JOURNEYS OF DEVELOPMENT Enriching conservation trips for schools and groups
Your Journey One World Adventures create tailor-made itineraries for groups to work on sustainable conservation and community projects worldwide. We design trips which fit your goals and objectives, whether it is educational or to make a difference.
PLANNING
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
A lot of planning is involved in your adventure and it is important that you and your group are fully prepared.
Our overseas adventures offer fantastic potential for personal development, not only whilst away, but throughout the planning and preparation for your adventure as well.
We provide comprehensive information to help you prepare for all aspects of your adventure through a series of Adventure Packs and interactive workshops, which cover all the relevant topics directly related to your adventure.
“I learnt that being in a team provides a great sense of achievement and support. I have learnt to value my own solitude, home comforts and privileges and above anything else, my family. Ella Uganda Adventurer

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
ADVENTURE CHRONICLE
Groups are encouraged to participate in fundraising activities to raise the money needed for your adventure. You will have a set target to cover your adventure costs.
Your group will have the opportunity to develop an Adventure Chronicle which documents your journey from fundraising until after you return. It provides an opportunity to develop vocational skills such as event management and marketing. You will receive guidance on how to successfully complete the chronicle as a group.
100% of additional funds
raised above this target will be used to further enhance the conservation and community projects in your itinerary.

Our Projects One World Adventures works with organisations on established and meaningful conservation and research projects. By supporting these existing projects, you will experience effective conservation in action, and learn about sustainable solutions. Our community projects are focussed on aiding development and supporting the conservation efforts in the area.
Conservation, Research & Community Projects Research Projects
Direct Conservation
Human vs Wildlife Conflicts
Research projects are hugely varied and range from scuba diving marine population surveys to setting wildlife camera traps. By assisting conservation researchers on the ground you will help develop future conservation strategies and track changes of animals and their environments.
Direct conservation projects work in areas which have been negatively affected by human activity and aim to regenerate habitats lost through human activity. They are also involved with the direct protection of endangered species which are continually threatened by human actions.
A big challenge for conservation looks at how growing populations are increasing the occurrence of human vs wildlife conflicts. This is a global issue, but we work closely with communities and charitable organisations to look at how these problems can be overcome and prevented.
“Amazing experiences – tracking cheetah and leopard, seeing amazin sand dunes in the desert sea. A real privilege to share this experience

Enrichment Projects
Sustainable Development
Enrichment projects take you directly to the heart of communities which lack funds and resources to restore and renovate much needed buildings. Many of these projects take place in schools and work directly with the people in villages to help develop their facilities.
We support responsible development and encourage cultural interaction. At no time do we put groups in environments which may take away potential employment from the community. In all of our projects there is a clear and lasting benefit to conservation and community in the area.
