The Montclarion | Ethan Fria
In a town council meeting, the mayor took full responsibility for the Republican postcard that offended many people on and off campus. Ethan Fria Assistant News Editor
After a Republican flyer was sent to Little Falls residents about three weeks ago, the relationship between the Montclair student body and the governing body of Little Falls has been rocky at best. The students proclaimed that
the article was not only a manifesto discouraging student voting but was a sexist and racist piece of literature. This issue has received a lot of press. A simple Google search will show several articles and blog posts regarding the matter. Northnewj Mayor Continued on Page 3
Students came together outside of the Student Center to show their opinions on the long-existing struggle between Israel and Palestine. Jack Smith IV Staff Writer

LGBT Center Hosts Transgender Day of Remembrance
265 outlines lined paths all around campus to show the extent of the amount of people that are killed each year due to LGBT hate crimes. Monika Bujas Opinion Editor
On Tuesday, Nov. 20, many students noticed chalk outlines of bodies drawn around the Stu-
dent Center and many of the dorms, striking some curiosity. This is the first year that Montclair State has celebrated the Trans-
gender Day of Remembrance. This was the event’s 14th annual year, but a first for the campus. This international event has
people from around the world hosting events such as candlelight vigils, film screenings, marches, art shows and readings in order to me-
morialize those 265 people who died since Nov. 11 last year due to transphobia.
