“Combining social media and print marketing in an integrated campaign strategy” What people are saying about us... “Beyond a magazine, Paisley believes in making an impact to riders at all levels. They understand and work with companies to make their advertising dollars convert to sales! They are great partner to work with!” ~ Tracey Currey of PonyTail Bows @ Paisley_Magazine @ teampaisley

The Paisley Magazine

“Thanks for always having great customer support as I do a new ad. Your graphics department does amazing stuff to make my ad “POP” and get plenty of attention. Shelly Viruete is always available to help and changes are always welcomed. Sometime I know I can be a pest!! I look forward to viewing your wonderful magazine plus it can be read online!! That is a great touch. A happy customer.” ~ Sandy Sue Holbrook - Sugarbrook Farm “ Elliena EQ and Ellie’s Bows would like to thank Paisley Pony Magazine, especially Cindy and Shelly for helping us with all of our advertising needs. They were super accommodating and flexible. They made all of our advertising look amazing and we can not thank them enough for our beautiful cover! Thanks again to the Paisley Magazine team. “ Name: Simone Coate Age: 15 Discipline: Hunter/Jumper What I’ve enjoyed: I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of the ambassadors and becoming a part of the paisley family. Everyone is so kind and supportive and it’s so wonderful to be apart of such a welcoming group.

Over the years I have probably supplied as many photos to as many magazines as any other photographer. Admitedly because I’ve been doing it for longer than most. I must admit that our relationship with much of the media has not been very good from our point of view. Somehow many of the magazines thought that they were offering a wonderful opportunity to photographers by using their photos in exchange for a photo credit. If I had received even a minimal payment for each photo that was “going to make you famous” I would probably still have good relations with many magazines. But I didn’t…so I don’t. I have been supplying Cindy Taylor and her magazines photos for at least 20 years…probably longer. Cindy Taylor has never seen an invoice from us and not one issue goes by that Cindy does not contact us and ask us if we’d like to run an ad…for the same price that we bill her for photos. We take care of each other…and there is no better way to “do business”. We both have the same outlook…What can we do for each other to better the media that horse people have to look forward to each month. The magazine business is facing some challenging times ahead and we are happy to make our work available to Cindy and her ventures. ~ James Leslie Parker/The Book LLC

We are proud to say we have many customers that were our advertisers when we started in 2005... and are STILL advertising with us today! Building partnerships ... one ad at a time!

We are actively involved in the industry through donations and sponsorships!

The Paisley Magazine: big enough to get the job done... but small enough to give great customer service The Paisley Magazine was created two years after we launched The Plaid Horse. The idea behind both magazines was affordable, effective advertising with a bit of fun thrown in! We wanted magazines that people enjoyed and looked forward to reading. If they read the magazine- they see your ad! In 2014 we were approached about selling The Plaid Horse. After much thought, the decision was made to sell it and keep The Paisley. We felt the market of ponies and their riders/owners/handlers still had so much untapped potential. By only having one magazine- we are able to fully devote our time and attention to the market of ponies and their people! We have a staff of experienced, knowledgeable and creative people...happy to help in any way. Great customer service is something we have always made a priority. As we now head into our 12th year of publishing the Paisley Magazine- we are extremely excited about both it’s growth and potential. Our Ambassador program is exploding! The involvement of the kids helps us keep our finger on the pulse of what the juniors want! All of us at the magazine are life-long equestrians, so we understand the business. We also have reps that are involved in the breeding world. This helps keep us up to speed on what matters to breeders and stallion owners. If you are looking for a magazine to work with, we hope you consider us. We think outside the box. We know our readers and advertisers appreciate value for their dollar...regardless if they show locally or at Palm Beach or Thermal. If you would like additional information, just contact us. We are happy to tell you what we can offer and how we can help you with your marketing!

Mission Statement: THE PAISLEY MAGAZINE is now in its twelfth year of publication. We provide our advertisers a variety of options for affordable, national advertising. We are big enough to get the job done for you, but small enough to offer personal one on one customer service. While there are many equine focused publications, ours is the one with an exclusive focus on the pony world and its diverse human population, including breeders, owners, trainers, those who simply have an interest, but most notably, the junior riders and their ponies. We highlight young pony riders, whether they ride at home just for pleasure, at 4-H and other local shows or on the “A” circuit. Our staff is made up of experienced and knowledgeable “pony people”, who strive to produce the best magazine and customer service possible. Our Ambassador Program unites and empowers pony kids from all over. Through THE PAISLEY, they have a sense of belonging to the pony world and a voice in it.Through this important link to the world that we showcase in print and photographs, we are proud to have evolved into more than just a magazine. We are now an active and involved member of the pony community. Our mission is to continue and further enhance that role, while effectively and economically serving our advertisers who make our continued existence possible.

Paisley Ambassador Program We started The Paisley Magazine Ambassador Partnership Program in 2016. We have both Ambassadors and Team Members from all over the country and at different levels of competition. They are actively involved with the magazine. They help with distribution, magazine awareness, content ideas, product reviews and even video commercials! They understand and

work with companies to make their advertising dollars convert to sales!

We feel the program is beneficial to the magazine, our advertisers and also to the Ambassadors. An example of what we love about our Ambassador Program: From Team Member Maddie Rauschenbach : How has being a Paisley Team Ambassador helped you? Being a Team Paisley Ambassador has been a wonderful experience for me. I have been able to meet lots of important people in the business, including Bob Cachione, head of the IHSA, and Roxanne Rheinheimer, head of the IEA. When I was at IEA National Finals I got a chance to meet Mr. Cahione and take a picture with him and the current copy of the Paisley Pony Magazine. I wouldn’t have just walked up to him and said Hi, but since I was able to introduce myself as a Paisley Pony Ambassador it was easier to do. Also, being an Ambassador has opened other doors for me as well. ECE now sponsors me, and that connection started because I was affiliated with the Paisley Pony.

if juniors and their parents are your market...no one reaches it better than we do!

The Paisley Magazine...For Juniors...By Juniors

About the Equestrian Industry: Equestrian competitors and fans constitute an ideal market for high quality products and services. As a group they are well educated, have ample disposable income and the time to use it in pursuit of their passions. Other factors, including age and profession, make them a perfect target audience for corporations seeking an upscale market. Research compiled from USEF offers these indicators of the buying power and influence held by horse sport enthusiasts: * 85% are women * 63% are married * A majority are between 34-54 years of age * 66% have a college degree or better * 56% are employed full-time * 80% make or directly influence purchasing decisions at work * 38% have a net worth over $500,000 * Nearly half have an annual income greater than $100,000 * 40% live on a farm; 66% of those are ten acres or more * 63% have traded stocks, bonds or mutual funds in the last year * The market value of the average home is $594,000. 22% own two or more homes. * On average, they spend 30 nghts per year in a hotel and rent a vehicle four times per year. * They own three vehicles; 53% own a pick-up truck * 94% own a pet besides a horse or pony. Average number of cats owned is two and average number of dogs owned is two. Equestrian enthusiasts are highly active and mobile. Forty-three percent take more than 16 airline trips a year. Over half have purchased a new automobile within the last year and 97.3% hold more than one credit card account. * * Source: USEF About the Influence of Youths: Youths also shape the buying patterns of their families. From vacation choices to car purchases to meal selections, they exert a tremendous power over the family pocketbook. Experts estimate that two- to fourteen-year-olds have sway over $500 billon a year in household purchasing. Thus, to influence youth is to influence the entire family’s buying decisions. *Source: www.princeton.edu - Sandra L. Calvert
