Scott talks Arizona State and Missouri wins in weekly coach’s radio show Daniel Allen Staff Reporter
The Cowboys keep climbing the college wrestling ranks. Oklahoma State finished the weekend with another 2-0 record, logging dominant wins over No. 24 Arizona State on Friday and No. 5 Missouri on Sunday. Associate head coach and staff assistant Coleman Scott filled in for head coach John Smith in OSU’s weekly coach’s radio show on Monday. There, Scott recapped the Cowboys’ productive weekend and highlighted the growth and maturation of several young wrestlers. Here are some noteworthy nuggets from what Scott said. Opening statement “I don’t know if ‘surprise’ is really the right word for some of the matches over the weekend. I think that the expectation when we send somebody out on the mat is to perform at their highest level. And it’s really been the young guys that have embraced that here early on, you know, four to five freshmen in a lineup pretty much every dual, right? I think this weekend the freshmen were 7-1 over that period. “And I think that it was a really good weekend for us in that regard, but they’ve done that week-in and week-out, and just everybody’s doing their job individually for the team. And it’s showing, quite honestly. These guys are feeding off each other and wrestling really well right now. Houston clobbers OSU with attacking defense Gabriel Trevino Staff Reporter
Expecting Oklahoma State to stay close on the road with the best defensive team in the country was a setup for disappointment. No. 5 Houston — according to defensive efficiency, KenPom, opposing field goal percentage and points per game, and a number of other defensive metrics — are said best defensive team. It lost in a blowout at Kansas Saturday and carried the emotions of that loss
into Tuesday’s game vs OSU. OSU couldn’t handle the pressure against the Cougars’ blitzing defense, as the Cowboys dropped their eighth conference game in the 79-63. For 97% of the game, OSU had more turnovers (17) than made field goals. Twenty-four of OSU’s 63 points were off free throws, as the Cowboys went to the line almost 40 times. Tuesday’s first half was the Jamal Shead show. The Wooden Award semifinalist snub had 17 in the first and finished with 23, four assists and three steals in 29 minutes. In comparison, OSU scored 21 points in the first half, the least of any Big 12 team in any half
this season. The highlight of the second half was Houston coach Kelvin Sampson’s ejection. Sampson, 68, walked the length of the court to aggressively argue with the referees on an OSU shouldhave-been offensive foul while Houston led 20. His son, Kellen Sampson, coached the remainder of the game. There are few takeaways from OSU’s performance. John-Michael Wright started the game 3-5 with two 3s but ended 4-14 from the field and 3-10 from 3. Javon Small attempted 14 free throws, making 12, to go with five rebounds. Brandon Garrison played physically (often too physical) as he continues
to adapt to facing the country’s best big men each night in the Big 12. Tuesday was the beginning of three of OSU’s next four games on the road. OSU will go to Norman for the first Bedlam Saturday, before returning home after a week to face BYU — one of the best teams in the country — then going to Cincinnati. At 2-8 in conference play and eight games remaining, the Cowboys will need a a sharp turnaround to simply not play on the first day of the Big 12 Tournament. sports.ed@ocolly.com

Cowgirl golf team finishes fifth at Puerto Rico Classicmeeting Gina Foster Staff Reporter
The spring season is heating up as the Cowgirls competed in the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic. Oklahoma State consistently played the par-72 Grand Reserve Golf Club throughout each round, but there is still room for improvement, as they finished fifth on Tuesday. Freshman Marta Silchenko had a standout performance in Round 1, carding a 4-under 68. This left her tied for third, where she also remained through the second round. Clemence Martin began the tournament carding 12 straight pars and adding four more in the remainder of her round. This led to an even 72 on Sunday. GOD’S VIEW OF US! “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (I Peter 2:9-10 NIV) It is good to stop and see who and where we are. This is what the apostle says of all believers. Those who have turned to Christ and received him as their Lord and saviour. By God’s grace, we have received a new relationship with God. It is quite a step up from where we were before. We have received mercy and are God’s people. We belong to him! However, there is a purpose in all of this.

Yeah, there’s a whole class on her. You can take it and learn about the effects of her violent acts on American culture. Electronic Dance Music: DJing is a clever artform, according to this course. Students can learn from “DJ Thunder Bunny” (yes, you saw that right) how to work turntables and create a set list. If you’re worried about the final exam, don’t be. It’s a rave party with all the students all performing a DJ set together. news.ed@ocolly.com
We are to realize all that God has done for us and praise him who has called us out of spiritual darkness into his wonderful light. He has not only forgiven our many sins, never to be remembered any more, but has brought into a new relationship. We are children of God! We are to live with him forever in his Heaven. The wonderful truth is that all can come to Christ and receive this wonderful relationship with the God of love!. No matter about your past. All are welcome to come. Christ died for all that they might receive this great and eternal blessing.. Wow! As Christians we can and should share this message with all. I remember first sharing this with two fellow air force men As I begin to share, there was a great joy.that filled my being. No wonder it is called the “Gospel”.
