Craig Cole the guitarist talks about his band

1/ who started the band and when? The band was started years ago by the singer Paul.. this incarnation of the band has been about a year ago! 2/you state there is no Metal around, do you think it has lost something? There is metal around Arizona but it is mostly not classic metal with solos and singing! Cookie monster vocals lol… 3/musically you have heavy guitar riffs with shredding madness, in which metal category you set you in? We are more old school if you will, Dio, Priest, Maiden etc 4/ how did you guys meet? mags advert, gigs ... The manager found us online via musicians online posts 5/have you released demos or album yet? We have songs out now and more are coming! 6/apparently you haven’t played live a lot what are the reasons? We have only been together with the new bass player for a few months! I actually have only been on stage 3 times as a guitar player! 7/ many bands make a video these days to get heard easily , have you? No real videos yet! 8/ how do you met robin? From metal messiah radio? She found me on facebook and she is awesome! 9/you show yourself on facebook , although Gym is like religion in the states why or what muscle sport brings you? I am a bodybuilder yes! I don’t drink, smoke or do drugs! Being in shape seems to make life easier! And I have a responsibility to the fans to be the best I can be! is it just to get girls? No not at all...waiting for someone special! 10/ who is your fav guitarist? Probably Yngwie Malmsteen! how did you learn? I picked up the guitar one day and it all just started to happen, I can’t really explain it! what do you try to achieve? In the band context I am just trying to write and/or serve the song as best as I can!

11/who creates the songs, what inspires you? I write the music usually! All the guitar parts, bass lines etc! then we fine tune them and everyone brings their ideas in as well.. 12/have you played in other bands before? I have been a drummer for a long time and have played all over! Only been a guitar player for a short time! I am also a singer as well… 13/are there any bands you’ll recommend listening or following? I really like a lot of the European power metal music! 14/tell us about your equipment, guitar rig etc... I use Blackstar amplification and Dean guitars 15/do you have special outfit on stage during live shows, what do you think about it? I throw on a muscle shirt and just throwdown! The managers tell me what to wear lol… 16/ image these days is very important have you got an idea in the band on which image you wanna show , special design..etc..that matches ‘crimson storm’ I don’t really handle all that! But in closing I want to thank you and it has been my honor! We love our fans/family! And I wish you continued Success!

1/ your last album is called ‘game between good n evil’what ‘s the story about it? 1/ It is a line out of the lyrics from “Angels never die” ! Lyrics written by Conny. It is very individual... Of the dying and the lost of a person, that you really love(d) And all the thoughts behind that situation, in that moment, where you realize this! 2/who made the logo?did it had many designs? 2/Markus Vesper. It is a real painting. Yes, he is a well known designer. 3/does the name refers to the music leading to another music, or life n general? 3/ The name of this CD refers to a very important moment in life, which everybody has to face. The end. 4/Have you had other bands before or you changed the name after many years? 4/All of us played in other bands before, collecting experience. An this band started up under the name: called: Variety Law, in the early 90th ! 5/your early albums seem to have titles that follow each others, do you want to tell a band life? 5/ No, this was just hazard! 6/does the line up always been the same? 6/ No! In this line up we´ve been since 3 years. And a lot have changed, till´then ! But now, the spirit and the music works. 7/the music sounds like two guitars although its mentioned only one guitarist on the press pack...is it more a studio thing? 7/The music is written for TWO guitars, and it also works only with two of ´them. The second guitarrist had to leave us, because he didn’t fit in. - But, right now, we are completed! But, for the studio I had to make all guitar lines and most of the leads! (So, I asked some friends of mine, to do some guest solo/leads... like Alex Guth (Stormwarrior) and Dave Wiezorek (Ex-Stormwarrior)! And they did it very well! 8/ you sound very 80’s is reason you listen only the old tunes? 8/ No. Our roots are of course the 80´s, but if you hear very closely, there are more modern influences. We are all listening to a lot of different kind´s of Heavy Metal (80´s/90´s up to to Death Metal)

9/have you played cover songs or you just play some live if so which ones? 9/ We´d covered Bon Jovi´s You give love a bad name (in our style) and Dio´s Holy diver. Fun for us and the crowd ; ) And in the future we wanna play Metallica´s For whom the bell tolls!- Haaar ! 10/ how did you get the deal with German Pure Underground records? 10/Funny question. Some friends of us, sent our self-recorded EP, to PureSteelRecords, just to take a look at our Artwork. And immediatley, they asked us to sign them up! 11/Do you find it easy to play gigs? Germany beeing a hell of Metal country did you play on festivals? 11/Germany is really a Metal-Open-Air-Hell!! Yeaaaar! And it is NOT easy! But we´ll never give up ... and find our own way! The same means for gigs in Hamburg! But, next year... we´ll rock some shows in germania ! We´ll promise ; ) 12/who are your fav bands and have you played or met them? 12/ 5 persons, with a different licking: Him/Metallica/Ozzy Osbourne/Axel Rudi Pell/Testament/Guns´n´Roses/Iced Earth/Saxon/Amon Amarth/In Flames/Dark Tranquility/Metal Church/Annihilator/Gamma Ray... to be continued ; ) - Yes, we played some years ago with Metal Church and Girlschool on the Headbangers Open Air. And we are: of course some friends of Gamma Ray !

1You’re making music with your husband, is it easier or you never found the right people? I was very fortunate to work with my husband so I don’t have to rely on others that don’t have the same passion as we do. 2/your music is pop/rock does it represent your taste or you try to catch as many people as possible? Yes, It does represent my taste and It would be a bonus to reach as many people as possible too. I Love all different types of music but Rock Music is what I enjoy the most.

3/You seem to do it yourself, are u living from music? Yes and No. What we make in Music...We put back in. 4/Have you worked in the music industry? Yes, I have worked at a record label in Franklin, Tennessee, and also as a crew technician for Famous Country Artists like Reba McEntire, The Judds, Faith Hill , Tim Mc Graw, and Dolly Parton to name a few. And I have done shows with my husband Terry Lee Bolton where I sang, roadied, photography, videography, lighting, Pyro, PR work, Advertising, Radio, Web design, Promo, Booking and Management. Oh and supplied some food too...lol

7/what inspire you? are you spreading messages? 5/you have done a calendar and everybody now is doing it, is it just to get money or a good advert for your music? I did a Bikini Calendar not just for the money and to bring attention to my music...I did it because it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do.

What inspires me is the art of writing music so that others will be moved emotionally in some way or when a fan writes you and tells you that your music inspired them and gave them strength in their life somehow.

6/Are you playing any instrument at all?

8/are you gigin’ with local bands or high top ones?

I fool around with instruments more than I actually play them. I leave all the hard work up to my husband since he play most all of the instruments on my Cds.

At the moment we are concentrating on getting my New Cd out (full length). Down the road anything could happen.

9/What’s your view on music today? My view on music is everyone is tuning their voices which is fine in dance music because you just don’t care but in other music it’s kind of disappointing when you see an artist live and they don’t sound like their CD. Believe it or not, we have not tuned my vocals yet. I like the warmth in the voice compared to tuning. 10/you upload photos of your youth, who has been your fav band, music artist? Everything eighties music and I loved that woman were aggressively pursuing their careers and were in the forefront of hit makers from that era. 11/ there is a bit or Hard rock on some songs Motley, acdc, lita ford.... have you got a wide musical taste and are you trying to play live with those artists? Yes, I have had a very wide range of musical influences and your comparisons are a huge compliment and who wouldn’t want to do shows with those iconic groups. Thank you so much for this interview and opportunity. Here is my NEW Song ‘Social Misfit’ where you can listen to a sample> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Social-Misfit/dp/ B00IDT4GXC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393900945&sr=8-1&keywords=malanna+monroe+social+misfit

‘V ot ed fo bes r2 t 01 Th - D 3 - ras AH 20 h M - 14’ eta l Answered by Alex Gutierrez (Rhythm Guitars) 1/how did it all started at the first place? -In late 2008 we decided Edmonton, the city were we live in, needed a thrash metal band that wasn’t afraid to play it like it is, that’s is true thrash metal. We got together and shortly after we had build a good set list to play so immediately we started playing live shows. The rest is history! 2/what was the idea of the music direction? -To play thrash the way its supposed to, a perfect mix between punk and metal! 3/have you all been 2 girls / 2 boys? -You mean 2 girls/3 boys? No we haven’t, actually at the beginning it was 3 girls and one guy! That is Cara on vocals, Miranda on bass and Emily (max) on drums and Alex G. on guitar, later we added another guitar (james). And in 2010 Kevin replaced max bringing us to the 2 girls 3 boys line up we have now. Kent is our newest member replacing alex scott who had replaced James early in our history. 4/it seems you have different taste, punk, rock, thrash. heavy..do you think it’s the secret of good band? -There’s no secret to a good band really. People either like your band or they don’t… We wear our influences on our sleeves sort of speak, we’re all individuals and we try to show a little of us on everything we do. Besides how can you have thrash without punk?? 5/who decided of the bands name n logo? -We all did, we had about 2 pages worth of possible names.. As you may know EVERY name is already taken so one of the options was “Mortal Artillery” but we wanted a one word name so….”Mortillery” was created. Miranda our bass player did the logo. 6/when did you actually start?does the mucsic changed from the start? -First show was in 2009, yeah the music has changed, it’s a natural progression of bands I think, specially when members change, we want to hear what the new members can bring to the band and we want to all grow together as musicians. 7/what inspires you? -Life, Death, War, Blackness! Haha. Cara likes to write lyrics about topics she’s interested in, from serial murderers to supernatural states. 8/Canada seems to get Metal more and more what’s happening there? -Metal has always been here, were just getting noticed more and more. As the population grows in Canada more and more bands are formed, the quality of music grows and Canada makes a mark on the world metal map! 9/is it easy to be a metalhead over there? finding gigs?

