementia and they are struggling with energy bills, we suggest you contact the provider on their behalf. Supplying the proof of LPA can allow you to manage the handling of the person with dementia’s energy account. If your local banking branch has closed and you are unable to travel to a branch, ask your local Post Office if you can do your banking from there, including paying in and arranging direct debits. Many Post Offices now have this facility. You could also look at telephone banking options. 2) Talk to customer vulnerability teams and/ or ask to be put on the Priority Services Register Many providers have ‘customer vulnerability teams’, where you can register the entire household affected by dementia as requiring support to navigate any future changes. They can also talk through any options to support you with payments, such as grants. If the supplier doesn’t have these, you can ask for the number of a specific salesperson to call you back at a specific time. Follow this checklist below: • Have a pen and paper Have your bill account details ready and any supporting documents like LPAs • Have some uninterrupted time • Think about what style of communication works best for you when talking to the supplier, perhaps large text format on letters, documents, screen or live chat may be useful. have the ability for you to amend this yourself – but ask the customer service representative from the company to help with this. For anyone with any challenges around processing information, for example you may live with PCA – a subtype of dementia which affects visual processing – this can be a useful consideration • Have an idea of what outcome you want from the conversation (eg the supplier recording that you are a carer of someone with dementia, or someone diagnosed, and clear signposting to support services to allow you to manage your bills more easily) • Ask to be put on the Priority Services Register with your electricity network. They can then pass this through to your energy supplier. Priority services are applicable for anyone classed as ‘vulnerable’ so people living with a disability or long-term health condition, which should include dementia. As a vulnerable person or family, you can ask them to come up with a plan to support payment of bills • Enquire with your provider about the benefits of having a smart meter installed. Having this installed may be of more benefit to people with dementia as they don’t have to remember to take meter readings and they’ll get a more accurate bill • You could also ask about a water meter – if you have less people in the house than bedrooms, a water meter tends to be more efficient on cost • If the call is proving to be overwhelming, enquire about the possibility of the supplier calling you back to prevent a cost to you, if
they don’t have a free phone line • Ask the supplier to send a summary email or letter of what has been agreed; this may be beneficial for anyone who is hard of hearing or finds it challenging to process information due to cognitive issues 3) Access local support We know that families can face significant mental health issues due to dementia. Anxiety and depression are common experiences and any issues around managing finances, including energy payments, can add to these worries. Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline supports families facing mental health issues and can provide coping strategies to help reframe perspectives. The Helpline can also provide an overview of dementiaspecific support groups or local agencies in your area. Citizens Advice Bureau and your Local Authority can provide more general support around managing finances. Some employment charities may help with hardship grants, such as civil service, Chartered Accounts Benevolent Fund, Fire Service or military charities like RBL or SSAFA. You may also be eligible for other one-off payments to help you pay for energy payments. With the Winter Fuel Payment for example, anyone who was born on or before 26th September 1955 is eligible which would include many people diagnosed with dementia.

Does your vehicle have a potentially lifesaving emergency call (eCall) system? Do you know where its SOS button is? • Two thirds of drivers surveyed weren’t aware of the emergency call (eCall) system • Only one in five drivers know where this potentially lifesaving eCall SOS button is located in their vehicle • It’s estimated that over five million vehicles now have this safety feature Motorists have been urged to make greater use of a revolutionary safety feature in cars and vans amid continuing concerns that awareness of the eCall system is too low. Four years ago today, new legislation meant that all new types of cars and vans must have the emergency call system known as eCall – which includes an SOS button fitted in the vehicle. In the event of a serious incident triggering airbags, vehicle sensors activate the eCall system, which automatically sends the vehicle’s location to a 999 operator. The system enables drivers to speak with emergency operators. Having precise coordinates enables operators to direct emergency services to the exact location of the vehicle, meaning help could get there quicker. The emergency safety feature can also be manually activated by
the driver by pressing the eCall system’s SOS button to connect directly to emergency services. It provides a valuable alternative to using a mobile phone if the occupants don’t have a phone or can’t exit their vehicle, as the system provides the exact location and identity of the vehicle. Yet many drivers aren’t aware of this potentially lifesaving technology or how to use it. National Highways is now joining forces with vehicle manufacturers and motoring groups in an attempt to raise awareness of the potentially lifesaving technology. All new types of passenger cars and vans built since April 2018 have eCall fitted as standard. However, in a survey from March 2021, National Highways found that many drivers were unaware that the emergency call system and its eCall SOS button existed or where to find it. Vehicle occupants were also using the facility for nonemergency calls, which is not its intended purpose. National Highways is working with others in the industry to promote this safety feature, which has already seen an increase in the correct use of the eCall system of connected emergency services calls from 22% in 2020 to 59% in 2022. The system is designed to be used if you need to summon help because you: • have stopped in a live traffic lane (or see

Using the SOS button means that the 999 operators automatically receive your vehicle details including your location and direction of travel. Through your vehicle’s speaker system,
they will then ask for further information to establish the nature of the emergency. You can also use this system to report a hazard on the road or a vehicle travelling in the wrong direction. If you are involved in an incident that triggers your air-bags or other safety sensors: • Your vehicle sensors will automatically activate the on-board emergency call (eCall) system and send your vehicle details including your location and direction of travel when contacting a 999 operator. • The 999 operators will use your vehicle’s built-in safety feature to speak to you, and ask for further information to respond quickly and appropriately.

