The acting from the main cast is good and believable, but I do not think there was anything that necessarily stands out and separates that aspect from other horror movies. The cinema tography, on the other hand, was incred ibly effective for me. Creating a constant
sense of unease and fear of what is in the dark or around the corner is where ‘Barbarian’ thrives. Towards the mid point of the film, there were some slight pacing issues where it felt like I was watching a completely different movie, but to its credit, I was just as interested in this other storyline that was intro duced.‘Barbarian’ is certainly a film to head to the theaters and check out this fall if you are looking for a good scare, tension, and a well-crafted film in general.

with an experience of fulfilling scares, smart writing and genuinely wellthought-out‘Barbarian’twists.not only delivers on the scares but surprisingly on some laughs as well. Cregger’s approach shows some influence from the societal satire themes that director Jordan Peele loves to hit on with his critically ac claimed films. Taking the usual tropes that you see in horror movies, Cregger’s turns a lot of that onto its head and sub verts your expectations in ways that are at times disgusting, incredibly uncom fortable, and utterly chaotic.
In his film directorial debut, Zach Cregger hit the nail on the head with the release of his unpredictable and chilling horror film, ‘Barbarian.’ Horror mov ies have long had the problem of being somewhat predictable and formulaic, but ‘Barbarian’ challenges that process of filmmaking and provides the viewer

What Lisbeth and Mikael discover throughout their investigation is horrific and disturbing. This book dives into themes of government and business corruption, family abuse, sexual abuse, crimes against women and investigative research. If you are into gripping thrillers, I would highly suggest this book. The characters are rich and their person alities add some emotion to this twisted story. This book isn’t for the weak of the heart.

“ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be stead fast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Co.15:58 NKJ)
Just about everything in this life is tempo rary. Yet, most people work very hard to have a pleasant few years in their lifetime. I would like to remind the true Christians that God is offering us an eternity of bless ing as we serve him and his purposes now.
the Apostle Paul is reminding these believers of Christ’s resurrection and how true and real it was. He continues by emphasizing the sure promise of God that we are going to share in that resurrec tion one day. We will have a new, eternal body like Jesus has now. As we help in the work of God, furthering his kingdom;

ETERNITY IN MIND!
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” by Stieg Larsson is a psychological thriller origi nally written in Swedish. The book is the first of a trilogy written by Larsson, following the main protagonist, Lisbeth Salander. Salander comes off as small and weird when in reality she’s dangerous and disturbed by her past. Lisbeth’s aggressive demeanor makes her hard to communicate or work with, although she is the best at what she does. She is a skilled hacker and private investigator, working to make sure the people who go un noticed get the justice they deserve. In “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” Lisbeth begins helping Swedish journalist, Mikael Blomkvist in his investigation of a girl who went missing 40 years prior. Blomkvist works the case in an attempt to earn information on his professional rival, who put him in prison for libel.
demonstrating the love of God in blessing and serving others; as you and I get involved with helping missionary work, even going to help in short term mission trips or providing finances for others to go, we are laying up treasure in heaven “where moths cannot corrupt and thieves cannot Actually,steal.”this kingdom of God, with forgive ness of all our sins and a new relationship with God as our Father, is offered to all mankind. If you have never opened your heart to Christ, asking for a clean heart and a new life; the door is open wide for you to come. You will not be turned away. Then you too can begin to live for the eternal: laying up treasure in Heaven. I en courage all to consider these words, no matter your age, and choose the best and most satisfying life. It is a life following Christ as your Lord, and going for God’s best in eternity. It is a great and sure future!
The “Millennium” trilogy opened my eyes to new perspectives on government and corporate corruption and how people will do anything to make money. These books are meant to bring the topic of abuse against women to the reader’s attention. It shows that as a society, men oftentimes abuse their power to get what they want physically from a woman. This happens more than people think or know. Larsson does a great job of creating a complex character who is fighting for justice in an unjust society. I would recommend this book if you’re into psychological thrillers.