9/Is it easy to be a metalhead over there? Finding gigs? -Yes! Tons of shows, either big shows or local bands, its easy to listen to metal, what’s difficult is to be a touring band in Canada, The closest big city west of Edmonton is a 12 hour drive…… 10/how did you get the deal with Napalm records? -We released our first album “Murder Death Kill” through Horror Pain Gore Death Productions in late 2011, shortly after we sent our album to a few record labels. Napalm contacted us and we managed to come up with a deal, not without the help of Eric Greif our lawyer and personal Jesus Christ! We signed in 2012 and here we are now. 11/have you played in different bands before? - Yes we all have, actually Kevin our drummer and I (Alex G) have a punk band called Panik Attak, the singer of that band is Todd Knutson the same guy who’s in charge of all of our art work! Cara used to sing for Minax. 12/your voice has a wide range from Heavy to Thrash have you learnt singing ? -Cara isn’t schooled in music, she learned by her self. Just singing along to Skid Row in the shower can make you a great singer! 13/what are your fav bands? -Too many to mention them all! But… Toxic Holocaust, Annihilator, Anthrax, Flotsam & Jetsam, Emperor, Dissection, Exciter, Exumer, Détente, Broken Bones, GBH… 14/have you played gigs with the same bands? like a metal scene... - Yes we’ve played with any and all of the metal and punk bands in Edmonton. Our friends form Calgary Gatekrashor and our friends from Toronto Skull Fist and Diemonds come by our city often and we love to play with them! 15/”no way out” is a title we see everywhere these days like annnihilator...what made you write this song is it a label wish to use ? -it’s a common feeling among metalheads Im sure, just look around, as time goes by it really does seem like there’s “No Way Out” of this maddness.

1/you’ve been in the underground since the beginning, although you played with the best, aren’t u angry? Yes I have started thrashing metal since 1980. Formed skitzo in 1981. And we played with just about every metal band in “the day” those were great shows…but angry? Yes if you are alive you are angry…I suppose…

2/you had lots of justice going on to you for your crazy live shows, what’s your view on it? do you think it has stopped your band getting on top? Our goal in skitzo was never be a top band… our goal was longevity and I think we championed it. With 19 albums and a solid core of 5000 fans world wide. Skitzo did some crazy tv stunts on jerry springer, national lampoon, judge judy, ripley’s believe it or not, howard stern and larry king live… it helped our fan base grow…

3/ since the 80’s you might have lots of line up changes?

Yes over 175 I lost count. But the ones who make it to shows or recording are staples to the band.

4/what do you think of all the 80’s bands coming back and the ones still here?

I think its kinda cool.. and believe me in the 90’s skitzo was a lonely thrash band. The 90’s just sucked.. getting billed w/ grunge bands, rap metal, funk metal…I was glad to see my friends come back out of the wood work…and get back to what they do best.~

5/what’s the actual life of the band? new albums?

We have a new record coming out/we started recording it on Halloween 2009 and just now finishing it up..many set backs and our producer Kurt Houser passed away..finding a continued producer, financial dealings and the recording studio flooding 2x it was a very trying record…but glad to finally soon to see the light of day on this titled DEMENTIA PRAYCOX – this new cd is a homage to some real roots of old school thrash metal.. we did some real obscure metal songs from bands like AXE WITCH, POSTHUMOUS, PCP, and a really old skitzo song from 1982 called “sick son of a bitch” .

6/who are your fav bands of all time and are you supporting new ones?

As for my fave bay area metal bands id say EXODUS with paul baloff, DEATH ANGEL 1st album era. KREATOR, BATHORY, SAD IRON, SACRIFICE, SLAYER from the 80’s. CARNIVORE & TYPE O (I miss peter steele he was a great man and good friend) THE ACCUSED, AXE WITCH, PURGATORY, BLESSED DEATH, POSSESSED,,,, ah the list goes on….NEW bands??  Yes check out HELL FIRE our ex drummer mike carli is in that new band they are very good… HATCHET, LACERATION, VX36, THOUGHT VOMIT,,,, amazing new bands to look out for…

7/Do you still write the same songs? have you changed with age? Yes I write the same kinds of sick crazy twisted music as I did in junior high school…

8/Do you think Thrash has lost something ?

No, it’s the same…but I think the technology had made it lose something…before cell phones.. the crowd was into it trying to capture the vibe…now you see people on their phones texting friends who did not make it to the show.., taking photos and video…the crowds minds are not engaged with the bands energy / its derailed by technology and that loses its power by some margin, this does not anger me, its just something  of a fact.

9/have you got regret? would you change a thing or you love life the way it is? I have many regrets in life…but I am trying to un regret them now…hahahah. I hate change but we just gotta roll with it….

10/have you been approached by labels to repress some older stuff? Well, yes in 2009 AERA DEATH out of china re-pressed all our old 80’s demos and its done real well…with a box set cd, tshirt, package…called MOSH TILL VOMIT – SKITZO. For contact lance ozanix email  pukezone@hotmail.com   or skitzo thrash two on face book. We have 3 of them already past 5000 limit. And our web site is  www.skitzo.biz Thanks for the time to spread the words of metal…your job is very important to us bands thank you hails & thrashings my friend.

1/How long the band has been together? the band was formed around 2011 but over the time we’ve played a lot together and finally after three years we are finally here with the new “The chain goes on” album. 2/have you had lots of line up changes before getting the right one? No..the line up on “The chain goes on” is the original line up and the only one. We are a family in every sense and I think that our music would not be the same without me , Bud Bid or Brian 3/ THe italian scene is pretty big with Thrash Metal are you apart from it or more heavy bands are getting out of this country? Well...the Italian scene is very different from north to south.....you say that the Italian scene is pretty big with Thrash bands but I think that there isn’t a real scene but only more or less famous bands. 4/is it easy to play live in your country? are you playing abroad most of the time? ANCILLOTTI is a new band as a name but encompasses the history of Italian heavy metal with its members so fortunately we have many fans and friends that support us As I say....we are lucky!!.....we have been on the scene for many years and of course our history helps us for booking live dates but the situation is not the same for young bands. Thanks to the excellent reception of “The chain goes on” album we have signed a new great deal that I think will give the band more opportunities abroad 5/this album is excellent as the big ones, have you worked a lot to get that perfection or it’s just a combination of passion? Thank you man...we have had great feedback around the world and we are very happy about it Together with our producer Fausto Tinello we worked hard to give to the album the right sound ..rough and wild!! I believe that modern productions today have become too cold and similar and that is death for the music I hear many friends and metal heads say: oh the sound and the emotions conveyed by the old records......so....we have the same idea and this is what we we did on “The chain goes on.” ...The notes recorded on the the album are played from beginning to end and the band on stage is even better ,so .. the chain goes on! 6/have you done demos before or beeing in other bands that have got you more professional in creation? No ..only some live recording and nothing else 7/how did you get the deal with Puresteel records ?  symply sending out our music..... thanks to the Ep “Down This Road Together” Pure Steel Records and four other great labels have offered us a deal but Pure Steel Records was the first one that believed in us and offered us the best deal. We have several staff members of the label who follow us covering the various aspects of the music business and the work they are doing is giving us a truly great visibility. 8/have you worked with the artist for the cover or you just sent him the music...? yes...the label gave us the opportunity to work with the great graphic artist Dimitar Nikolov he listened to some tracks from the album and of course we explained our idea behind the album title ..he did a great job and we hope to work with him again in the future!! 9/have you got your own studio?  No, not at the time..

10/ who have most inspired you? have you sent them your album? Oh man..many many bands!! .... we have been playing for so many years that if we sent a CD to all the bands that have inspired us we would no longer have any cds to sell..ah ah 11/ have you attended Metal festivals yet? In April we will begin the official “The Chain goes on” tour supported by German Booking Agency Red Lion Music  HYPERLINK “http://www.redlionmusic.de/” \n _blankwww.redlionmusic.de that will provide Tour, Festival booking and management for the band in Continental Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and United Kingdom. ...we have some tour dates planned but at this time I have no idea about the whole tour 12/have you got endorsement, what equipment do you use? Not right now.....personally I use the classic equipment ...Marshall amp and Gibson guitars and some vintage pedals....less is more!! 13/if a there was a band you could play on tour with who would it be? Oh..many bands...In the past we have played with lots of well known bands but it would be great to tour with Black Sabbath or Ozzy 14/is one of you working in the music biz or living from music? In the past we have worked in the music biz but it is very hard to live exclusively with music now days... at the moment though we have a new band, new label and a great new album so we are ready for the next step!

1/ you’re modeling and photograph, which one gives you the most pleasure and the one makes a living? 1) Photographer gives me more pleasure, because i get to help others following their dreams of becoming a model, and have made more of a living with the photography than I ever did modeling.

2/ You always sending bands are you working in a photograph studio as freelance? how do you work? 2) I have a studio at my house I can set up, but prefer to shoot especially bands outdoors in natural light, and natural backgrounds that fit the genre of the music, and the style of the band.

3/ You know lots of bands are you a groupie or you play/ sing? 3) I have been watching, and supporting local bands since I was a teenager, its just something i have always been interested in, and always wished I had some kind of musical talent, but no unfortunately I have to support the bands from the front of the stage, and also must admit there is a touch of groupie in me

4/Do social network help you or it’s just a right hand to get more people knowing u? 4) I go to group shoots with other photographers, and models, and I go to a lot of local shows..meet a lot of awesome people along the way!

5/With all the ‘live’ photograph outhere how do you find your way out? have u had troubles during shows? 5) I love shooting live shows, I will stand in the middle of 300 people to get my shots elbowing people back from my camera if I have to. The other photographers at the shows usually like me and try to take me under there wing and show me around, and help me. I usually never have problems with other photographers being in my way, or taking the same shots as me, because I have my own photography style, especially when it comes to shooting the bands, and musicians

6/Do you have familly or kids? if so how do u deal with it? 6) I have 3 grown kids! They do their own thing, but they enjoy going to the shows with me sometimes

7/Have you got magazines exposure? 7) I have been on the cover of, and inside many magazines as a model, but have yet to be published as a Photographer, but that moment is only a minute away in my mind!

8/have you got endoresment in anyways or you have your own equipment? 8) I am a self taught promoter, Photographer. I have bought all my equipment I use, but if anyone ever wants to sponsor me I am all for it!!

9what’s your favorite band? 9) My favorite all time band is Journey, have listened to them since I was a kid, and will always love them for nostalgia purposes, but my favorite “now” band is a local up and coming band called “SELFLES” I believe in those guys with all my heart, and know that one day the world will appreciate their music as much as I do!! Thank you Dawn* AMuse Photography

1/how did it all started? been to high guitar school? I started playing guitar when I was 7. I heard Angus Young and I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. From there I started listening to other guitarists and bands like Van Halen, Steve Vai, Metallica, Joe Satriani etc. I was always into the heavier music growing up. Now I listen to everything from Killswitch Engage to Waylon Jennings to Dean Martin.   2/who inspired you to play guitar? Angus Young for sure! It’s his rawness. His attitude and his pureness as a player. With Angus what you see is what you get. And what you get is a bad ass guitar player! There’s a reason why AC/DC is one of the biggest selling bands of all time.    3/did you release your first two albums alone? Yes. “Slather” which was my solo CD and “Relentless” which was the first band CD were released on our own.    4/how did you find musicians to join u? Mainly referrals from other musicians or ads that we placed up. We’ve gone through a few incarnations of this band but the core of the group has remained solid. We just got a new second guitarist, James Manalili and he’s a great fit for the band. Amazing player!   5/have you played in bands before? I was in SteelHeart in 2008 while I was in LoNero. However I left SteelHeart in 09 to continue with LoNero. SteelHeart was great but my heart is in LoNero. I’ve always been in original bands. To me there is nothing like writing a song and putting it out there for others to hear. That’s another reason why SteelHeart wasn’t a great fit for me. Although the singer Miljenko Matijevic is still one of my favorite singers and we still talk on a regular basis. I would definitely work with him again.

