HOW TO FIND THE MET LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
THIRTY YEARS OF THE ARTS IN BURY
Bury Elizabethan Suite
B U RY
Bury College
By Car from the M60 (about 10 minutes) Take Junction 18 onto the M66. Exit the M66 at signs for Bury and follow the signs for East Lancs Railway. On Angouleme Way (Bury's ring road), turn right at the third traffic lights junction (the Elizabethan Suite is across to your left) into Haymarket Street.
By Car and Foot within Bury Town Centre You will pass the bus interchange on your right and follow a one way system around to the left. If you park on this street (outside the art gallery), The Met is a minute's walk away. At the end of the road, turn right onto Silver Street, turn right at the end and we are across the roundabout.
By Car from Manchester City Centre (about 20 minutes) Continue South on Deansgate onto Bury New Road (A56). Bury New Road crosses the M60 and becomes Manchester Road (A56) when you pass through Whitefield. Ignore the signs for town centre and turn right on to Knowsley Street. Cross the traffic lights into Haymarket Street.
By Metrolink Tram from Manchester and Salford Metrolink services run regularly to Bury from Manchester and Salford. Disembark at the Bury Metrolink terminus, and walk up Market Street to The Met. Last trams from Bury to Manchester leave Sunday 10.30pm; Monday-Thursday 11.30pm; Friday and Saturday 12.30am.
