Vegreville 4-H Multi Club Off to a Good Start

Corbin Lockhart and Rebecca Allan - Club Reporters

This year has been busy. We started off by choosing the club positions. The General Leader is Connie Steinwand and members of the executive are as follows: President Allyson, Vice President Kaylynn, Secretary Piper, Treasurer Abby, Club Reporters Rebecca and Corbin, Club Historians Hunter and Tyler, and District representatives Caiden, Max, Hudson and Amelia.

This year’s projects are: foods, arts and crafts, light horse, health and fitness, and small engines.

Our first club activity was tire and electronics recycling. We picked up tires and electronics from around the county. Our next club activity was the Halloween party where we rented the pool and the dance studio. We ordered pizza and had a fun time swimming. Lastly, we had a Christmas party where we played games and did a gift exchange.

The Vegreville 4-H Multi Club has had a great start to the year and is looking forward to more activities in 2023.

The Vegreville 4-H Beef Club has been busy this December. At our December meeting we had Carl Pipke give our members a Record Book Workshop. There were a lot of details covered and the members can now get started on their project records.

On Dec. 9 and 10 a few of our Junior Members went down to Bruce to attend the annual Fall Fling Camp. They all had a lot of fun meeting new friends, playing games and making crafts.

Dec. 13 had members volunteering their time at the Christmas Bureau in Vegreville. We had a great turnout of volunteers and were done in record time.

The last activity members had was on Dec. 22 at the Vegreville & District Coop, where members sold Raffle Tickets. We split up into shifts throughout the day and had a great turn out.

Happy New Year from the Vegreville 4-H Beef Club.

InnisfreeMinburn 4-H Beef Club December Report

Peyton Hess - Club Reporter

We held our monthly club meeting on December 14 in Innisfree where we welcomed another new member, bringing our total member count to 24! We discussed our plans for a club Christmas party and for our upcoming public speaking competition. We also held a halter making workshop.

Our club discussed where we would like to go for our club field trip this year, but have not yet booked a location or date.

Members have been working hard on their project animals, getting them halter broke, and show-ring ready.

Our club participated in Innisfree’s Holiday in the Hallway, where each member provided baking to sell at the event.

On December 28, we went to Border Escapes for our club Christmas party. Everyone had a great time! The older members were the only successful group to get out of their room in time, even beating the adults!