6/are you speaking with your guitar? Always! There’s no other way to play. I’m not interested in just wanking. Wanking is for the bathroom lol. I see so many guitarists on YouTube that can “shred” but they don’t say anything with their guitar. It’s like a typewriter being played by a rhinoceros. Don’t show me how fast you can play. Show me that you can write a song. Show me that you can create something that other people will want to listen to.   7/with all the guitarists out there how did you find your way?

Peavey Wolfgang. I have 4 and only one isn’t purple. That one was a gift from a really good friend. The “No Regrets, No Excuses” stickers on the guitars are the motto I live by.   12/are you endorsed? Yes. Endorsed by Dunlop, Peavey, Seymour Duncan and Hot Picks. 13/what’s your equipment? do you use digital technology?

By staying true to myself and what I want to hear. I’m not interested in being the fastest or the most complicated. I just want to write good music that people will enjoy listening to. Ultimately that’s what music is about….the listening experience. A lot of guitarists seem to forget that.    8/have you searched for singers or you always wanted to be a guitar band?

I use the Wolfgang into a prototype Dunlop 535 wah, into an Axxes pedalboard into an AxeFX Ultra which goes into the power amp stage of a Diezel Hagan which feeds out into a Wizard 4x12. I sometimes use Stone Age cabs as well. I used to use a floor board with about 8 pedals but now with the AxeFX the tone is so huge and the signal path so clean that I just can’t see going back No not interested in that. Having a singer limits you to pedals again.  musically with what you can do. With LoNero we are -- Bill free to play any style of music we want without having to worry about whether or not the singer can sing it. J.F.L. (The new CD now available via I have played with singers of course and I enjoy it. Sony Red) However LoNero as a band will never have a singer. www.LoNero.net   9/how do you create those melodies? are you listening special albums to inspire your creations? I listen to a lot of Frank Sinatra and Elvis but I don’t think any of that has made it into our music lol. Melody wise I just let the song dictate where the melody will go. I usually come up with the rhythms first and create the melodies around that.   10/the fact you have a similar touch as satriani is it a hasard? No not at all. To me that is a compliment. Satriani is without a doubt one of the greatest guitarists there is. His sense of melody and feel is unmatched. His style is instantly recognizable and that is something that all guitar players strive for. There are so many copy cats out there that sound like machines. Joe carved his own style and that is why he is still one of the greatest. He is also one of the nicest guys there is.  11/what’s the story with that guitar you always have? I love Peavey Wolfgangs. They are amazing guitars. When I got my first Wolfgang it was a perfect fit. I have an affinity towards purple and to me there is nothing more beautiful (guitar wise) than a purple

> 1/are you all behind the band’s creation? The band was created by me in 2009. Ive had a few lineup changes over the years as touring is a very difficult lifestyle and it is hard for most people to do it as they either have commitments to their dayjobs or they see it as a constant all around party which doesnt work. Im happy to report that the lineup I have on board takes it seriously and are ready to go.

> 2/ Canada has many emerging Metal bands some die young some stick , do you know personnaly ones? have you been in ones still there or even dead? Canada has an amazing metal scene. Into Eternity who we got to play with is one of my faves. And they have had to change singers a few times yet they still forge on. Some even have reunions. Like Disciples of Power who toured with bands like Razor and were signed to Fringe in the 1990s. They have made a comeback. Metal is a passion. It never leaves you.

> 3/you call yourself ‘chaos’ as your band’s name is it cos you’re a woman? No Its because I am chaotic :P

> 4/why your music sounds like a mix of old and new Metal influences? did you want to be out of the sticker or you think evolution is mixing? That was the first album. When I approach writing I want it to be open minded. I want to just let everyone in the room shine with their influence. I dont want to sound like this band or that band. I want to carve our own unique sound. The new material we have been writing has had more traditional metal influences creeping in with a bit of thrash as well. That has to do with the members of the band. Vocally, I have got to say its expanded my versatility. And I am fully playing that card going from gutteral to melodic in a heartbeat. And I am loving it.

> 5/Are you the kind of leader getting wicked on stage to make the show? I was once told I roll my eyes in the back of my head and it looks creepy. I dont even think I realize I am doing it. I just get into the show and I feed off the audience. Its not my show, its their show.

> 6/how did you do your album?? self produced? do you sell it yourself or using CD babys?

The album was recorded entirely at my house in Burnaby. We hired a producer and used CD Baby and sold it at shows. Later we were signed to Blue Pie Records in Australia. Now they handle the distro end of things.

> 7/Do you think music biz is complicated these days? Yes it is. Social Networking has brought a lot of recognition to underground bands. Corporate labels are becoming a thing of the past. Its easier to get yourself known but harder to sell your music. Its a bit of a catch 22.

> 8/how do you go from distorted voice to melodic one live? have you trained? must be tiring! Its just what I do. I like to take a Mike Patton approach and mix a lot of vocal styles. I am trained.

> 9/who designed the logo?difficult to know the name it looks like a bisuness one? Geoffrey Rousselot from France designed it. He did some work with Strapping Young Lad and other bands that I thought was iconic. Hes brilliant. He also designed the album and the website. I have been working with him for years.

> 10/is there a reason for you to have two vocals? or just fun... It makes it interesting and its all me. I love when vocalists show versatility. Particularly Mike Patton, Geoff Tate, Alyssa White-Gluz, Stu Block. I dont want to hear the same voice over and over. I want to add different personalities and aspects to what I do. Its just what I am into.

> 11/did you sing melodies in another band and got tired of it? Not at all. I still incorporate melodies. In fact the new material has a lot more melody in it. You will see.

> 12/what are the bands you follow or would recommend? Nationally: The Agonist, Into Eternity, Devin Townsend band, Tiger Star. Locally: Unleash the Archers, Tyrants Blood, Iron Kingdom, 88 Mile Trip, Ninja Spy, Edges of Seven, Saints of Death, Lethal Halo, Hellchamber, The Golers, so many great bands out there. I could go on and on.

> 13/In the six years of the band existance have you seen the music changing or the mentality? The music and the mentality has changed. I have more serious members now who are there for the music, not the party. My band is unique as it has people who were leaders of their previous bands, the guys who get things done. Stony is strong in the booking marketing promotion front, which is the skill set I have. Andrew is strong in the production, execution. organization, press front. I am strong in the marketing, promotion booking front. Everyone contributes to the writing. James is coming up with riffs and working them out with Stony all the time. It really is a unique situation. Its like a band of band leaders. I completely trust that everyone in the band will do a great job of whatever duty they are doing as they know what they are doing. Its truely rare.

> 14/what for you is the hardest thing as a leader? In My Own Chaos...my life is easier now as I have a team of band leaders. I have a team that has a unique dynamic skill set both with writing and with the business end of things. This by far is the easiest band I have ever been in because I have a team that shares the business responsibility. And 4 heads are better than 1. It is really the ultimate situation :)

> 15/ would you say live shows got in the success or the social media on the internet is better for band to get fans and heard? Its a combination of both. Internet gets you heard easier, and creates a buzz. Live you get to create the energy which creates the buzz.

> 16/in which Metal category you would fit you? Thats a tough one. We are pretty unique I think. Im going to just call it CHAOS!

> 17/ where do you take your energy from? anger , life, work... It depends on the song and what it inspires. Mostly life. The first album was inspired by my divorce. I unleashed my emotions from my perspective. It was kind of a therapy. The new material is taking inspiration from all over the place. Real life and fantasy.

> 18/ would you become a big star and tour all over the world or music is just a passion? so what do you think of those bands like FFDP who become suddenly famous and kick ass or Huntress after only two albums who meet the whole Metal community that was impossible back in the 80’s? A little bit of both. Im cool with music being a passion because it is. But I would not turn away being a big star and touring the world. Im just doing what I want to do.

1/ you are djin on the radio and have a band, how do you deal with all? my band SWARM PDX with Burton Ortega on drums and Kris Ashby who also has a great band called American Roulette has taken a back seat at the moment because the success of Thrash Zone has become quite literally a full time job. Its not just a one man show i have a team of people who help me put out the quality show everyone has come to expect. I created the idea and never looked back. I not only host but i also book the majority of the artists many who i have known throughout my 28 year career as a musician and radio personality in both San Francisco and Portland, i am the DJ and I also create and edit the videos you see on www.reverbnation.com/thrashzone666 and rounding out a spectacular team is my fiance Kymberleigh Boldt who is my assistant booker, my co-host Matt Scott who also plays drums for Godenied as well as being the VP for the Oregon chapter of the NYDM, April Jones who is the creator of Slayed In Oregon a metal show played here in Portland, Oregon on cables public access channel and she also is directing and editing a full length movie on The Mentors called The Kings Of Sleeze. You can see a 10 minute clip of it on youtube.com, we also are blessed with the very talented Steven Morris of Reno, Nevada who is our person in Art & Graphic Design and created the killer banners you see for the show and currently is the singer for Pain Clinic and Cyanate, our friends in promotion Tina Thompson-Webb and Gary Rutan of “Something Metal” and finally we owe a huge part to Sondra Lupulio Sego who funds the entire show and is owner of the station we broadcast from www.digitalrevolutionradio.com headquartered in both Pennsylvania and Conneticut and also the one man who believed in me and my vision from the very beginning Wayne “Rippn” Roche owner of www.kouvradio.com in Vancouver, Washington who was also my producer for the first 4 1/2 months the show began. Bless them both they have put their money where their mouth is and gave me full reign to do as I wish placing their trust in my judgement in this business. And to be honest thats the only way i’d have it. This show is my baby. 2/ how many bands have you been in? wow, lets see... I sang for SWARM PDX - Portland, Oregon for the last 18 months, Chains Of Belmont Portland, Oregon 2012 was a solo artist in my band Billy Boldt - Portland, Oregon from 2006 and still do special dates once in a blue moon with those songs I wrote and everyone can hear on www.reverbnation. com/BillyBoldt , Virus - San Jose, California 1993 - 1994, Dudes With Attitudes - Belmont, California 1991, Poverty - San Francisco, California 1988 - 1991, Infernal Forces - San Mateo, California 1986 - 1988, Original Sin - San Bruno, California 1984 - 1985 , Purgatory - San Bruno, California 1983, and it all started with P.R.I. - Foster City, California 1977 - 1979 a band which featured myself and Greg Steele of Faster Pussycat and Steve and Dave Raphael of Dangerous Toys 3/ have you always wanted to be on the radio? did courses.. Oh sure. I have two degrees in radio and television broadcasting going to school in ‘92-’94 at College of San Mateo and also at Foothill College from ‘94-’96 in Los Altos, California. I learned from top quality professionals who were anchormen and disc jockeys for KGO - ABC in San Francisco and KSJO - Infinity

