The DHL Stormers had a busy programme in preparing for the 2015 Vodacom Super Rugby season by starting the year with a training camp in Hermanus and three pre-season friendlies against SWD, the Cheetahs and the Boland Cavaliers. Earlier in January a 39-man DHL Stormers squad had a pre-season four-day training camp in Hermanus with team-building exercises, on-field training as well as an open training session to ensure players are prepared for the three preseason friendly matches. The camp also included a field session under the watchful eye of SA Rugby breakdown specialist, Richie Gray. Scarra Ntubeni, Eben Etzebeth, Duane Vermeulen, Nizaam Carr and Damian de Allende – all of whom toured with the Springboks at the end of last year were part of the training camp, along with capped Springboks, Siya Kolisi, Juan de Jongh and Jaco Taute.

Die produksie was die vierde suksesvolle aanbieding van die Atterbury en Rust en Vrede Versnit program saamgestel deur Jean Engelbrecht en Louis van der Watt. Terwyl die klankopname van Dulsie van den Berg se woorde uit die TV-reeks ‘Agter elke Man’ weerklink, het Steve Hofmeyr ‘Agter elke man’ vir die gehoor gesing. Hy het ook op luisteryke wyse sy Neil Diamond gunstelinge met die gehoor gedeel.

Springbok star Duane Vermeulen will captain the DHL Stormers in 2015, with DHL Western Province's Absa Currie Cup-winning captain Juan de Jongh named as vice-captain for the upcoming Vodacom Super Rugby season. "Both Duane and Juan are long-time and key members of the DHL Stormers playing squad," DHL Stormers head coach Allister Coetzee said. "In the past our leadership groups were able to rely on experienced campaigners like Deon Fourie, Tiaan Liebenberg, Pat Cilliers, Brok Harris, De Kock Steenkamp, Peter Grant and Gio Aplon, but there are no such luxuries this year for Duane and Juan.” The DHL Stormers will open their 2015 Vodacom Super Rugby campaign against the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday, 14 February. Their first home game is against the Blues, at DHL Newlands, on Saturday, 21 February.

Die talentvolle Afrikaanse kunstenaars, sommige al volksbesit en ander splinternuut tot die bedryf, het hierdie ‘n volwaardige nostalgiese reis vervolmaak.

Laurika se Blou Kafee het die gehoor meegesleur na tye van mooi wense en drome droom, terwyl Elvis Blue die dae toe ons jonk was uitstekend uitgebeeld het. Die nuweling Joshua na die Reën het gesorg dat die Sekelmaan deur die aand weerklink, en sy optrede saam met Laurika Rauch het groot aanklank onder the gehoor gevind. Adam Tas het nie alleen gevra: “Is dit hoe die hemel lyk, is dit hoe dit proe,” maar ook die lied talentvol oorgedra. Jannie Moolman het welliswaar die “Swaarkry as die wintermaande nader kruip” op luisteryke wyse vertolk, en Amanda Strydom het die gehoor bekoor met “So loop ons verder die pad.” Die kwaliteit sang het die volmaaktheid van Versnit 2015 onderskryf. Stellenbosch City Orchestra Debut Perfromance at Oude Libertas

The newly formed Stellenbosch City Orchestra made its Debut under the baton of Matie alumnus, Paul Zuilenburg at a jam-packed Oude Libertas Amphitheatre in Stellenbosch on 25 January. The music performed by this 55 piece symphony orchestra covered all aspects of the symphonic genre and varied from Jazz, Broadway to movie sound tracks and light Classical repertoire. The newly formed Stellenbosch City Orchestra is based on the hugely successful model of Paul Zuilenburg’s Bloemfontein City Orchestra where amateur and professional musicians play alongside each other in a full scale Symphony Orchestra.

Western Cape Chefs Shortlist for S.Pellegrino’s Young Chef Awards 2015 Four Western Cape chefs have made it through to phase two of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 awards. One chef from each region stands the chance to compete in the international competition in Milan in June when the overall winner will be announced.

The Stellenbosch City Orchestra performed famous themes from 007, Schindler’s List, the ever so popular My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, and Fiddler on the Roof, followed by Chicago, a Sinatra Medley, New York, New York, not to mention the Duke Ellington Medley as well as Les Misérables, the Pink Panther, the Jungle Book, 42nd Street, Cabaret, Star Wars Suite, and Together again. An unexpected add-on to the show was saxophonist Andrew Young’s performance.