FUTURE OF ICONIC VENUE THE LEADMILL THROWN IN TO DOUBT One of the Sheffield’s most iconic music venues, which played a pivotal role in the careers of bands including Pulp, and Arctic Monkeys, is at the centre of a bitter row over its future. The current management of the Leadmill announced last week that they are being evicted and forced to close the venue next year once their current lease has expired, prompting a wave of dismay on social media. But that was firmly rejected by the venue’s landlord, the Brixton-based Electric Group. Dominic Madden, Electric Group’s chief executive and co-founder, said: “For avoidance of doubt, we are music people, we spend our lives running independent music venues and the Leadmill
will continue to operate as a special music venue. The management may change but the song stays the same.” The Leadmill said in a statement last Thursday (31st March) it had received the “devastating news” that in a year’s time “our landlord is evicting us and forcing us to close”. It asked people to share the news and send their favourite memories as part of a campaign to save the venue, using the hashtag #WeCantLoseLeadmill. In a second statement, the Leadmill said it was being “exterminated” by the landlord. “They are destroying our business by evicting us. They intend to profit from the goodwill and reputation built up over those 40 plus years. “Millions of pounds have been spent by the Lead-
mill (not the landlord) on the fabric of what was once a derelict building. It is the hardworking, dedicated and local family of staff that have put 42 years’ worth of their blood, sweat and tears into making it the cultural asset it is today. Without the Leadmill, the building we currently occupy would be nothing more than a derelict old flour mill.” The Leadmill opened in 1980 and is Sheffield’s longest-running live music venue. It is also an important venue on the UK comedy circuit and hosts club events, theatre and screenings. Electric Group, which bought the freehold in 2017, said the Leadmill was not closing and that it was investing a substantial sum in the venue.
Mike Weller, the head of music at Electric Group, said: “There was never any question of us closing the Leadmill, despite all the social media chat. The refurb will make the room better equipped to accommodate the modern wants of live music and club nights, for audiences and performers. We want to ensure the Leadmill’s future is as exciting as its history.” The Leadmill has been the venue for countless important music events, including the first Pulp gig in August 1980. A plaque was unveiled to mark its 35th anniversary in 2015, with Jarvis Cocker recalling how inexperienced the band was at the time. “It was the first time we’d been on a proper stage, and when our bass player started experiencing
feedback he didn’t know what to do, so he started walking towards the front of the stage and fell off it,” Cocker told NME. “People found us entertaining, but only because we were a bunch of mad kids who didn’t know how to play.” Arctic Monkeys regularly played at the Leadmill in their formative years and debuted their second album there. Kate Martin, Executive Director at Sheffield City Council, said: “The Leadmill is an iconic part of Sheffield that means so much to people both in the city and across the country. When people talk about music in Sheffield they talk about the Leadmill, it’s part of our fabric and we absolutely do not want to see it go. “We don’t own the building and therefore have
limited powers, but we’re looking at every opportunity. We have been working with the venue in recent weeks and will continue to do anything that we can to support them. “The Council cannot directly intervene in the legal process taking place between the Leadmill’s landlord and tenant. But, there’s nothing to stop a
group of people or organisations who feel strongly about the venue’s worth historically and culturally to the city exploring what processes are available to seek, to try and formally protect the venue’s use going forward. “Music is in our bones in Sheffield and the Leadmill plays such an important role in that, for both performers and music lovers.
It’s where upcoming talent gets a chance to shine, where people remember their first gigs, and where so many iconic acts have walked that stage. “The strength of feeling about this is clear to see. Sheffielders, the music industry, people from around the country, they are all coming together to campaign to save the Leadmill #WeCantLoseTheLeadmill.”

The evening will feature classics from the Dire Straits back catalogue and include a Q & A led by Paul Cummins (ex-Dire Straits management). Paul will be asking questions, during which John will reveal the story and development of the band from its humble beginnings in a council flat in South London, where songs like Sultans of Swing and Wild West End were created, on their journey to playing all over the world to millions of fans, making albums in London, New York, Montserrat and Nassau; performing and working with some of the world’s most influential and creative musicians and producers.