Broadcasting in San Jose. After getting my second degree which I earned college credits for by interning for KOME in San Jose I was selected from a pool of people who had a 4.0 grade average in the field to work for the Howard Stern show in New York City helping on the set of his movie Private Parts and returned home to San Francisco in ‘98 after the premiere party at Madison Square Garden.. 4/ you met lots of great bands how did it happen? so many radio shows everywhere...why do you get these amazing bands every week for your show and the rest don’t? Well I have a big advantage that the others don’t have and thats growing up in the Bay Area during the birth of thrash metal and being among the first wave of bands hanging out and playing shows at Ruthies Inn in Berkeley with Exodus, Possessed, D.R.I., Forbidden Evil, King Diamond, Metal Church, Death Angel, and Tyrannicide and that led to friendships that have lasted 30 years to this day. So I literally know a lot of these guys very well. I also worked at a world famous club in the City called The Warfield for 10 years and worked for Promoter Bill Graham for 10 years before that until he died in a helicopter crash with Stevie Ray Vaughn. Its all those years working at the clubs where I have drank beers with some of the biggest names in Metal and kept in touch that gives me a big advantage over anyone else in my region and we all are a family of sorts. When one of us needs something or if a friends band rolls through town I pay my respects by going to the shows and they do the same for me. 5/you’re calling your show ‘thrash zone’ but you’re playing all styles of Metal, why not call it something more mainstream? Haha! Have you heard my show?Because I guarantee you wont hear a ballad. I play not only all the classic metal gods of my generation but also up and coming bands who I feel are head and shoulders above the norm, work hard, and keep their head straight. They deserve to be heard by the masses not some idiot thinking hes someone special cause he plays good guitar and disrespects others. When I see that I oblige him with a lesson in violence by curb stomping him with a smile. I’m old school and thats how I was taught on how to handle someone suffering from delusions of grandeur. If you don’t believe me ask my former partner on my first show here called The NW Metal Show. But for those who work hard, have a family, a day job, have faith, and stay humble, Its my pleasure to pass the torch and assist them in anyway I can be it through my show or my many connections in show business. 6/ do you receive lots of music to listen too and choose what to play? how is it working for you? I receive cds, promo packages, from artists all the time both new and from those that have been doing this as long as I have. Yes, I decide whats played on Thrash Zone but that doesn’t mean I don’t listen to others and their views. I play a large genre of metal because its my responsibility to remain objective and fair to everyone who comes to me wanting a shot to be played in the big leagues. You’d be surprised at the large spectrum of music I listen too. Everything from Elvis Presley to Slayer. How is it working for me? Well you’d have to ask those who spend time with me on the show that question, but I’m very laid back and having fun when Matt and I are on live. We crack open beers and smoke some good weed throughout the broadcast because really its like having a party with my friends, calling artists on the phone interviewing them like it was the first time we met, and getting the scoop that no one else gets because a lot of the time they forget were on Live and Uncensored and out comes the secrets and how they really feel on certain topics or people. 7/did you start the old way with a computer? or you bought the right equipment and bought a licence? how does it works in the states? Oh no, when I started it was before the internet phase were in today. I had to learn on million dollar mixing boards and I had to know each and every piece of that soundboard, what made it run, and why. Back then you worked for a company like Infinity Broadcasting or American Broadcasting Company who owns basically 80 percent of the radio stations in the United States. Back then if you got fired and were blacklisted you were done because there was no where else to go. Nowadays none of that is true anymore. You can buy SAMS Broadcaster for a few hundred bucks, pay your fees to the big 4 copyright/publishing companies ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange and with a laptop and a wifi signal along with a web site to stream broadcast anywhere on your own. 8/do you have a permanent job during the day? Music is my full time job, I don’t punch a clock like most of the men and women today. Being a musician is a 24/7 occupation because your constantly writing, promoting, rehearsing, talking to club owners, arguing over your cut at the door for the night, dickering over a guarantee, reaching out to fans, recording, touring, its not for the faint at heart. You have to be doing this because you love what you do and you want to share

your music with people who in turn love and appreciate it. You have to be dedicated and smart to make it in this game. If you think musicians have a lot of money because you see them with a video on tv and a hit song on the radio then you clearly have no idea how it works. I know many artists who record and write a hit album and hardly make a dime for all their hard work. Why does it happen? Because they didn’t get the right management or lawyer and didn’t get publishing rights to their own songs therefore not getting paid royalties. Take Paul McCartney for instance. Yes hes a millionaire many times over but did you know he doesn’t own any of the songs he wrote and recorded for The Beatles? No, because that is owned by the estate of Micheal Jackson who bought all rights to the Beatles library. The Beatles catalogue was bought and sold a number of times and eventually ended up in the hands of Michael Jackson for $40 million dollars in the 80s.That was clearly one of the biggest atrocities in music. 9/ you state you have made moves with Record Union and a record company in San Francisco as a A&R Territory Manager for the NW, finding talent, to get them signed? How do you do that and what is the link with the radio? You have to put in your dues to reach that level, have an ear and an eye for the next big thing, and make sure your Ts are crossed when signing on the dotted line. Music has to be your passion. Its been mine for the last 30 years. I know every aspect of this business both good and bad. It can be very rewarding if you just do it right the first time. 10/ Name some up and coming artists to watch out for and please leave us with any last words? In Portland, look out for Betrayed By Weakness, American Roulette, Violent Majority, in San Francisco, The Ghost Next Door,Toy Called God, in Tacoma, Mechanism, and in Reno, Steven Morris who I think should branch out into a solo career and mark my words someday he most likely will do just that and be a big time player in Metal for the next 10 years. I want to thank all of the beautiful people who I have crossed paths with in this life. Its been a wild ride and it ain’t over yet. Billy Boldt is back on top and i’m taking the next generation of stars with me. Thrash Zone is on every Monday night 6-9pm PST on www.digitalrevolutionradio.com you can hear past shows on www.mixcloud.com/billyboldt69 and be sure to check us out also on www.reverbnation.com/thrashzone666 and to hear my solo work go to www.reverbnation.com/ billyboldt if your a facebook junkie you’ll find me there too, Add me and say hi! My first interview on a live chat Facebook!!! With Bassist Randy Beach and Singer Kane nice people and great musicians read on... 1/TheMetal Mag : is beach your real name? • Randy Beach : Yes Sir! Randall William Rockwell Beach To be exact 2/TheMetal Mag : that’s awesome do u have anything related to winger ‘s guitarist? • Randy Beach : Probably. .. my guitarist Shane Cantrell is related to Jerry Cantrell 3/TheMetal Mag : i take that for yes ahah ...so are you in a band? or do you play in many bands • Randy Beach : I am in INVASIVE from Spokane WA 4/TheMetal Mag : lets talk a bit about the band (listening to the sound) • Randy Beach : Okay 5/TheMetal Mag : How long it s been on? who started it? • Randy Beach : We have been a bad for 3 years... solidified our line up about a year ago ,Shane Cantrell started the band... him and I are the only 2 original members 6/ TheMetal Mag : so I read u had line up changes, which difficulties have you encountered? did it change the music direction from the start? • Randy Beach : Our Vocalist changed the dynamic of the band a lot... The only shitty lineup change was us firing our first drummer... He acted really unprofessional to a national band we opened for 7/TheMetal Mag : what’s the story behind the bands name and logo? have u had different names before? • Randy Beach : Only this name... we feel the name is aggressive by nature...

we intend to Invade the world The logo incorporates the Fibonacci Sequence

8/TheMetal Mag : so who is behind the creations? do you create with a guitar like most bass players? • Randy Beach : Many of our songs start with a guitar riff and then we all mold it from there Shane comes up with a lot of the tunes... but we have 2 lead guitarists with ridiculous potential 9/TheMetal Mag : have you toured the whole country or abroad yet? which known bands have you been on stage with? • Randy Beach : We haven’t done touring yet I personally have played with a ton of known bands Invasive recently opened for Escape The Fate and is scheduled to open for Avatar 10/TheMetal Mag : you call yourself rock/metal have you all different music background? can u name some bands u love..do you think it is essential to make great music compare to members into the same style? • Randy Beach : The music is definitely the main focus! Our biggest influences are all school Metal... As far as current bands I would compare us to Sevendust, BLS, A7X... We’ve also been compared to Dream Theater

I could see us touring with bands like FFDP, Pop Evil and Alter bridge

11/TheMetal Mag : so talking about those bands what do you think of Metal and music in gen eral in the states? many musicians prefer listening europe Metal cos they say US is sold out ....what’s your point of view? • Randy Beach : That’s why we’re into more old school stuff... I honestly can’t fucking stand the fm radio that I hear

I’ve done shows with Quiet Riot White Snake Slaughter Powerman 5000 Adema Drowning Pool 7 Mary 3.... And many others

12/TheMetal Mag :when did u start the bass? have you been to music school n do you teach? • Randy Beach : I’ve been playing for 17 years...no formal training. ..been in bands the whole time..and yes I have had a few students 13/TheMetal Mag : Which advice would you give to bass players? • Randy Beach : The best advice for a bassist is to become super tight with your drummer and don’t be afraid to “step out of the box” and be experimental