The Western Cape finalists are Amoré Botha, chef de partie at Azure at the 12 Apostles in Camps Bay, Angelo Scirocco, sous chef at Chefs Warehouse in Cape Town, Darren Badenhorst, chef at The Restaurant at Grande Provence in Franschhoek and Katlego Sebastian Mlambo, sous chef at Rust en Vrede Restaurant in Stellenbosch. The 10 chefs will compete in a local competition, from which one representative will be chosen to battle it out against 19 chefs from the other regions in Milan in June 2015. David Higgs, the Executive Chef of Saxon Boutique Hotel in Johannesburg, a multi-award winning Chef who is world-renowned for his exquisite and artistic dishes has been selected as the mentor for the San Pellegrino Young Chef Awards 2015 representing Africa and Middle East in Milan in June 2015.

Paul Zuilenburg’s performance as conductor took the audience by surprise. He disclosed his secret to the audience - on reserving the venue for a symphonic production, he had no orchestra.“The only part of the orchestra was me,” he laughed.

More than 3000 young chefs submitted their application together with their signature dish on www.finedininglovers.com to get a chance to participate to S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015, the global scouting project to find the world’s best young chefs. The selection for the first 10 finalists for each region was made according to five Golden Rules: ingredients, skills, genius, beauty and message. He also revealed that the Stellenbosch City Orchestra had its first rehearsal at the Paul Roos Gymnasium only four days prior to its debut performance at Oude Libertas Amphitheatre. Schools Ready for 2015 On 21 January 2015, more than one million learners returned to school across the province for the 2015 academic year, and for many learners in Grade R and Grade 1, this will be their first time in “big school”. The following 4 schools opened their doors to learners in the Western Cape for the first time: Bottelary Primary School in Stellenbosch, Protea High School in Brakenfell, Itsitsa Primary School in Mfuleni and Wellington Primary School in Wellington. Every year the WCED receives a number of late enrolments. To parents who are having difficulties enrolling their child, or who have failed to enrol their child, they are advised to approach their nearest school as there could be some enrolment cancellations after the school holidays. Alternatively they may approach the local district office for assistance with finding a place at a school. The projected enrolment for 2015 is 109 000 grade 1 learners. The system currently indicates that 34 535 Gr R learners have applied successfully for a space at schools in the Western Cape. Providing Grade R to learners within the province gives them a significant advantage in their first few years of schooling assisting us in achieving better results and education levels in foundation phase learners. The WCED infrastructure section has invested heavily in Grade R over the past few years, building more than 406 classrooms in a four year period. This year 26 schools in the Western Cape will receive new Grade R classrooms. Planning for the school year is not an easy task. It requires a great deal of work and involves various structures within the Western Cape Education Department (WCED), including head office, the districts, principals, educators and school management teams. Going to school for the first time can be an anxious time for both the parents and learners. Children can achieve much more with supportive, interested parents. Without it, their entire futures could be compromised.

First year Maties released thousands of balloons into the air As part of being welcomed to Stellenbosch University on 22 January, some 5000 new students each wrote their hopes and dreams for 2015 on a balloon and released it into the air together. The event formed part of the official welcoming function that was held at the Danie Craven Stadium at Coetzenburg in Stellenbosch. Among others the SU Orchestra entertained guests while the Maties mascot, Pokkel amused the crowd. Students who could not understand Afrikaans were able to tune in on an interpretation service on their cellphones. The opening function also served as the official kick-off to the annual Making A Decision 2 Make A Difference (MAD²) programme. MAD² is a fun, student-driven, fundraising project in aid of Maties Community Service with this year’s theme, Challenge accepted. The public can look forward to the events on the MAD² programme. The first is the ever popular “Vensters” which will be held on 30 January with great fun for the whole family. On Saturday, 7 February from 09:00 fitness enthusiasts are invited to take part in the first ever MAD² Fun Run – a new item on the MAD² calendar. Around the world, tourists visit distilleries while on holiday in search of unique cultural experiences, and with brandy’s long history in South Africa – it was brought here in the 1800s by Dutch sailors – there is much to tell, culminating in recent awards for Van Ryn’s such as Best Worldwide Brandy and International Brandy Producer of the Year. The Best Distillery Tour award celebrates the effectiveness of thoughtful distillery tours. Judges were in search of the most innovative tour that offers tourists an educational and memorable experience into the production and distillation of spirits. Judges commented that the Van Ryn’s team was clearly proud of their work. “They are obviously very focused on what they are doing and work hard to deliver it well.” “It is an impressive tour and great visitor numbers show that they offer visitors something quite different and interesting – such as the cooperage and the presentation on how barrels are put together. The tour also integrates well with other attractions on site and offers informative and rich content delivered in an interesting way.”

