Ramirez, Presley Hyde, Lane Wagner, Jadyn Cardona Winner Presley Hyde The Jud Brower M e m o r i a l Showmanship trophy is given each year to a beginning Horse & Pony 4-H member. A 4H member may only win this trophy one time. This trophy is given in honor of Becky Martinez’s son and Jed Brower’s brother, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1981. Jud completed 10 years in 4-H and was planning to be a leader in the Horse & Pony Club. His brother, Jed Brower, also completed 10 years in 4-H and is still showing horses. Jud and Jed’s grandmother, Mary Hiner, and Curt Beam were the founders of the original Horse & Pony Club in 1960. They had 93 horses and ponies that first year. So, with great honor, this tradition continues from the Jud Brower family to the Miami County 4-H Horse & Pony club members.
