Our recently renovated Victorian arts centre in Bury is one of the country’s finest venues for intimate, high-quality productions. This season we’re thrilled to welcome some great music and theatre, including names new to our programme and established greats.
Front cover: Stacey Kent (Sun 4 Nov)
The Met’s intimate spaces are fantastic for innovative theatre. This season we have Perfect, a moving story of a brother and sister by the fantastic Tessa Bide. Halloween sees The Haunting of Blair Manor, and further provocation is on hand from In The Gut.
December brings Lily and the Christmas Snow Bear, another heart-warming family treat from the people behind 2017’s hit Santa’s Little Helper. Seasonal music includes shows from Thea Gilmore, Calan and St Agnes Fountain. We are committed to improving our communities, and so our event programme is presented alongside projects to attract new audiences who will benefit from quality, diverse and inspiring arts. Many of these events have been on sale for some time. To make sure you have access to the best seats consider becoming a supporter. You will enjoy previews and special events and help The Met to keep growing. Our annual festival Head for the Hills promises a rich weekend of music and arts in Ramsbottom; see you there for our eighth year. Otherwise, book yourself in for some amazing, intimate and thrilling evenings of music and theatre here at The Met. David Agnew, Artistic Director
