THOUGH IT TARRIES,WAIT! October 19th - 26th 2014
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:3-4
Message from Bishop Dr. Desmond Whittaker and Pastor Lorraine Whittaker
Greetings Welcome to Holy Convocation 2014. This marks the 15th year anniversary of indefatigable Christianministry not only to the Cayman Islands, but also to the other territories to which we are connected. The journey here has been perforated with many emotional and spiritual variations; some of which have challenged the momentum of our zeal, threatened to stagnate our growth, and cause the abortion of our vision. However, the strong unflinching resolves of the saints as well as a clear understanding of our mission has brought us here today. By God’s grace, our stumbling blocks have been used as stepping-stones to hurl us faster into the fulfilment of our destiny. Today, Light of the World Christian Fellowship stands with a greater awareness of its mandate to these islands, as well as to the world, “to evangelize contagiously, educate continually, and to edify consistently.” The theme chosen for our Holy Convocation this year is: “Though it tarries, wait!” This indeed is a reminder that God has already made provision for the vision He has given to us. We have also come to accept that after fifteen years of tireless service, un-daunting faith must be employed to realize any semblance of success. According to our theme scripture, Habakkuk 2:3-4, the vision is certain and its fruition is somewhat predetermined. Therefore, like old Samuel in 1Samuel 7:1-17, I implore you to continue to recognize the Lord as our “Stone of help” while we continue to battle our moral and spiritual tormentors. On behalf of Pastor Lorraine, the Executive Council and the entire membership of the “The Light,” I extend a convivial welcome to the Presiding Prelate of Light of the World Interdenominational International Association, Dr. Ruth W Smith Holmes and the members of her entourage; Bishop Danny Bennett from the United Kingdom and his entourage; Bishop Tracy Pitts and his entourage; Bishop Ben Gibson and his entourage; Pastors Roy Allen and Kevin Richards and their respective entourages from Jamaica. We must also recognize the bishops and pastors who have been supportive of this ministry over these many years. We welcome all our international delegates as well as those from within our community. We are glad you are here to participate in what God is about to do this week. We invite you to share our excitement as we celebrate the maturing of our vision. We now see with our eyes and bear witness with our spirits that God has now made room for us in the Cayman Islands. We are not oblivious of the fact that these are times of unprecedented challenges, however we take courage from Daniel 11:32 “…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” It has been fifteen years; still our zeal has not faded. Thanks to God who has been our “Ebenezer.” Bishop D. W. Whittaker 2
Message from Archbishop Dr. Ruth W. Smith Holmes Presiding Prelate
Greetings Bishop Desmond Whitaker and the Light of the World Christian Fellowship Church, Grace and Peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who causes us to abound in every good work. Your relentless determination throughout the years is truly inspiring. As the Anniversary Theme reads: “though it tarries, wait! May the Lord continue to manifest Himself, as you continue to preach the Gospel. Congratulations again to a very fruitful ministry and pillar of the community. There is Hope in Christ! (Col 1:27)

Message from Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin MBE, JP, MLA
Congratulatory Message to Light of the World Christian Fellowship
Congratulations to Light of the World Christian Fellowship for 15 years of dedicated service to the Cayman Islands and its commemoration of its Holy Convocation from 19-26 October, 2014. The theme, “Though it tarries, wait” is fitting for a Christian organisation that has firmly planted its roots in the soil of these Islands. We are told in Habakkuk Chapter 2, verse 3 that “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. Light of the World certainly has a vision that is being carried out, letting your light shine before men so your good works can be seen while glorifying the Lord in Heaven. It is my prayer that your mission continues for another 15 successful years and longer.
Hon. Alden McLaughlin MBE, JP, MLA Premier

Message from The Hon. McKeeva Bush, OBE, JP, Leader of the Opposition
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” These words, from the book of Hebrews, Chapter 12, verses one and two, remain a constant reminder that the Christian race is not for the swift; rather, it is for those who, -- like our Saviour, -- can endure the many trials and tribulations that must inevitably be faced. Today, as you celebrate this marker of your fifteenth year as a congregation, you have demonstrated your perseverance, your commitment to the faith and to the great commission of Jesus Christ. I have no doubt, that you have overcome many difficulties over the years, and that they have prepared you for other challenges to come. So as you continue on your journey, I pray that God will bless you with determination, strength, peace and grace. For we know that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Congratulations on achieving this milestone, and may God keep you all for many more years to come.
Hon. McKeeva Bush, OBE, JP, Leader of the Opposition

