Bev Mills was a Creator of Halloween Costumes

Rosanne Fortier News Correspondent Bev Mills is a resident of Vegreville who has been sewing since she was nine-years-old. She came by her talent honestly as her mother was a professional seamstress. “I have sewn my kids clothing and a few things for my grandkids.

I made clown costumes, a Bugs Bunny costume one year, pirate costumes, a devil’s costume, and other types of costumes according to what my kids or grandkids wanted me to make for them. I got my ideas from pictures in magazines, books, and on the internet. Sometimes, I would buy a pattern,” Bev said.

Bev feels it is important for kids and adults to celebrate Halloween and dress up because it lightens things up.

“I decorate my yard every fall and every Halloween for the kids. This year I feel it is especially important for people to enjoy themselves because it is a different time and a lot of people have not been able to get out a lot. It is fun for people to see the little kids come by and play make-believe.”