TheMetal Mag :1/ have you played instruments before actually singing? • Kane Invasive : I play guitar, bass, drums . But just singing now TheMetal Mag : 2/have you got an idea of the melodies when writting lyrics? do you need something special like few guitars riff and do you arrange things after many tries? • Kane Invasive : When I’m writing vocals, I make up melodies from the music I hear, when I’m writing guitars I hear the melodies in my head first then try to play them Sometimes I can’t play them lol ... Or sing the parts I want TheMetal Mag : 3/ did you play instruments for pleasure or you’ve been in bands before and why have you stop playing... • Kane Invasive : We are all limited by our abilities I’ve always been musically inclined, been into music since I was a little kid I’ve played with lots of bands before where I was writing the guitars and singing But I can do more vocally without the guitar TheMetal Mag : 4/ what motivates u in singing, do you feel something you haven’t felt with instruments? • Kane Invasive : I think it’s the purest form of musical expression, and communications when you sing you become the instrument

TheMetal Mag : 5/ have you taken lessons or it came out with time and practice? • Kane Invasive : I had some lessons but mostly time and practice TheMetal Mag : 6/ so the usual question, who is for you the best Metal singer of all time, did you want to become like him or just have few from different styles that you cherish? • Kane Invasive :I love Ozzy As far as overall TheMetal Mag : 7/ what do you think of the Metal scene? the singers are now over singing the highest they can (some with technology) as the guitars playing with tons of notes... • Kane Invasive : I like avenged sevenfold, five finger death punch, sevendust, black label society, avatar, I think those bands are great. I don’t really like bands like Chelsea grin - Love dio

TheMetal Mag : 8/ are you the guy coming with his mic and wait? have you got gears you bring with you? how do you warm up your voice? • Kane Invasive : I use a Shure wireless mic , I use different vocal exercises and technics Usually before a show about 10 minutes before I start my warmup Just work scales and breathing - Try not to drink alcohol before I Sing TheMetal Mag : 9/ are you ‘the leader’ of the band? do you push the others to changes parts to fit your vocals ...get involved in all the management? • Kane Invasive : We write together I change things as I think they fit, but everything changes to benefit the band as a whole.

TheMetal Mag : 10/ what inspire your lyrics? books tv life...is there a way to write for songs? • Kane Invasive : We all manage and promote as much as we can, but we vote on everything Lyrics are inspired by life, a lot if the lyrics are to awaken people to a new way of thinking TheMetal Mag : 11/ the last but least which advice would you give to someone who wants to be a singer? • Kane Invasive : Don’t let others discourage you, keep going

Hellcats The first all girl Metal Rock band from Slovenia , we talked to Sonja Zagorc (drumms) and Sasha(bass guitar). Slovenia(Ljubljana) is a small country which is located between Austria, Italy, Croatia and Hungary.

1.How long have you been together?

Our first gig was in 2006 and we play since then . 2.Who started the bandand when? What was the idea when creating it? Sasha and I formed the band Hellcats. The thing that motivated us and still does is love and dedication to the music in general. But the main thing is that Sasha and I besides that we are sisters; we are also the best friends. We are motivating each other’s from the childhood when we started to perform together, when we were still at music school. We always listen to each other’s and talk about everything what we wanted to do. We are also the authors of all Hellcats songs, while Sasha also manages the band. Besides us there is Katja Mavec on a guitar and Ajda Kova?i? on vocals . 3.Your music can be described between Rock Goddess, Crucified Barbara, Hysteria...who’s your favorite and what made you create a whole female band? There was numerous of thrash, heavy metal and hard rock bands that had a big influence on us. We love all those female bands and many others too (female or male). Our favorite bands are Pantera, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Motley Crue, Vixen, Rock Goddess, AC/DC, Sepultura, Warlock and many more. We grew up with them. They helped us to become who we are today. 4.Have you had line up changes? Did you have boys playing with you already? If so what made those changes? Due to the small size of Slovenian music space it took us a while to find the right female musicians willing to play and create music in such a genre. We never had a guy in the band. We always wanted to be an all female band. From the beginning till now we managed to stay that way. Over the years, when we reached some successes and experienced more, the wishes became bigger, goals became higher and the work became more serious. Today we know what we want and we believe in our work

5.There is only one guitarist isn’t too complicated for live shows? Our guitar player Katja is really good guitarist, that’s why we don’t have problems with live shows. There are many awsome bands with just one guitar in the world . 6.Russia is a big country is it easy to find gigs? Do you have problems in some towns? In the year 2012 we were invited to tour Russia and play five concerts there. In one week we played and travelled from Moscow to Tambov City, we traveled almost 1500 km. As main performers we played at the biggest female bands rock festival in Kaluga titled “Zheleznye devy” or “Iron Girls”. Russians are great organizers and they took care of everything. We really had a great time there. It was experience that we will remember forever. 7.You have a tour in europe can you tell about it? who got you the dates ? isn’t hard to go abroad ? Year 2013 was for Hellcats filled with work and concerts. We recorded our first album in 2 languages (English and Slovene). Slovene version “Divja pot” was released on the 3rd of October in Ljubljana (Slovenia), English one “Warrior princess” on the 28th of November in Milan (Italy), where we went on a tour. Unfortunately we were forced to end the Italian tour earlier because have been robbed in Milan. The thieves have broken into our van, which has been parked on the secured parking lot and have stolen all of our luggage and a lot of equipment. But this is not stopping us. We really believe in Hellcats, and we’ll keep on working on good music, keep on with concerts and everything that makes us fulfilled. We can’t wait for the next tour. 8 .What are your lyrics about, what inspires you? Our music is about love, desires, passion and strength. Our songs are filled with optimism and energy. We have a lot to tell and want that people feel good when they listen to our music. The biggest motivation to write the songs is life itself. Being in Hellcats band is food for our soul. We are happy to have an opportunity to express ourselves on this way. We’re happy if people appreciate what we do. We’re proud if they are inspired by us. 9.Are you giging with other Metal bands? Who are they? Have you got the same bands on the bill? We perform by ourselves or with different bands. It depends what kind of event it is. We play in rock clubs, at bikers meetings, at metal festivals etc. We played with different genres of bands. Usually an organizer of the event chooses the band that we wil play with.

10. Who did the logo and do you have a label? are you self promote?

All the desing work for Hellcats (including logo and the design of the cd) is made by our bass player Sasha Zagorc. We don’t have a label worldwide. We are self promoting for now. We have a label Rock Records, which takes care of the distribution in Slovenia.

11.What’s the response so far from abroad? Have you had many coverage in magazines/ We work a lot on our promotion and we can say that magazines and TV like us, so we are well presented there. Especially here in Slovenia.

12. You have played on tv show, how did it happen? What’s like? Was it fun? you didn’t play too loud?

We played in quite some tv shows. They invited us to play there because they saw us as something special, unique and they liked our music as well. It’s always great to perform live on tv. The last time we were on Slovenian National television and we played our song Steelrider with awsome string quartet. It was great to hear our song supported by string quartet.

1/ who decided of the band’s name what’s the meaning of it? the cover is like a big advert logo on a building pretty unusual who got the idea?: Clive Edwards :The name, think that was me, the fantastic artwork ideas have come from some very talented friends of ours. Danny Peyronel : We started in the dressing room of one of our gigs in England...with the new album finally taking shape, it was obvious we needed a new brand that was us, and no longer a reference to our past...this went on for several days, until Clive came up with the HOUSE of X, which just felt natural, since we loved the idea of keeping the X. That was ours, both as an idea and as a logo focus, since one of our guys created it from scratch.

2/ It ‘s obvious you almost all know each other from a long period as you all been playing in UFO and Thin lizzy, are you all great friends? Clive Edwards : Yes... most of the time J Danny Peyronel : Yes, we are. For me at least, it’s a major part of the reason behind doing this. And yes, we do ALL know each other from a while back, even if, in some cases, like Rocky and I, we had just met once in the past. Laurence and I worked together in TARZEN in the 80’s, Clive has worked with both Laurence and Rocky, and I’ve known Clive the longest, since we were always in bands that were out touring at the same time, since the early 70’s. We just had not played together until now.

3/ With all the experience you had in bands what made you want to create this one? Clive Edwards : For fun and to play the music we love Danny Peyronel : Just the desire to get out there and have fun, the same reason why we started in music. Giving our fans something to enjoy live, once more, is a brilliant way to feel alive!

4/ Are you all working in the music industry? Clive Edwards : Only as musicians Danny Peyronel : Hmmm...I think ‘industry’ is a bit of an ambitious word in this day and age...gone are the days when rock was part of an industry, for better or worse. But yes, you could say we’re all in the world of music, and, frankly, we never really left...though some of us took short breaks!

5/ You got the old Flying V bass n guitars , have you got them from the beginning or just  got new made ones?

Clive Edwards : Not me J Danny Peyronel : Laurence has always had V’s, but I believe Rocky had his V bass made up recently by his guitar guy.

6/ Have you got endorsements ?  Clive Edwards : Yes, DynaVox drum sticks Danny Peyronel : I understand the boys do, but, being only the singer, I have no idea, and certainly no endorsements myself!

7/ Tell us what is your equipment, are you searching to change or just curious of new technology? what do you think of numeric sounds from effects etc... Clive Edwards : I have a collection of drums, Tama, Ludwig, Remo, Pearl... would love a drum endorsement for playing abroad Danny Peyronel : Again, not my department, but I wouldn’t say we’re much into digital effects or other gimmicks...in fact, our whole approach is very root-sy. I would say we’re a hard rock four-piece, very much in the English tradition and with strong rythm & blues (in the proper, original sense of the term, not the current one!)/bluesy roots. We’re most definitely part of the Zeppelin, Free, Bad Company, and of course UFO tradition of English bands. 8/ how did you get your deal with Nigel? who’s gonna release the album and will it be on cd only? Clive Edwards : Nigel was a friend of mine... we are looking at offers and will select a label very soon Danny Peyronel : We didn’t get a deal with Nige, :) He is a very good friend and staunch believer in the band, and we asked him to manage the thing so we could concentrate on doing our thing. Good question about the album...because we ARE looking at a vynil release too, which could be very cool. Of course it’s going to be available in all the current formats for download in all the outlets, as well as on CD.

9/  The first song is called ‘house of lies’ is it related to the band’s name and what the lyrics about? have you been disappointed by the music business or the musicians... Clive Edwards : Yes I think everybody grows tiered of the bullshit that’s in the business... but for every AH there two good guys, all we care about is making our music and performing to people who want to hear it Danny Peyronel : No, not really, it’s not related to the band’s name, just a coincidence. I can’t say, personally, that I’ve been disappointed by the music business, and doubt that any of the other boys have either...at least not more disappointed than the average colleague who is or has been a professional and had a carreer of some length, like us. There are always things that go down in a way that you’d rather they hadn’t, but isn’t that the case in life in general? I can’t personally complain, quite frankly. I’ve had a lot of brilliant moments of satisfaction, like having my songs recorded by people like Dave Gilmour, Meatloaf and even Sade, as well as UFO and others, of course...sharing the stage with most everyone that ever meant anything to me in rock, and, generally, having a brilliant time throughout. I even met my girl thanks to music, and am with her still today.

