Ukrainian Christmas Eve with Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Choir

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Choir presented an evening performance of Ukrainian and English Christmas carols to the residents at Homestead Senior Citizen’s Lodge on Jan. 6.

Organizer Sonia Tatarin said other then it being Ukrainian Christmas Eve she decided to host the performance because she worked at this lodge for 33 years. “My sister, Marie Yakimowich,

mentioned that our choir should perform here and the lodge agreed to let us sing carols.

Also, when I worked over there all those years, I used to sit by the table and did a lot of different types of singing in my free time with the residents so I know that they really enjoyed it.”

Attendees Louise Dubuc said the music is always welcomed there. “It was nice to see old friends.”

Jessie Bodnar said the caroling was very good. “I understood everything in Ukrainian and English.”
