Registered Republicans of Payne County are eligible to participate in an election this Tuesday, Aug. 25.
The Payne County Election Board issued a press release to The O’Colly last week, reminding voters that the Aug. 25 runoff election will be for registered Republicans only. The only race on the ballot will be the
Republican runoff between incumbent Sheriff Kevin Woodward, and challenger Joe Harper. Since Republican primaries in Oklahoma are closed, Democrats and Independents cannot participate in
Ocolly this election. And since there was no opposition-party challenger for this seat, the winner of Tuesday’s primary election will win the seat by default. Republicans who are registered voters of Payne County
have multiple options to participate in this election, according to the Election Board’s release. In-Person Voting In person voting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Anyone who

Netflix, attempting to circumvent their lack of Marvel or DC properties, has had quite the interest in original superhero movies over the past few years.
Such interest has artistic potential. Moving out of the shadow of established franchises allows for unique takes on the genre to shine. Unfortunately, these films have tended to feel less
like passion projects and more like an assembly line of mildly entertaining b-tier superhero movies ordered by studio executives. “Project Power”, perhaps unsurprisingly, is one of those movies.
In “Project Power”, a new drug has hit the streets of New Orleans that gives the user a superpower for five minutes, but the power is unknown until ingested. Police officer Frank (Joseph

Gordon-Levitt) and teenage dealer Robin (Dominique Fishback) find themselves working with wanted man Art (Jamie Foxx) as he seeks to find his daughter and uncover the source of the mysterious pills.