BLADES SLIP OUT OF PLAY OFFS OWLS LEAVE IT LATE United began April with a disappointing defeat against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon. A contest that lacked any real quality was decided by John Egan’s unfortunate second half own-goal as the hosts took the spoils at the Bet365 Stadium. Boss Heckingbottom made four changes for the clash in Staffordshire. Baldock, Fleck and Ben Davies were all recalled to the starting XI, whilst Jebbison was handed a first United league start of the campaign, with recent signing Uremović amongst the substitutes. Both sides had a sight of goal inside the opening ten minutes. Brown broke down the right and won a corner, from which Jagielka registered an attempt on goal in the second phase. At the other end, Gibbs-White saw a shot deflected wide after Stoke failed to fully clear Robinson’s long throw into the area. A flurry of Blades corners followed, but the lively Brown robbed Robinson inside his own half and
advanced towards goal threateningly before firing high and wide on the angle. United, through Gibbs-White, found themselves with only Harwood-Bellis and Bonham to beat, the Wolves loanee looked to have fashioned enough space to trouble the goalkeeper, but in the end he could only stab an effort wide. The remainder of the first period was scrappy to say the least as neither side managed to seize control of the contest, although following some decent play around the box, Gibbs-White saw another attempt deflected behind. The home side were quicker out of the blocks after the interval and only an excellent intervention from Davies denied Wright-Phillips a certain goal, before Maja’s missed two golden opportunities from identical positions in as many minutes from excellent crosses by Tymon from the left. Either side of the hour mark, Norrington-Davies threatened down the
left, first his low cross evaded everyone before Thompson blocked Baldock, then a retreating Brown appeared to have clipped the heals of the Wales international but referee Webb waved away appeals for a penalty. Fleck then teed up Norwood, but his placed effort was easily saved by Bonham. Ndiaye replaced Norwood in with 20 minutes or so to go, but on 78 minutes the Potters broke the deadlock as Tymon got
in behind Davies and cruelly for the Blades, his cross deflected into Foderingham’s goal off skipper EGAN. The goal prompted a double change as Osborn and Osula replaced GibbsWhite and Jebbison. United pushed until the end, including over five minutes of stoppage time after Tymon’s injury, but it wasn’t to be as the Blades dropped out of the Championship top six, despite Osborn coming within a whisker of rescuing a late point.
The Owls posted a last-gasp win over Wimbledon to stay right in the play-off mix and here is a selection of talking points from Darren Moore’s postmatch press conference.
ON THE GAME Credit to the players because they kept going all the way to the end and found a way to win. Wimbledon came here and made it difficult but they were always going to do that because the finishing line is in sight and teams know what they have to do. They had the new manager bounce as well so this was never going to be an easy game. We have given everything and I think we got what we deserved at the end. ON A KEY SAVE They go three-on-one and have a great chance to win the game but Bailey has made a marvellous save. That has given us the platform to go on and win the game ourselves. Credit to Bailey of course and credit also to our

over Wimbledon, in which the Scot laid on the opener for Jack Hunt. Marcus Brameld, Head of Community at SWFC, said: “Barry’s commitment to the club’s community endeavors is fantastic. “He has become a hero to many supporters during
his time at Wednesday, which he never takes for granted, and regularly goes above and beyond to repay that backing. “He is an excellent ambassador for Sheffield Wednesday and fully deserves this recognition.”

goalkeeper coach Adriano Basso, who does a lot of work on the concentration side. When your defence is solid and doesn’t let the opponent create a lot of chances, it’s vitally important for your goalkeeper to keep his concentration and Bailey showed why today.
ON THE WINNER I’m pleased for Lee because he spent a few weeks in the treatment room and I know his character, he wants to be out there playing, helping the team. We brought some subs on, we put Marvin back to the back three and Mendez out wide because they were playing the low block so we wanted to stretch the game and put some crosses into the box. Pato is the ideal man to get on the end of a cross like that from Baz and he’s directed right into the path of Lee Gregory, who’s headed into in. The atmosphere was electric when it went in and we’re really pleased to send the fans home happy.
Blades and Reds make a difference for Weston Park A season-long partnership between United and Barnsley FC has raised a five-figure sum for Weston Park Cancer Charity. The ‘Together at Every Step’ partnership has seen the two South Yorkshire football clubs put rivalries to one side to join forces in support of Weston Park during the 2021/22 season. The second game of the partnership at Bramall Lane recently helped bring the total raised by the partnership to a