Minister Winde Welcomes Move to Roll Out Red Tape Reduction Programme Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, has welcomed the National Government’s decision to implement a Red Tape Reduction programme to support small businesses. The Western Cape Government launched its Red Tape Reduction initiative in 2011 and has since opened more than 2000 cases, achieving a resolution rate of above 80%. It was reported on 21 January 2015 that the Department of Small Businesses has decided to roll its programme out.

Minister Winde said: “The Red Tape team have saved hundreds of jobs in the Western Cape through their interventions. The unit is changing the brand of the Western Cape by sending a clear message that in this province, we are making it easier for business to do business.” “We are now moving into a second phase where we will be taking a more proactive approach to creating an enabling business environment. We are aware of the most problematic regulations and we are targeting these. If we want to remain a competitive destination, we have to cut red tape.” At the Western Cape Government’s inaugural Red Tape Reduction Conference, which was held in September last year, Minister Winde appealed to the national government to conduct Regulatory Impact Assessments to assess the cost of all proposed legislation. Minister Winde said unnecessary legislation had a high economic cost for the country. He highlighted the new visa regulations. “An independent study found that the economic cost to South Africa could run as high as R10 billion, and place 21000 jobs on the line. Cutting red tape needs a whole-of-government, whole-of-society approach. In this regard the Department of Small Business’s move to tackle red tape is a major step in the right direction.”

And there are a myriad stories reaching as far back as the 17th century, making Muratie one of the oldest wineries in the Cape Winelands. Two of Muratie’s Iconic Wines, their flagship white blend, Laurens Campher, and flagship red blend, Ansela van de Caab, honour an extraordinary love story from the estate’s captivating past. The remarkable story of Ansela is written into South African folklore as an icon of the struggle against the horrors of slavery at the Cape in the late 17th century. Born in the slave quarters at the Castle, this little slave girl only had a Christian name, her surname being “van de Caab”, Dutch for “of the Cape”, as was the case with all slaves born at the Cape at the time. The first owner of Muratie, a passionate and determined young German soldier called Laurens Campher, met Ansela at the Castle and fell in love with her. During their 14 year courtship, Laurens frequently walked the 64 kilometres to Cape Town and back, a three day trip, to see his beloved Ansela. When she was eventually emancipated, Ansela returned as Laurens’ wife, with their three children, to Muratie. The oak tree Ansela planted to bless their marriage still stands on Muratie today, as does a small white house, their first home, built for them by Laurens.

Valentine’s Under The Stars At Paul Cluver

Watching a film in a forest theatre is not something a lot of Valentine’s sweethearts will be expecting this Valentine’s Day, but romantics who want to surprise their partners with an extraordinary experience need do no more than buy their tickets and pack their picnic. Set in beautiful Elgin, the Hope @Paul Cluver Amphitheatre will be screening oldschool classic Top Gun this Valentine’s Day, Saturday 14 February. Spreading the love a little further - the proceeds of all Hope Festival events go to the Thembalitsha Foundation; an organisation that supports and rehabilitates some of the most vulnerable and desperate people in our society.

On 28 March, a children’s theatre festival will take place with a performance of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox as well as the plays Get Kraken and Memory. There will also be fun improv-style theatre and lots of fun and games for the family. Patrons can bring their own food; notwithstanding, warm and cold food along with snacks, is for sale. The organisation is very active in the Grabouw area - as well as across Cape Town. The Hope Festival series is a programme of live music, theatre and cinema held on the Paul Cluver Estate. The programme kicked off in November and will run until the end of March.