Vision Statement To globally foster an interdenominational team of radical warriors for Christ by focusing on Evangelism, Education and Edification in an effort to exponentially expand the Kingdom and convey Glory to Almighty God.
Our Mission statement We will Evangelize Contagiously, Educate Continuously, and Edify Consistently. We will catch the vision, we will remember it and by the help of the Holy Ghost, we will carry it out. Because of this stand, our church has grown from strength to strength, both numerically and spiritually. Many can attest to the empowerment they have received through the undiluted preaching of the Word and the teaching which was delivered through schools established by our Bishop “School of the Prophet’s and International Bible Training Center”. Students including members of our congregation as well as other congregations have graduated with certificates, diplomas and bachelor’s degrees in Biblical Studies. The vision that the Lord has given this ministry is being realized at such an amazing rate, that we are blessed with the need to expand our territory. We are currently in the process of erecting a new sanctuary with a multi-purpose facility to continue to educate, and edify the people of God in various areas. We declare that the next ten years will find us hard at work still holding resolutely to the plough and pressing on in Jesus’ name. Night is approaching, Let us work while it is still day. Let us take to heart the commandment found in Matt 5:16 which says “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
We claim God’s continuous blessing as we march on in the army of the Lord Jeremiah 1:5 Declares,” Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” 8
Greetings
It is with sincere joy that I greet and Congratulate Light of the World Christian Fellowship, Grand Cayman Island on this your 15th Annual Holy Convocation. The NLEC (New Life Evangelistic Centre) family is proud to share in this great convening of Saints and applauds our Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Desmond Whittaker and The Light Family for your faithful stewardship in this vineyard. The Theme, “Though it tarries, wait”, is a testimony of the resilience and patience exercise by Light of the World Christian Fellowship and by extension all true faith believers. It also speaks to the abiding faith that we possess and the confidence we should have in God’s ability to deliver on His promises.
This theme also service to remind us that there is more work to be done. We must continue to elevate our view of who God is, with every pasting day. Not just seeing Him through the lens of what He as done, but what He is about to do. He told Habakkuk, what I am about to do even if it was told you, you would not believe it (Hab.1:5). To all in attendance of this 15th Annual Convocation, get ready we are in for a great treat. I believe God will release uncommon breakthrough, as we pitch our tents and Camp here for the week at Light of the World Christian Fellowship. Thanks to our Visionary Bishop and first Lady Whittaker and to Light of the World Christian Fellowship for hosting this projected life changing week. We pray that God will continue to use you to be a beacon of Hope, a tower of strength, a place of refuge and House of LIGHT.
Happy 15th Holy Convocation. Rev. Kevin Richards

to God for enabling us to cater to the needs of ladies, spiritually, socially, mentally, emotionally and physically. We have come a long way enduring hardship, setbacks and suffering, but more so, we have had many triumphs and victories over our battles. Therefore we can truly join in with the theme, “Though it tarries, Wait.” For we know that “They that wait on The Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not

C O N G R AT U L AT I O N S ON FIFTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR! Every believer who has ever had a problem they could not solve knows the power of prayer. We know that the ears of God are inclined to our prayers whether spoken out loud in a moment of desperation or anguish, or said silently spirit to Spirit when no words can be found to express our deepest needs. Yes, believers know the value of prayer. So for the last fifteen years of ministry at
Prayer Ministry Light of the World Christian Fellowship, prayer has been the driving force behind every victory achieved,
Congratulations to Light Of The world Christian Fellowship Church for completing 15 years of successful ministry and subsistence. Led by our Bishop Desmond Whittaker, his ministerial team and auxiliaries, we have achieved tremendous growth as a congregation and have built eminent goodwill in the community. As the leader of our Ushers Ministry at Light of the World Christian fellowship I take this opportunity on behalf of myself and my team, to congratulate our congregation on this milestone. As a team, it is our belief that “Ushering is
behind every battle fought and won. Prayer has made the impossible possible.
Usher Ministry a lot more than parking cars and showing persons to their seats”. Ushering is a ministry. As ministers we are the first persons which a member or a visitor may meet when they
arrive at our church. Because of this we strive to move past our regular attitude of meeting and greeting to more of a spiritual one.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who builds it”. Psalm127:1 The “Partners in Love Ministry” is proud to be a part of the Light of the World Christian Fellowship. We congratulate our Church for fifteen years of Christian Ministry to the Cayman Islands. We pray fervently, for many more years of Holy Ghost Anointed, Truth declaring Message of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the Prayer Ministry at Light of the World Christian Fellowship would like to take the opportunity to congratulate this Fellowship for a job well done and for allowing us to be a part of the vision the Lord has given this church for this season. It is our prayer to continue praying with you and for you for many years to come knowing that He who promised is faithful. Once again God bless you and congratulations! Minister Bertha L. Moore Prayer Ministry
As a team, we do not take our role for granted and therefore we take this opportunity to thank our Bishop and his board of directors for believing in us as we execute our duties from the parking lot to the pew. As our church continues to grow it is our hope that our team will also grow. Therefore, we welcome any of our members who believe that they are committed enough to serving God’s people and would like make a positive contribution to our church as we prepare to move into our new home. Greetings Bishop Whittaker, Brethren, and friends of the Light of The World Christian Fellowship. We are excited and delighted to join with you in celebration of this significant and historic occasion, 15 years of ministry to the people of the Cayman Islands. There is a popular gospel song that says, “I don’t believe He brought me this far to leave me”. We are sure God has not brought you this far to leave you; the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”.
He has places for you to go on this Christian journey. On every journey the ride will not always be smooth, nor will it always be rough, but the good news is our destination with the Lord is sure. On this journey we are assured of success. Not because we are more skilful than our enemy the devil, but because Jesus is our pilot; He is our guide; He is our driver, our captain and most importantly He is the Way. We are confident that, in this Holy Convocation and Anniversary Celebration, God will not only show you the way forward through the theme: “Though it Tarries, Wait!’ But He will also provide for you the resources to reach your destination. The Lord will bless you and keep you as we celebrate and worship Him together for His faithfulness to the Light of the World Christian Fellowship Ministry over these years. Pastor Dwight Wright and the Brethren of the High Rock New Testament Church of God