10/ what inspires you for the lyrics? Clive Edwards : Everything and anything can inspire you J... For Danny its the Romans J Danny Peyronel :  Ah...many things, but I confess to getting a lot of inspiration from TV, and current events. I read a lot and love films too...all of which is a wealth of ideas, of course.

11/who creating the song , are you all working together or each member brings his part?  Clive Edwards : For the most part we work as a team, the song evolves and is nurtured in the HOUSE OF X

Danny Peyronel : We all of us have some idea or other and work on it together. Then it becomes a band song, and that’s how we sign the material.

12/ Some of you have worked for Rock/pop artist and other more into the Heavy Metal world, what’s the difference if any? are the musicians stuck into styles or it’s easy to pass from one style to another? Clive Edwards : Yes your style can limit what you can or can’t play, not to put down pop music down, but in general it takes less flair to play pop well, so can be less of a challenge, but it is very much down to the type of pop and who is playing it.. I know Rocky struggled for a while when he worked with KEITH HARRIS... but he doesn’t like to talk about it J Danny Peyronel : It’s relatively easy for a good professional to switch from one style to another. It’s not so easy to be convincing, however, if you don’t really love what you do.

13/  Why not releasing a new Lionheart album?  Clive Edwards : Over to you Rocky Danny Peyronel : This is one for Rocky.

14/ have you got friendship or relation with bands such Savage? uk is a small country but lots of musicians there does it help? Clive Edwards : You are always meeting bands when you play festivals, and we do make a lot of new friends all the time Danny Peyronel :  I don’t personally know Savage. Unfortunately I’ve never heard of them, sorry. It is great that there are so many musos in England, sure. Britain in general has always been a very musical country and it’s just great in that sense, sure.

15/ Which bands are you listening now still the old one or you get your ears flying around with new bands? if so what do you think of music today? Clive Edwards : for me I really only hear new bands at the gigs we play and there are some very good news ones from all over the world... Rock still Lives J Danny Peyronel : I can’t say I listen to much new stuff these days, other than other bands that we share the stage with. We recently had a support band called NIFE, which I thought was just brilliant. A bit like a modern version of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, with a very talented and charismatic girl playing guitar and singing.

16/ have you got a tour planned and which band will be on bill? are you doing those worldwide festivals?  Clive Edwards : We are not doing an intensive tour as such, we are play a few selected gigs in as many country’s as we can, support bands will vary Danny Peyronel : We’re doing a number of festivals this year, starting with Munich, Germany, on the 3 May, the LESFEST in Scotland later on, then Spain again, and many others. We will go wherever we’re wanted! A full tour is not yet organized, but we hope to have that ready for the second half of the year, to coincide with our new, first studio album, “ONE”.

17/ although you have a wide musical experience is it easy to get in touch with musicians and organisation or it’s again the same history getting back to the beginning? Clive Edwards : We do have many friend but you are only as good as your last gig or record, and that’s the way it should be, gotta walk the walk at the end of the day Danny Peyronel : “Organization”, as you call it, pretty much seems to have gone the way of “industry”, unfortunately...most of the agents left, for instance, are used to just waiting for people/promoters to tele

phone them, and don’t expect to have to do any actual work, like going out there and ‘selling’ a band, like they used to in the ‘golden age’ of the 70’s and 80’s. Then there are a lot of well-meaning but basically clue-less amateurs, who, because of the internet, believe they can work in different aspects of our world, such as promoting, etc., and they cannot. Getting in touch with musicians is, if anything, easier thanks to the net, of course. And no, I would have to say that it’s nothing like when we started out. The net seems to have made our little careers and names a lot bigger than perhaps they should be. :) :) :)

18/ Tell us your experience with social media, do you use it and do you find it helpful? Clive Edwards : there are more bands than in the 80’s it looks more like a pin in a field? Yes it’s great, we all got back in touch with each other via SM (that’s SM not S&M... I think) Danny Peyronel : Sure we use social media, why not? Are there more bands than in the 80’s? If there are, it doesn’t really make much difference...it’s not the quantity but the quality.

19/ Do you have a mixing studio on your own? have you got engineering skills? Clive Edwards : We all have tons of stuff we can use at home or in rehearsals to record, it’s so available and cheap now it would be rude not to... J Danny Peyronel : Not really. We do, of course, have producing skills, having produced our own and other artists records in the past...but maybe because of that very reason, we prefer to have an actual producer, our good friend and ‘honorary fifth member’ Steve Mann.

20/ when looking back seeing those bands like Def leppard and else still big rock stars , do you have regrets or you see those experiences as a great life? Clive Edwards : WE have all had a very full and rewarding time playing music with great musicians, you can’t have regrets, good luck to anyone who can still kick ass, it’s all life’s tapestry as they say Danny Peyronel : Again personally, I can’t say I have any feelings of the nature you suggest...I’ve had (and still have!) a really great life, a brilliant family life, and an excellent present life, and I cannot in all fairness wish for more...the future is all to create.   Clive Edwards All the best, Danny Peyronel Thanks and the best possible wishes to you and your readers!

1/Dark Angel made a one live show in 2005 at wacken festival I guess then never came back until now. Did you have acknowledgement at this time? No DA contacted me in 2000 to hit me up on a reunion and play some shows. I wanted to but just wasn’t right yet. Now that all the kids are grown I thought it would be time. 2/WE the fans were very exited to hear you were getting the band together then day after day the ‘biz’ disappointment occured with each member saying they wouldn’t participate .This made a complete mess for us .What happened? Really good Question. Those of you who were following me will state that what I am telling you is all true. I had noticed a post on facebook from a band called Violent Omen they did a cover of We Have Arrived. I got mad at a post that said something like ‘Hey It just happen I know the words to that if you ever need a singer’ Well mike the bass player made a similar comment saying I know the bass lines. Even Ron had said something. I remember telling him he had to come up and do some songs if it ever happened. He just said no. anyway I hit mike up asking if was interested he said yes. Well I had been talking to jim for some time we both were talking to Oli from The Keep It True. Festival. Jim had went to it the year before with another band. (Ruthless) (Quick plug).Jim had told me he had a great time and that I would too if I did it .He was going to come with me but for some reason he ended up backing out. He told me it was due to work .Now I gave Eric a call and asked him if he was interested he said yes. I had tried to get a hold of Gene but he did not return my calls or messages .so I found another drummer Sasha Horn. We were short a guitar player seeing how Jim had said no. so Mike got his buddy Justin He is a good guitar player and would have filled the spot nicely. Now at this point all are on board Mike getting his friend, Eric doing interviews with me sounds good right? Nope, Then comes in Gene. Gene feels He is Dark Angel and how could anyone do a reunion without him .Besides Dark Angel is Legendary. And if Don did a reunion without Gene would that mean Gene wasn’t legionary? Of course not But Gene still would not allow Don to run the show just as it was 25 years ago. When I talked with Gene he had nothing but excuses why we couldn’t and shouldn’t do a reunion. But he kept saying he was interested. Now I know why He ran To Jim the first chance he got and said He was doing a reunion and it should be with Ron not Don. It is funny how Gene said he would like all DA members to be involved. And yet I Don Doty Have never been asked to join in there reindeer Games. But I did invite everyone of them. Including Ron. That is the way it should be done .So Gene asked the guys do you want to go with Don who just showed up or with Him who has been doing this for 25 years .of course the guys said Gene but that does not take away the fact that Mike and Eric had already told me yes. Or that they ended up going with him. Bottom line Gene feels he has won. Good for him at the expense of the fans. Now he is just hoping all will forget what they did and how they slandered my name for no reason. You see I’m guessing here but Gene was real concerned when I told him I had written some new songs if I came back the fans would want to hear them. But gene already has songs for an album from the last time they were together. They just didn’t make it to vinyl. And they wouldn’t again if I was in the picture. I’m just guessing here it made sense to me. 3/Today with social network people talk about everything without waiting to get the final decision, do you regret all these? I believe it is ok too talk to people there are some things that should be kept back as well. I did nothing wrong. I knew if Gene stepped in I was out same as it was back in the day. Besides I ran everything I did by the guys first and they were all in agree with me. I booked one show verbally off of Jim’s recommendation you know Mike and Eric were on board. Gene said no Ran to Jim and Jim was the first to attack. Wow talk about Back stabbing. Long time childhood friend my ass. Well he knows what his dad would call him same as I would. But either way it is Jim and Gene to the end. And it would have been the end If I would have stayed . That is the reason I said my peace and backed out. I did not want to tear down the DA name as they were doing. Causing all the drama. I figured if they want me out that bad and are willing to back Gene they could have it. No sweat off my Back. Then Jim choose to

challenge me that any ex-members could get there own band together.. is what he said I think .so I did just that started Eliminate! 4/without any comparison, Neil Turbin never got back with Anthrax and so with many first singers of Metal bands (iron maiden, judas priest,...) only Exodus played shows with paul baloff and ended up recording show selling dvd n cds...Why do you think these happens to the first singer? Easy if someone sees that the singer is getting more attention they will stop it. Gene knows since day one I have been the front man I have no problem talking to people or doing interview. That makes him upset he wants to be the only one to talk for DA. You can not have two Chief’s of a tribe. 5/In every interviews you stated you lef the band to raise your family was it a tough choice? do you regret it? did you sing during those years ? have you participated to any bands at all? Yes it was tough. I did what was right . If you were around back then you would noticed that I started pulling away. I had just got a really good job at McDonald Douglas Aircraft. I did not go on one little tour because of it. And also when we played Texas I had left work going straight to airport to make the show but the plane got held up so when we landed my ride was waiting we went straight to show I walked in just as they were finishing. I went on to do the next couple of shows no problems but had to fly back just in time for work and I just made that. Now singing I never stooped I did do a little bit of theater And I picked up some DJ jobs I run sound for some friends I still run Sound for my Daughters competitions . But no other bands I really thought I was going to be in one band my entire career. Guess I was wrong. 6/Have you kept in touch with the bizness or musicians? Gene stated long time ago he couldn’t get a hand on you and now don’t want to play with you... Jim and I stayed in contact I also talked to Eric if they wanted me they could find me. Just Like in 2ooo. Gene did not want me back. He is still holding a grudge for something. I told him dude that was 25 years ago let it go we are different people now .I thought we were mature enough to do something for the fans. Seems they just needed me to get things started so it would not fail like 2002 and 2005. I still don’t get how Ron had said he could never sing again and now he is singing. Must have been a lie.I also remember something about faith changing wonder what happened there. Is nobody going to ask these questions? Will anybody get an answer is more like it. 7/Have you wrote 1000 songs?what are they all about? No I have not wrote 1000 songs I have a hand full at best. Not that many. 8/How did you find the musicians for your new band and why this name? have you got a good friendship in the band? You know I am at the right place at the right time. The guys in the band are like brothers to me already. They are all excellent players. And it is like it should be we talk every day.. 9/Are you playing guitar or any instrument? like Jason newsted wrote his own album.... No I just sing I have all the faith in my guys to do what they do. They are the best at playing our songs. 10/ are there any new bands you’re following, promoting, like? Not really but there are a lot of good bands out there. I would encourage everyone to pick up a magazine or paper maybe get on the web and check out something new. There is a lot of talent out here and you all should be a part of it. 11/what’s your view on the music scene today?

