MIALE TEAM ABOUT TOWN The Miale Team Raises $10,000 in Support of Connecticut Foodshare at Hockey Night On February 11th, we kicked off our first client event of 2022 at the XL Center to watch the Hartford Wolf Pack play the Springfield Thunderbirds! Our team had a blast cheering on Hartford's AHL team along with 1,200 of our clients! In continued partnership with Connecticut Foodshare, we held a fundraiser to raise donations to end food insecurity in our communities. We raised over $10,000 and provided 20,000 meals for those in need! We successfully beat 2021's fundraising goal, raising the same amount as last year in ONE NIGHT! We could not have done it without the support of our clients, team members, and sponsors. The Miale Team’s mission is to empower people, the people we serve and those we serve with. As a community focused organization, we will continue to partner with Connecticut Foodshare to raise donations and combat food insecurity in Connecticut.

Client Spotlight: Courtney & Brian Making a Home on the Open Road Have you dreamed of selling your home and traveling across the country? Courtney and Brian made that dream a reality when they downsized from their 1,600 sq ft home to a 330 sq ft RV. Courtney and Brian’s journey began shortly after the birth of their third child when they found themselves spending more time together. “We were blessed to have several weeks off as a family. After returning to work, we quickly realized how much we valued our time together. We then decided to make it a priority to put family first,” said Courtney. After two years of planning, they took the leap. They sold 95% of their possessions, moved into an RV they affectionately named Frida, and decided to travel across the country with their children. But first, they needed an expert to help sell their house in Connecticut. They reached out to Chris Grant, a family friend and trusted real estate advisor who helped them purchase their home. “Chris’ expertise and experience dealing with multiple offers allowed us to choose the offer that made the most sense of us and our timeline. Chris and his team made [the process] seamless and straightforward,” said Courtney. Chris was thrilled to be a part of the exciting new chapter for Courtney and Brian: “I am so very honored to know such an incredible, loving, fun, adventurous, inspiring couple like Brian and Courtney.

When they told me they were going to sell their home, pack their four wonderful young boys and dog into an RV, and travel the country…I was truly amazed. To hear about the journey their family was about to embark on was nothing short of inspiring. Their plans of touring the country, exploring, working from the road, and homeschooling while truly living life is something that most only dream about… I know that their wonderful boys will remember this part of their journey for the rest of their lives,” said Chris. Chris was determined to find the perfect buyer to ensure Courtney, Brian, and their family could embark as soon as possible: “This made selling their home so important to make sure they sold it in a time that worked for them and at a price that would give them the greatest return. It was perfect as we were able to secure a young buyer that

Client Spotlight: Courtney & Brian Making a Home on the Open Road For the last year and a half, Courtney, Brian, and their children have enjoyed the freedom of their nomadic lifestyle, exploring National Parks around the country, from the Everglades in Florida to Canyonlands in Utah. The experience of traveling and “roadschooling” has offered countless opportunities to enrich their children’s learning through real life experiences and hands-on lessons. Courtney and Brian plan to settle and purchase another home in the future and intend to use their travels to find the perfect location – they even consider their children’s opinions in the decision. For now, they are content making their home on the road and exploring the country from coast to coast. For Courtney and Brian, home is more than a physical space: it’s living life and creating lasting memories with your family. “For us, home means where we all together and experiencing life. You only get 18 summers with your kids, and we plan to make the most of them.” We wish Courtney, Brian, and their family the best of luck and safe travels!
