Protect your trademark – by Anders Rosell PROTECT YOUR TRADEMARK – your prefix, that is! Easier said than done, but we live and learn. With dog terminology, we define this as "backdooring". For those of you who have attended my breeders seminars know what I mean. So do those who operate like TRUE breeders. Some people are just out to get what you have and pay very little respect to the work and effort you have put into your own breeding program. Some even treat you like a doormat to saturate their own egos and just take advantage, or even take credit for it themselves. They trash you and your dogs behind your back at the same time as they do their best to get hold of what you have. Some will never cease to amaze. They can easily destroy your trademarkbrand-reputation in no time - and also "sell it on" to others you certainly DO NOT want to get access to it. We have tried to do this right yet made all the mistakes in the world in spite of the fact that our stud dogs never have been offered at public stud. Our puppies are sold very selectively too. Success is based on decisions where most of them need to be of the right kind. Be on your guard and only work with people, breeders, who show mutual respect! The good people who you also like - the rest you can live without!

www.bulldogbreedcouncil.co.uk The Breed Council is comprised today of 19 Bulldog Clubs in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland registered with the Kennel Club. The Objectives of the Breed Council is to promote the Bulldog of the true type and liaise with the Kennel Club on all aspects of the health and well being of the breed.