I think it is at a point that I would have never dreamed of. It grown to measures beyond my expectation. And it only keeps on growing. I think that is Awesome. I can’t wait to get out there and Kick some Ass. 12/Blabbermouth is up to date with everything in Metal did you send them news? why your ‘come back” seems so easy although the troubles with your old mate? No I did not send them anything I just give out the facts. I have told everyone from the time they asked me. I will come back if the fans want me back. They have been there for me and if I can I will be there for them. As you can see there have been some road blocks, But fans can still be heard so I am not going to give up I will Eliminate anything in our path. 13/ what the music of your new band will sound like? have you got your own studio or recording the old way? We will be playing old school Thrash. Stuff that is just good to listen to. 14/ are you in contact with label or you will release the album on your own? I have talked with some I am always looking for what is best for the band. So if you read this and you know somebody. Tell them to hit me up. LOL You would be surprised how much power the people have. They have shown me what they can do and they are awesome. 15/ With all the things going fast now , is the band will go on tour and make dvds etc... We are still in talks about that. I will have to let you know. 16/ would you recomend people to get a good job and familly then get the band on second position? I think everybody is different. They should make the right choice for them whatever it is. It will work out. 17/would you say love drove you ? Metallica members never stopped and raised familly while gaining notority and success what’s your point of view? Don’t get me wrong It can be done there are a lot of people that do it. You need to remember This D is Dark Angel back in the 80s I had a good job that paid well. Or I had a band that didn’t what one would you pick. I like to eat and drive. We were not making enough to pay for the studio we were practicing in ,if it’d have changed who knows what would have happened but as it stood I really had no choice. 18/if you could return back would you change a thing? or do it another way? Well Ya know there would be a lot of changes. But I would have to say that things always work them self out. Thanks for the interview. To all the Metal-Heads Thanks for your support. \m/ Rage-On \m/

1/ When did you start the band and who decided the name? Reason was started early in 2009, and really happened by accident!.. but everything went very well, so it grew and grew.. I think it was me who had the idea for the band name. Reason seemed perfect –simple & it can be taken as many meanings, which matches our music somehow! 2/what was the idea ? beeing a solo guitarist artist like satriani ,Lonero...and else? I never wanted to be a solo guitarist, although I love those guys, and their style of instrumental music is an influence. It is all about songs for me, and very often the guitar playing and solos in rock music rise or fall on the quality of the song and other instrumentation.. once you have a great song, the door is open for great guitar! 3/when did u start playing guitar? did u attend guitar school? I started playing when I was about 14, but didn`t really seriously work at it until I was around 17.. I got into my first `proper` band quite quickly, and picked up a lot from other guitarists that I met that way. But I never attended guitar school at all.. that seemed to academic when I was young. I just listened to rock, metal & prog music so intensely.. I think that got into my brain somehow, and I taught myself quite intuitively.. I am still a lazy player now.. don`t practice much! 4/have u first tried to sing? I`ve never tried to sing, but I do backing vocals, and often sing a demo vocal onto new songs when we are recording.. which sounds terrible!! 5/how did you get your musicians ? how long u been together? Reason`s vocalist Paul Mace grew up in the same street as me, and we were in our first band together when we were teenagers!. Very strange that we now have this band after all these years!.. we had an initial band line-up from 2009, but some changes happened.. Graham Corbett our bassist joined us in 2010, Gil Hird our keyboard player in 2011, and finally our drummer John Townsend joined about a year ago. The musical ability of this band is truly great, and is certainly the most capable unit that I`ve ever been involved with.. always a pleasure to play with these guys! 6/what do you call your music? ‘progressive rock’

I think the music takes inspiration from progressive rock & metal, melodic rock, traditional metal and hard rock & maybe some other genres too. There is quite a variety in the songs if you study them. We get called progressive by the music media, and I think that this is due to the crossover style that we have, and the fact that we use keyboards, which people associate with progressive music. We have all played in bands before, of varying styles. Personally I was in a few bands which had minor success, mainly playing melodic metal, but I always leaned towards the progressive style, and Reason has been the band in which I brought that to the fore. 8/are u self promoting your album? We are currently represented by Skyfire PR, who are promoting our album `The Darkest Star`, and some very good reviews are being written by the rock & metal media right now, and this is very pleasing. There are also plans to release an EP fairly soon which will contain some new material. 9/who are your fav artists inspiration? I have always been a huge fan of Rush, because of their ability to change style & still create quality & very individual music. Following the same line of thought, Dream Theater are also a favourite. But I have always been a fan of the great metal & hard rock bands too.. Priest, Maiden, and anything that Ronnie James Dio sang on.. but also melodic rock. Overall, bands with great songs! I also listen to other music genres, and there`s some really cool stuff around that can also be an influence. 10/ tell us your equipment... I keep a fairly simple set-up, and really don`t use too many effects or tricks. I like to keep that old-school rawness in the guitar sound, so currently I am using a straight Marshall 50W Vintage Modern amp, with 2 original JCM800 4x12 speaker cabs. Boss digital effects for distortion, delay/reverb, modulation & wah. Guitars have mainly been Ibanez models.. I have used an Ibanez JEM77 for the vast majority of our recorded work, and an Ibanez RG arch-top for my main live guitar. I have recently bought a Schecter C1 special edition with Seymour Duncan pickups, which is also very nice & slightly different.

7/have you played in bands before?

1 are you hawaiian born or raised? No, I am a blondish mixture of many awesome lineages. However, I was born and raised in Hawaii, and I am very proud of that. So, I’m like a white Cherokee Indian, lol! 2 music there is more roots culture, how did you discover metal? is there any scene over there? I discovered Metal through my guitarist Joe. He blasted the shit out of my ears when we began dating. That quickly grew to a, “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em kind of’ thang! Before I knew it, I was playing bass in his old band Ep1TapH. I was bangin’ my head with the best of ‘em. A huge thrill for me was getting to see Dime Bag play in Honolulu with Pantera! What a performance! Another brilliant show that molded me molten, was Testament live! Now that there was no going back! I was on my way to full blown Metal mode! But, it wasn’t until my brush with death, a year into my sickness, that I became my true metal self. Let’s just say when you stare death in the face three times back to back, there ain’t a lot out there that scares me anymore, except… Dentist! Yet, I still had not sung.My voice lay dormant like a caterpillar in its chrysalis about to transform! It was a very clear night in June 2013. A star glistened on the skyline as I was driving. I thought of Joe asking me to sing on a song the other day. I felt as though the star were saying something. It was really weird. But, I like weird. I said hey star WTF R U trying to tell me? It twinkled and said, get off your ass bitch and sing like the sky is falling.!!!!!!! Well, I did the very next day. Hence the beginning of a new horizon in sonic goodness! ElipTic was born from the ashes of DEATH! There is unfortunately almost no metal in Hawaii. Though there are little pockets, and they are growing. We intend to change that,he,he! Into big pockets! 3 you state you started to sing after you almost died, can you tell us what happened and what you did before? Yes, I was a commercial artist and Glass sculptor. I have made a living at my art since the age of twelve. I create art from anything I work with. Kinda” like magic. In 2009 I went into get a cavity filled. A mistake was made, and this began the battle for my very life. My battle continues every day. I can ot comment much because we are in litigation. The anger that ensued from doctors, NDE, lawyers and lawsuits developed a cynicism. The pain of the loss of abilities and my once healthy body, grew into a monster of sadness. This anger and loss, was channeled into one of the secrets behind my rage, and super natural voice. I transfer my aggression into sonic art. Painting a picture with tone and emotion. Because, when you have reached the cusp of life…you value its simplicity even more. Music has become me, I have become it. It has become ElipTic! With the help of four other genius musicians, of course! 4 you have two drummers what’s the reasons for ? not usual, isn’t difficult for gigs ? must weight heavy n take space.. It was not planned either. We met through the web of destiny (internet) surfing you tube Joe and I found an

amazing girl on drums. She wasn’t just sitting and hitting symbols, she was circling her kit hitting vigorously and precise. We realized this was a great start to the search for the remaining members of ElipTic, to create a whole real band from just a dream. When we met Kristin in person there were two massive drum sets in the living room. Basically taking up the entire floor and dwelling area! Right on, I thought, this looks like my house.

Not much furniture, but, wall to wall amps and speakers and guitars, ect. So, anyway, Kristin Johnson, ElipTic female drummer extraordinaire, says,” hey, my boyfriend, Jeremy fucking digz your guys shit! He plays a bit different, as far as fast and thrash! But, when we play together, the volcano blows!” I said let’s see your stuff, and the rest is history! We had to have them both. Kristin gives a very primal female artistic rhythm. Jeremy Smith, is like” Animal” from the Muppets when you let him loose! There’s no stopping him. Sometimes he does exactly what Animal does…Freaks out! Solo style, like the world is coming to an end! Than he looks up and we’re all just frozen staring at his solo performance with drop mouths. Now, if we can just put a spike collar on him! Down Boy! Go Animal! Let me not forget our Bassist Erik Avery, like I said before, he is like an incarnation of Jimmy Hendrix! He has mad skills and plays with cosmic petals! He is the massive pumping rhythm that keeps us all tied together, and beating them ears with bass!

