Welcome Jackie Oates

13 Karine Polwart

20

Over the summer the venue has changed - a new bar with local ales and fine whiskies now greets early arrivals and late leavers - but the principle of The Met remains a programme of moving and exciting theatre and music which sets Bury apart and keeps our audiences coming back to the buzz of live performance. Programming The Met is all about giving our audience a great experience.

Something Else

21 Gretchen Peters

22

For many of the artists I have booked this season I know that they are guaranteed to give a memorable performance, even though their names may not be familiar. Having seen Findlay Napier in Glasgow, Brian Kennedy in Belfast, Arthur Smith in the Meadows in Edinburgh, 52 Skidoo in Ramsbottom, Canada’s Madison Violet and BBC Folk Award Winner Jackie Oates, I can tell you that these are experiences not to be missed.

Findlay Napier

23 The Unthanks

24

For others the experience has happened here previously and we wanted it back - Cara Dillon, Boo Hewerdine, Kathryn Williams, 3 Daft Monkeys, Tall Stories Theatre Company, Gretchen Peters and Blazin’ Fiddles are all tried and tested artists that keep us coming back for more. We hope you find many things to tempt you back in the brochure and look forward to welcoming you very soon.