Paul Steyn - ‘The Man of Steel’ Paul Steyn, also known as ‘The Man of Steel’ has walked many miles through the Western Cape the past years with the purpose of assisting disadvantaged amputees to obtain prosthetic limbs. Paul’s dream is to serve the community and to make a difference in the lives of others in a similar situation. He is planning various new projects for 2015 to establish awareness with authorities, society and interest groups to raise funds to make his dream come true. Paul lost his leg in an accident at school in 2000 when he was only thirteen years old. His leg was amputated below the knee after he spent nearly six months in hospital. Because of family difficulties he was taken into foster care and later went to a children's home in Potchefstroom. After school Paul held various jobs before he decided to further his education. After being rejected by many institutions, he was accepted at Boland College in Worcester, even though he suffers from dyslexia. During his studies Paul participated in various community fundraising projects and the experience he gained created a passion in him for community work. In 2010 Paul could not keep up with his studies and decided to call it a day. His passion to assist people inspired him to start the Paul Steyn Foundation, a non-profit organization (NPO) in 2011 to provide an institute that would benefit amputees, support the most needy to obtain a prosthesis and to bring the plight of amputees to the attention of the general public, medical organizations and corporate entities. Paul also visits people whose limbs had recently been amputated, give moral support and provide encouragement during the recovery process. The trust raise funds through various projects, but mainly through long distance fund raising walks undertaken by Paul Steyn himself. Since 2012 he walked about 2500 kilometres to help Bronwyn van der Bergh, Marius Landman, Coenie Struwig, Suzette Olivier, Shannon Phillips and Craig Opperman, a nine year old to receive prosthesis.

At the end of December 2014 Aphiwe Ntamo acquired a prosthesis through the foundation as his plight and story deeply touched them. The 21 year olds life was changed due to a senseless act of violence as he and a friend were robbed at gunpoint at an ATM. Aphiwe did not have money to give the robbers, and they shot him in the leg, which had to be amputated. Aphiwe's dream of becoming a football player was shattered, but with the help of the foundation he could walk again. This year from August to November Paul is planning his next walk from Durban to Cape Town – a distance of 2400km which he wants to complete in 120 days. Imagenheart, with the award winning team of Desmond Denton, the Producer and Kobus Louw, the Director will be producing a 13 part documentary series of the walk.

Importance of health checks for children Parents are urged to take children for regular general health checks-ups, including vaccinations, if this was not on their “to do list” before the “back to school preparations. According to the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule, children are given the tetanus and reduced strength of diphtheria vaccine (Td Vaccine) at the age of six, followed by another round at the age of 12. “I want to urge parents to ensure that their children receive these vaccinations, which are administered via an injection in their upper arm. Prevention is always better than cure. Also, our clinics offer these immunisations free of charge,” said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Health, Councillor Benedicta Van Minnen. City Health staff are also well placed to provide advice on good nutrition, which is a key focus of the Directorate’s awareness and education programme. It makes sense to prevent more people from getting sick, which is why we place such heavy emphasis on responsible behaviour, but also good nutrition. Our staff can help parents with advice on finding a balance for their child’s lunchbox that will positively aid their growth and development, but also keep them healthy. Child obesity is a grave concern around the world, so we need to do everything possible to promote healthy eating habits and exercise,’ added Councillor Van Minnen. Is it safe to smoke ‘hubbly bubbly’? The City of Cape Town will escalate its efforts this year for legislative clarity on the wide array of ‘alternative’ smoking devices and habits that have become commonplace in South Africa. Ongoing research into hookah pipes (or ‘hubbly bubblies’ as the devices are commonly known) indicates that they are decidedly more dangerous than societal attitudes suggest. The most recent study in the United States of America found that 39% of teens and young adults who had previously smoked hookah pipes went on to smoke cigarettes. Hookah pipes are very popular in Cape Town, not just among adults, but also children because there is a perception that the flavoured tobacco is somehow not harmful. Tobacco is tobacco, no matter what the flavour.

“We need to be more mindful as a society about the burden we’re placing on the healthcare system. In the Cape especially, we have very high levels of TB and other respiratory diseases and so we need to make every effort to combat those, including prevention through responsible personal choices,” said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Health, Councillor Benedicta Van Minnen.

