Will Vaulks says the mentality of the Owls squad has been a key factor in the Owls season.
The midfielder spoke with swfc.co.uk following Friday night’s draw with Bolton and cut a dejected figure after posting a point on the board. With a desperate desire to improve game on game, Vaulks has his eyes set on Tuesday’s South Yorkshire derby as Wednesday head to Barnsley. Discussing the club’s winning mentality this season, he explained:
“We want to win every game, simple as that really. Every game we go into we want to win and when we don’t we are disappointed.
“We’ll pick the Bolton game apart and see where we can be better and go from there.
“We’ve got a massive game on Tuesday, Barnsley away so we’ll take the point from Bolton, see what we can improve and go and try and win that game.
“We’re 23 games unbeaten and we want to see how long we can keep that going.
“The players and staff want to win every single game and that mentality has been a big factor in our success so far.” Wednesday have suffered just three defeats all season with the last going all the way back to early October.
