The Town of Vegreville is happy to present the following local businesses with the Economic Development Downtown Revitalization Incentive for 2020:

• Buckskin Landscaping Services

• JJ’s Pharmacy

• Pizza Hut

• Rge Rd Spin Inc

• The Garage

• Young Farts RV Parts

After a year of unexpected challenges brought by COVID-19, Mayor Tim MacPhee and Chair Councillor Taneen Rudyk were happy to present these cheques to entrepreneurs before the close of the year.

Each business met the criteria of the Incentive and was awarded accordingly: in fact, their cumulative upgrades came to approximately $400,000! Congratulations from Vegreville Town Council, Economic Development Advisory Board, and Administration for this substantial investment in business and in the community!

As a reminder the Downtown Revitalization Incentive is intended to encourage business owners to invest in the façade and interior of their location, owned or leased, to receive up to a maximum of $2,000 on a $10,000 verified expenditures. Once C1 district applicants have been exhausted, other development districts can be considered outside the downtown core.

The Vegreville Economic Development Advisory Board provides ongoing support to the promotion, expansion, and enhancement of existing as well as new business owners and Vegreville Town Council.

2020 has been challenging in so many ways, council is appreciative of each business: your input is valued, your presence is appreciated, and your insight is essential to Vegreville’s continual growth as a community. To a healthy and prosperous 2021!
