So you're in quarantine. Monday, November 16, 2020

Here's how to make it more enjoyable. By Amelia Jauregui Amid the COVID craziness, it is almost inevitable that you or someone you know will get the virus. It is important to follow the needed protocols and mask mandates here in Stillwater, but unfortunately, being in a community of so many close-knit individuals, the chances of experiencing the virus are high. I’m sure everyone is hyper-aware of what someone must do following a positive test or being a primary contact, but it does require the dreaded quarantine. idea is placed in your head, this virus and time in quarantine is not something that should be romanticized or idealized. Nonetheless, there are ways to make the most of a less than enjoyable situation. Walking/Running: When it comes to quaran-

tine, one of the first things to get old is being in the same space 24/7. However, if one feels up to the task, going on walks or runs outside can be a great way to get fresh air and a change of scenery. Just make sure to keep your distance from people to keep them

safe from possible infection. Painting/ Drawing: This is another great option for someone who may be stuck inside their room. Take art supplies you may have such as pencils, paints, markers-- whatever is easily accessible-- and try to create a new piece of art. There is no need to have any artistic background or talent because this is just a fun way to get the creative juices flowing. Workout Challenges: If you look anywhere on social media, especially YouTube, you will see that workout challenges are abundant. If you look up a one or two-week workout challenge and follow through with it throughout the time supposed to be spent in your bedroom, you could have the ability to both feel and look better. Of course, if feeling ill, this may not be the best quarantine activity. See Quarantine on page 3
