All work is to comply with the NZ Building Code The contractor is to check all dimensions on site in relation to the existing building before starting work Welds: All lines of contact are to be MIG welded, 5mm fillet weld unless shown otherwise. SHS girts are to be butt welded continous Holes for bolts are to be 2mm larger than the bolt diameter Surface finish: All new structural steel work is to be hot dip galvanised to 900gms/m2 or hot zinc sprayed to a thickness of 150microns. All welds and all existing structural steelwork that is not galavanised are to be coated with Resene Alumastic High Build Epoxy(RA402)to a DFT of 125 microns, or an approved alternative to be discussed and agreed with the Engineer. Steel grade shall be grade 350 for SHS, otherwise grade 300 Bolts shall be grade 4.6 galvanised