EARNING EVERY POINT I said in my programme notes today that there is no such thing as an easy game. Never. They made it hard for us and the good thing is that we found that way through at the end. You have to earn every single point, there are no gifts in football and especially at
this stage of the season. It’s about keeping that focus now, that drive and determination. We have to take one game at a time and treat every game in isolation. We are really proud of our home form but now we have back-toback away games against two very good footballing teams.
remarkable £13,850. Fundraising activity has taken place before, during and after both games between Barnsley and United this season, including bucket collections, raffles and auctions. Vital awareness also raised by both teams warming up in purple Weston Park Cancer Charity t-shirts before both fixtures and through prominent brand presence in and around both Oakwell and Bramall Lane before each game. Both sets of fans gave extremely generously to Weston Park, with a fourfigure donation also made by long-standing Weston Park supporter, BAPP Industrial Supplies. Dave McCarthy, head of operations at United, said: “We’ve been very proud to partner with Barnsley FC this season to support Weston Park. “The funds and awareness raised by this partnership will
make a real impact for local people and communities. “The shocking statistic that in two people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime heightens the importance of doing all we can to help organisations like Weston Park, who work to make things better each day for anyone going through cancer. “Thank you to the brilliant Blades fans who gave so generously this season and helped make a real difference.” Fans can still get involved with the Together at Every Step partnership online for more information visit together-at-every-steppartnership.raisely.com For more information about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s commitment to providing support, enhancing treatment and enabling research, visit westonpark.org.uk or call 0114 553 3330.

It was the stuff of dreams for Rawmarsh-born youngster Ben Wiles, as he played a starring role in leading his home town club, Rotherham United to Papa Johns Trophy glory. The Millers were just seconds away from suffering cup heartache at Wembley Stadium as Sutton United looked set to claim a 2-1 victory but Paul Warne’s side grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat as sub Jordi Osei-Tutu ensured the game went to extra time, before goals from Chiedozie Ogbene and Michael Ihiekwe took the game away from the League Two outfit. Speaking exclusively to www.themillers.co.uk afterwards, Wiles, who came through the club’s Academy, admitted that he played out every Rotherham fans’ dream, by donning the club’s colours, and securing silverware, in the most dramatic of circumstances, at the home of English football. “It was a rollercoaster of emotions that game.” Wiles admitted. “This game has got a special place in my heart. I’m
really blessed just playing for this club and doing great things. Being a local lad, it just makes it extra special to play in front of the fans.” It was far from plain sailing for Wiles, and his Rotherham side, who were second best for much of the Wembley Stadium affair as Sutton United belied their underdog status by taking the lead through Donovan Wilson. However, Wiles made his mark on the highest stage possible, by dragging his side back on level terms, by scoring a fantastic goal with a dipping effort from distance. The equaliser proved a false dawn for the Millers, though, as Craig Eastmond put the capital outfit back in charge, early in the second half. The Millers were on the brink of defeat until Osei-Tutu popped up before Rotherham’s superior know-how, and more importantly, fitness, gave them the edge, in the extra half an hour, according to the local youngster. “We were on top, we were behind and full credit to Sutton, they were something we did not expect. They should be really happy with their performance and hopefully they will do well in the league.” Wiles added. “In the last half an hour, we knew that fitness was the cutting edge for us. We do extra stuff on fitness and this was the defining moment for us. You could just tell the game was stretching. Their players were getting cramp. We were lucky enough to get the two goals and see the game off.”
Wiles’ progress through the academy is testament to the work of the club’s staff and with another graduate Joshua Kayode also handed a Wembley starting berth, the dynamic midfielder believes that the club are reaping the rewards of the fruits of their labours on the training pitch. “Full credit to the gaffer and management staff for having time for me. We have some good prospects coming through and hopefully they can also get in this position.” Wiles added. The topsy-turvy nature of the showpiece final will live long in the memory for all those with a Rotherham United persuasion, but with the carrot of another Sky Bet Championship promotion being on the cards for Warne’s side, Wiles believes the joy of their Wembley heroics could give them some much needed momentum as they vie with the likes of Wigan Athletic and Milton Keynes Dons for one of those cherished automatic promotion spots. “It was a hardworking performance from us. In the end, we got the job done and we will take the confidence into the league and that is the priority for us.” Wiles enthused. “We want to take this momentum into the league. I know we are capable of going up and our performances this season show that. “I don’t want to tempt fate but we want to be back in the Championship and show everyone that we can stay up at that level.”
McSheffrey disappointed Gary McSheffrey was encouraged by the performance from his side, despite defeat at Wycombe Wanderers. Two goals from the hosts secured them the victory despite Rovers having several chances throughout the game. On the loss to Wycombe: “The result was disappointing, but the performance level was there. The lads were creative on the ball. “We created a lot of chances and David Stockdale’s had a great game in goal to keep us out. “The lads are gutted with the result, and we deserved a lot more out of that game. “We dominated the game and we have been hit on the counter and punished. Our performance level was good and I’ve reiterated to the boys that it was the type of performance I expect every week. “When we got on the ball we looked brave and creative. We just need to add more killer instinct to our game moving forward.” On the fans’ support and tribute to Richard Bailey: “We thank the fans for making the long journey and the minutes applause was a nice touch to Richard. “We are thinking of Richard’s family at this time and if they need anything from us we will always be here for them.”