City Health has met with researchers from both the University of Cape Town and the University of the Western Cape. The consensus is that while the research is not definitive, smoking hookah pipes is harmful to the health of an individual. The researchers are also in agreement that nicotine remains one of the most addictive substances, especially for young people. “I will be raising the issue with the National Health Minister to push for legal clarity on the use of hookah pipes and e-cigarettes sooner rather than later. I am not necessarily pushing for a ban on the devices, because to be fair there is not definitive proof of their impact, but we do need to close the legislative vacuum where these devices are concerned,” added Councillor Van Minnen

Stargazing picnic at Taalmonument

Stargazing enthusiasts should not miss the Stargazing Picnic at the Afrikaanse Taalmonument on Paarl Mountain on 21 February. At these picnics visitors can discover the night skies with the help of the Orion Observation Group (OOG), an informal stargazing club from the Boland.

The theme for the evening is “Cosmic Matrimonial Dance”. The picnic starts at 18:00. A guided tour of the Monument starts at 18:30. From 20:00 to 22:30 visitors can watch the skies through telescopes under the guidance of OOG members. A photography workshop will also be presented at the Stargazing Picnic on 21 February.

Participants will learn to take timeexposure photographs to record star trails. This practical workshop by professional photographer and registered tour guide Peter Haarhoff, of the Cape Photographic Company, is suitable for beginner and intermediate photographers. A digital or 35mm single lens reflex (SLR) camera is essential. A workshop fee will be charged. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets or they can order one from Volksmond Coffee. Volksmond will be open for coffee and light refreshments. No dogs and fires are allowed. Safe parking is available and access is controlled. Visitors are advised to bring along binoculars and warm clothes. Stargazing Picnics will be cancelled if weather conditions change. Cape Classic Festival The Cape Classic Festival takes place every year in an area of unique beauty, wonderful landscapes, breath-taking views and endless vineyards. This idyll unites nature and man. Additionally, the intimate nature of the unique chamber music festival, with its international artists, guarantees every evening that the audience may indulge themselves in music, lost in their own thoughts, happy and content with the world. The love of classical music and enthusiasm for South Africa were Gabi Zahn’s motivation to found, ten years ago, an annual chamber music festival in the winelands of the Western Cape. The bases of these festivals are compositions of the baroque, classical and romantic eras, often including rarities by unknown and forgotten composers of the same periods. Famous instrumentalists who have performed for Cape Classic are Daniel MüllerSchott (violoncello) and Igor Levit (piano), to name just two of the approximately ninety musicians who have come to South Africa. All artists declined a performance fee and volunteered to work for Cape Classic without remuneration. Only in this way were they able to generate a surplus of the ticket sales in order to assist selected social projects which support township children. Since 2005 the Non-Profit Organisation Cape Classic e.V. has donated more than €70000 to various projects for underprivileged children. Cape Classic has paid school fees for orphans, English lessons for Afrikaans speaking children and study fees for highly talented students. Cape Classic also bought school uniforms for the poorest.

Masolino Willemse, from Scottsdene Secondary School in Kraaifontein is one of the candidates who has faced and overcome extreme hardship. He has grown up and lives in an area where violence, gangsterism and drugs are prevalent and the death of a close friend nearly derailed him. He was arrested for possession of drugs and his father told him that he would never get anywhere or pass matric. Despite these difficult conditions, he worked hard and with determination, once he decided to go for it and passed the National Senior Certificate with 2C

BUMPER SEASON FOR WESTERN CAPE TOURISM Like clockwork, summer in the Western Cape saw an increase in GP number plates making their way from town to town. More visible this season was the number of international visitors seen at the key attractions and beaches. It’s no wonder then that Cape Town and the Western Cape has experienced one of its best summer seasons to date. With 5 028 362 visitors during November and December 2014, the V&A Waterfront experienced its best year to date, exceeding 24 million visitors over the course of the year for the first time. Other big attractions like Kirstenbosch also saw a spike in visitor numbers over the summer period, attracting 86 117 and 116 986 visitors for November and December respectively. Its November percentage change seeing a 23% spike and December realising a 31% increase in visitors when compared to the same period for 2013.