“is it difficult for gigs ? must weight heavy n take space” Yes, smaller venue gigs can suck shit. We are meant for the big venues! Space consumption of two set is always an issue at smaller shows. Bastards don’t know what they’re missing. Some of the best bands of our time had two drummers. 5 what’s the meaning of the eye Well, I love the eye as a symbol of wisdom. It is also the window to the soul. Something ElipTic values…. the soul. 6 how did you get this band’s name It was weird, it just came to us, and it felt like it was supposed to be. Then I looked up the meaning, and it meant the ElipTical Circle around the Earth, which was cool, but, it also meant Extreme oral Expression, and that’s what I’m all about BaBy! Put me in the mix with other likeminded artist and a new era in music is born! 7/ what are the bands that inspires you I, or the band… I keep getting asked questions from a one person point of view. I am representing five people. Joe Rideout, cofounder of ElipTic, rhythm guitarist and song composer. Erik Avery, Bass, and bad ass petals! Kristin Johnson and Jeremy Smith, Tantum Drummers of various styles. Yes, me, myself and I! Crazy vocalist lyricist, and antagonist, ha,ha, Malia Rideout at your service…. Then bands that I can say inspire every member of ElipTic vary so much. But I will name a few…Pantera, Slayer, Death Angel, Testament, Corrosion of Conformity, BLS, Otep, Arch Enemy, Korn, Alice in Chains, Mordred, OverKill, Rage Against the Machine, Mastadon, Tool, Anthrax Black Sabbath, Rush, and many more!. 8 you found a manager in sweden the other side of the world how did it happen? how are you gonna deal with it and do you think it’s what should be these days? Oh Fuck yeah! Concept Sweden Management Rox! Sweden is a mega of Metal! You might even call it the birth place! Fredrik Ahlwin is a sincere manager, who is rocking all his many companies to the top! ElipTic has now joined forces, and the takeover of the Metal Music Industry has begun! It is Sweden that I will claim as my Kingdome, as I lay in wait on my Volcanic Fortress! Ha, ha, I know, I have quite the imagination! It makes for great Heavy Metal! So watch out world, we are about to be unleashed! To bring a new era in Heavy, ElipTic, to rise up within us the fight, to become better people, more truthful, and fear no evil! 9/you are married to your guitarist does that create troubles with other musicians? do you argue for compositions Now that’s interesting…..we have just begun this new dance in the music world. However we ran my Glass Company and Art Company for many years successfully, together. Yet, this music business is very different. I have to reveille my soul to sing like I do. This is tricky at times. Everything is morphing so fast into performance, video, and now touring. It is something we will have to delicately figure out along the way. Because, it is a very hard thing to have your lover being gocked at, either way you look at it. But, I have been with only him, faithfully, since I was seventeen. So, we have made it through many a bump in the road. I think we’ll do fine. 10 are you fishin for support or the net does it for you The net has been very good to us. It is amazing what tenacity and technology can do when used well. 11 have you got friends in known us bands Some, my guitarist is friends with most of Death Angel, and was in Next of Kin. I am friends with Matt Denny, Mordred’s manager, and consider Mordred friends. They have just begun touring again! So fucking awesome! Joe, Jeremy Erik and I I have loved their music for a very long time. There UK tours sold out so fast, because, they are so authentically bad ass!

12 ever crossed the se to play in the continent Well I have literally only been singing for under a year. However, a tour is already being organized and we await the instructions soon! Please keep posted to our Face Book @, www.facebook.com/elipticband We formed and created ElipTic just under six months ago. Out management is now planning our tour to Europe Sweden and U.S. Not necessarily in that order. Ha! 13have you released a c or its a near futur? We are working on our album now. The album will be released Early August, pending. Also, we are working on a video right now, with some amazing footage of Hawaii. You’ve never seen Metal like Molten Metal! We will be releasing that soon, as well as live performance footage of ElipTic. So you sceptics can see,We are who we say we are…. I am who I say I am, and I don’t give a damn, that I’m a women! I can make even the Devil himself, shake in his boots! 14 are you playing the same songs live or you keep on creating We are always creating. Yes, we play the eight songs we have in our live shows. We are working on about three new ones now for the next album. which songs do you cover live Slayer; Seasons in the Abyss, Pantera Walk, I’m Broken, This Love; Tool, Sober; and Korn, Blind. Those are the ones we’re doing as far as covers. But, I do prefer to do my originals. 15 is there a singer that have influenced you the most or you wanted to sound like I actually like a very wide variety of singers, from Stevie Nicks, to Pat Benatar. Then you can really just keep going, Janis Joplin, Grace Slikk, Blondie’s Debora Harry…I mean I could go on and on, but I also love Phil from Pantera, he really sox it to ya! I dig Chuck Billy from Testament, the list goes on. If you want to Join ElipTic please come check out our Face Book, \M/

Thanx!

1when did you start playing the bass? One year after that I discovered Raven and it was something unreal! Raven is still my favourite band and John Gallagher my favourite bass player. How predictable, right?:) Now I am inspired by Roger Patterson ( Atheist) and Doug Kaiser (Watchtower) 2 you’re a big Raven ‘s fan when did you discover the band and what made u become a fan? I’ve already mentioned that, but yeah, Raven is my passion. I’m collectiong all their stuff all this years. Their show, energy, charisma - because of these things I’m totally and crazy in love with Raven band. I’ve also have the tattoo on my arm with their logo. And soon it’s gonna be one more - the portrait of John. Thanx to them I found a lot of friends all over the world. 3 Live you’re acting like crazy like Raven’s mate I guess he influenced you. But musically it’s old speed Thrash Yeah, mostly I am inspired by Raven and Watchtower and they act like total crazy assholes on stage! Loving that. When you are on stage you should act like its the last fucking day of your life. 4 The logo as the cover are excellent who did it? have u given the idea or it just came out from the designer? All the ideas about design is mine, exept of logo. The author of it is our vox/guitars Floods. Cover art is the work of friend of mine from Russia. He is really talented guy, I adore his paintings. 5.Is your girlfriend managing the band or she’s just the biggest fan? No, actually the manager is me, but my girlfriend is my biggest support and just best adviser. She is helping us with a lot of things and she really made our life easier. I am very grateful her for that. 6 How did you get Josh Christian to produce the album? Well, I talk to him a lot on Facebook. It was 2011 when i sent him our cd Lunatics Revenge, and he really liked it. He is a great guy, he always gives me good advises about the band. So, when we started to work on a new album, he offered to be a producer. We were shocked!

7 how come those legends of Thrash have played and sing on your album? I’m a huge fan of all that bands, so I’m really glad that I Have opportunity to talk to guys. We communicate a lot on Facebook. Especially with Andrea and Josh. With the beginning working on 3 album I asked them for help and no one said “no”. They understand that it’s really important for me. 8 you are a three piece band do you think it’s enough or you had another guitarist for the album? Yeah, we dont need another guitarist, Floods can totally make it by himself. There were times we thought about it, but we ve decieded to stay trio. 9 you seem to be the main man of the band, did you start it, do you compose most of the creations? No, the band is the author. We create our songs all together. But as you already mentioned, I’m the leader and back to 2009, its me who created Violent Omen. 10 how do you find those bass guitars with tremolo? what do u like with them and have you got a special rig? When I first saw tremolo on John’s rad Explorer at that exact second i thought I want it too! And after some time fans of Raven gave it to me as a present. And after that Eric Heaven invited me to join his community Bass Tremolo Fanatics with all that famous users of tremolo. 11 you jump on the bass are you doing it gently...aren’t u afraid to damage it Sometimes when you are on stage you can’t control yourself, it’s pure energy and madness out there, it’s like you wanna crush something. Well, lets say that there were worse things, but my baby can stand almost anything. 12 do you play guittar , do you own one? No, I don’t. Couple of years ago I tried to start playing guitar, but it’s not for me. Big guitars for big boys ( I mean bass of course haha) 13 do you find gigs easily , you played with artillery man you know the best or you have a great agent? From time to time. It’s second time we play with Artillery this year. These guys kick ass! And no, we don’t have agent, all job about gigs is mine. I always try to do my best for the band.

1/what was the idea when creating the band and did it changed with time? We always wanted to have fun by doing all this music stuff and this fun hasn´t lessened with time. The band just became more and more “serious” and an very important part of all of our lifes. 2/ you’re mixing soft and heavy guitars , do you see your songs like a life or it’s another way to create? In our opinion, every song should have his own personality and should be unique, so we try to difference a song in itself in order to not become a four-minute-song with just one mood or feeling in it. In our songs the soft guitars need the heavy guitars and the other way round. 3/ you are two singers, was it normal choice or it happened naturally? Yeah that was our intention. We always wanted to have second vocals, so that we have the possibility to write polyphonic melodies or do a few vocal-changes in some particular parts 4/you have computer on stage are you using samples? Currently, we use it just to run the keyboard, provide it with sounds (yes, with samples) and to play our intro, but we don´t use any other background-samples while playing yet. 5/you seem to gig a lot , have you got an agent? Yes, we have got our Manager/Booker Max Winter from the booking agency Frostbite Booking. 6/Where is your biggest fan base if you can tell?

We would say either in Graz, well, because it is our hometown or in Vienna because we have had most of our shows there. 7/have you released a cd yet? No, but in about one month our first EP will be released. 8/ what are your songs about and who create in the band?

The guitarists, bass player or keyboard player bring an idea to our rehearsals and we make a song out of it. Mainly, the lyrics are about socio-critical themes and just thoughts about the mankind and the world. 9/which bands made you want to play music? A big influence for the band (especially the guitarists) is Billy Talent.

More influences are: A Day To Remember, Papa Roach, Our Last Night, Rise Against 10/why this long bands name??? Well, it took so much time for us to find our band name and now we are just happy to have one which every band member likes. 11/must be tough when you are a big band? more hands to get things out the van? In a big band there are cons and pros. It´s harder to find time to rehearse and discussion about everything need always much time because there are so many opinions. On the other hand, financial things are easier with in our case six persons who can pay together and also anybody has connections to other bands or manager or something and the more band members the more connections. Of course it´s better to write songs with more heads thinking about the next part or a new riff, as well. 12/apart from the net what is your exposure? magazines, radio... Yes we have already had an radio interview and one of our songs played and we had a little report in a magazine. More coming soon.. 13/ Are u still students or have daily jobs? Three of us are still pupils, they have next year their final exams. Two more have got daily jobs and the last one is doing his civil service at the moment. 14/ tell us what equipments do you use and why you chose those? Guitars: Shecter Black Jack + Blackstar HT Club 50 + Effectpedal Epiphone Les Paul Custom + Peavy Valve King Combo Bass: Hohner + Fender Rumble Combo Drums: Pearl Master Keyboard: Axiom 61 + Focusrite Saffire + Komplete 9 from Native Instruments We use all this stuff either because we like it or, it´s sad but, can´t afford what we really want to have.