BEST NEW TOURIST ATTRACTIONS The travel guide company Lonely Planet released its list of the World’s best travel experiences of 2015, which forms part of its latest ebook “New in Travel. “New in Travel will take travellers off the beaten track to places in Ireland, Panama, USA, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand, Hong Kong, England and South Africa. One of the new attractions listed by Lonely Planet list was Cape Canopy Tour, new adventure activity in the Western Cape. An adrenaline rushing cliff gliding experience harnessed hanging from a cable overlooking the gorges through the Hottentots Holland Mountain range.

Judy Lain, Chief Marketing officer at Wesgro, the Western Cape’s official Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion agency says that the Province remains a big draw card for both domestic and international visitors alike: “The continued increase in visitor numbers is confirmation that our beautiful scenery, amazing activities and friendly people edged throughout our province continues to draw visitors from far and wide. We are confident that visitor numbers from across the Province will paint a positive picture for tourism over the summer season,” she says.

Mossel Bay conducted a survey which indicated that visitors to their information offices were up from 2013 figures. Says Mossel Bay Tourism’s Marcia Holms; “the largest number of respondents (39.7%) indicated that they had come to town for holidays of between one and five days; about a third (29.2%) for six to ten days; 11% for eleven to fourteen days; and 12.4% for fifteen to twenty-one days. 7.6% of respondents were staying for more than three weeks.” “(26% of respondents were overseas visitors, and 74% domestic; Our largest domestic source markets were Gauteng (34%), the Free State (18%), the Western Cape (13%), and the Northern Cape (10%),” said Holms. Other key attractions in the Province that experienced good year on year growth when comparing December 2013 to 2014 include; the West Coast National Park who welcomed 36 598 visitors in 2014 compared to 35 852 in 2013, while the Wilderness National Park in the Garden Route increased its December numbers by 21.7% hosting 25 495 visitors in 2014. Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, Kogelberg Nature Reserve, Bontebok National Park, Agulhas National Park and Cape Agulhas Lighthouse all in the Cape Overberg experienced increases in visitor numbers. Cape Town International Airport Arrivals for December 2014 makes for very good reading. International arrivals were up by 3.2%, regional arrivals which includes departures from Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Namibia, increased by 13.8% while the domestic arrivals make up the majority during December with 6.5%. “The increase in visitor numbers throughout the province is reassuring to an industry that contributes more than R18 billion to our provincial economy annually and employs approximately 150 000 people.”

Tour d’Afrique - one of the world’s greatest cycling trips The 2015 Tour d’Afrique started on 9 January 2015 from Cairo to Cape Town. From the watchful eyes of the immortal Sphinx, the cyclists head south along the Red Sea and the Nile River in Egypt, visiting the famous sites of Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel, before entering Sudan. After enjoying the desert climes and warm hospitality of the Sudanese people, the tour climbs up into Ethiopia which is renowned for its rugged, almost biblical landscapes.

The trans-African crossing from Cairo to Cape Town has been one of the world’s epic journeys ever since Cecil Rhodes’ 19th century dream of connecting South Africa and Egypt by rail. Since then, the route has become an iconic goal for global adventurers .Over the years individuals have attempted to complete the route using every kind of transport imaginable, with many forced to abandon their quest due to physical challenges and geopolitical complications. In 2003, the inaugural Tour d’Afrique succeeded in cycling the entire 12,000 km distance and in the process established the Guinness World Record for the fastest human powered crossing of Africa.

Having conquered the challenges of Ethiopia, the tour then enters more westernized Kenya, crossing the remote Dida Galgalu desert on a notorious lava rock road en route to Nairobi. With Mount Kilimanjaro looming in the distance, the cyclists will ride into the verdant and wildlife rich country of Tanzania. The tour then descends into less known Malawi, the “Warm Heart of Africa,” where the riders will savour the shore and surf of Lake Malawi and ride alongside some of that nation’s many cycling farmers. After crossing Zambia from east to west they will arrive at the Zambezi River and the world famous Victoria Falls.

The final month of the trans-Africa expedition begins in flat Botswana where they are bound to encounter elephants along the road. From there the tour spins into Namibia, and across its harsh, but stunning desert landscapes. After crossing the Senqu (Orange) river the tour enters its 10th and final country, South Africa, a land of beauty, contrast and rich history. The tour comes to an end during May in Cape Town, where the riders will look back at their amazing journey and celebrate with lifelong friends.
