RANDY D. RITCHIE

KNOX, IN - Randy D. Ritchie, 61, died at 9:43pm, Monday, July 22, 2024, in Grovertown, after an extended illness. He was born April 15, 1963, in Knox, Indiana, to Wilbur Ritchie and Marcella (Rowe) Hamilton.

Randy had worked as a carpenter. He loved music, playing guitar, playing in a band and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Marcella of Knox and three sisters: Nina (Steve) McCoy of Grovertown, Indiana, Tina (Bob) Brown and Melissa (Aaron) Anderson, both of Knox. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur and one brother, Paul Ritchie.

Services were held Thursday, July 25, at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, with Pastor David Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to the family.

Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

DONNA S. COLDIRON WHEELER

KNOX, IN - Donna S. Coldiron

Wheeler, 72, died at 3:35pm on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Northwest Health-La Porte, La Porte, Indiana. She was born August 20, 1951, in Knox, Indiana, to the late Roy and Lula (Joseph) Coldiron. On July 3, 1974, in Knox, she married William Wheeler, Sr.

Donna was a realtor in the area and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Judson. She loved to fish, take walks, attending her grandkids’ sporting events and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, William, three sons: Danny Coldiron of Knox, William (Lindsay) Wheeler of Culver, Indiana and Robert (Melissa) Wheeler of La Crosse, Indiana, one daughter, Shelly (Steve) Ransom of North Judson, Indiana, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Howard of Knox. She was preceded in death by three brothers: James Coldiron and Sescoe and Robie Wireman.

A graveside service was held Friday, July 26 at the Round Lake Cemetery in Knox.

Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

RONALD TRUSTY

KNOX, IN - Ronald Trusty, 74, died at 12:56pm on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home. He was born July 13, 1950, in Rousseau, Kentucky, to Wade Trusty and Cleda (Back) Trusty Childers. On November 8, 1969, in Knox, Indiana, he married Karen Glass.

Ron was a retired crane operator from Ford Motor Company. He was also retired from the Knox-Center Township Fire Department, having served for 22 years as a volunteer firefighter. He also served in the US Army Reserves and was a member of the American Legion Post #131 in Knox. He loved spending time with his family and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, two daughters: Kristina (David) Morrow and Shelly (Mike) Eskridge, both of Knox, one granddaughter, his mother, Cleda of North Judson, Indiana, one brother, Greg (Diane) Trusty of North Judson and three sisters: Levelle (Dave) Roemer of Knox and Eurasula (Ken) Dolezal and Theresa (Robert) Roy, both of North Judson. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade and one granddaughter, Hope Anderson.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 16, at 7pm, at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel. Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

KAREN M. BOLLHOEFER

FRANCESVILLE, IN - Karen M. Bollhoefer, 77, died Thursday, July 11, 2024. She was born May 2, 1947, in Francesville, Indiana, to the late Floyd M. and Jeannette, M. (LaRose) Cooley.

Karen was a 1965 graduate of Francesville High School and attended the International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She had worked in law firms for 25 years. She was a member of the Francesville Christian Church where she sang in the choir. Karen loved animals especially cats and she enjoyed decorating and designing.

She is survived by Buddy, Cheryl Bollhoefer, Sabrina Smith and James Michael Bollhoefer. She was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Lynn Cooley, one brother, Raymond F. “Ray” Cooley and David Bollhoefer.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 6, at 11am EDT, at the Highland Cemetery in North Judson, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulaski Animal Center

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville.

BRUCE GORDON BRUMM

THE VILLAGES, FL - FORMERLY OF WINAMAC, IN - Bruce Gordon Brumm, 77, died unexpectedly Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born March 18, 1947, in Rochester, Minnesota, to the late Gordon F. and Irene A. (Koester) Brumm. On August 10, 1968, he married Jill Jones.

Bruce owned and operated Standard Auto Parts in Winamac for 35 years. He was a Past President of the Winamac Kiwanis Club and helped found the local youth soccer program. He enjoyed worshiping with his family at Bethel Bible Church in Winamac, racquetball, pickle ball and golf.

He is survived by his wife, Jill “Fafa”, one daughter, Kristin (Brent Hermann) Brumm, one son, Bryce (Lori) Brumm and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marsha Brumm.

A private celebration of life will be held. Donations may be given to your local church.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

SUSAN L. BAKER

KEWANNA, IN - Susan L. “Sue” Baker, 79, died Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born February 4, 1945, in Connersville, Indiana, to the late Chester and Nellie (Reeder) Pavy. On January 26, 1965, in Cassopolis, Michigan, she married Paul C. Baker. He died December 2, 2011.

Sue was a graduate of Connersville High School and attended Ball State University and later in life she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from IU Kokomo and became a teacher, teaching elementary school at Winamac and Knox. She enjoyed worshiping at Bethel Bible Church in Winamac where she was a longtime member. She is survived by two sons: Trent R. (Amy) Baker and Chad M. (Samantha) Baker, one daughter, Kristy Kay (Wyatt) Showley and seven grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, July 29, at Bethel Bible Church, with Pastor Matthew Dodd officiating. Burial was in the Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Pulaski County for the Paul C. Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, Bethel Bible Church or Gideon’s International.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

JANET WILSON ATKINS REYNOLDS

NOBLESVILLE, IN - Janet “Jan” Wilson Atkins Reynolds, 84, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born May 5, 1940, in Monterey, Indiana, to the late Cledith B. Wilson and Myrtle Hunter Wilson Behnke.

Jan loved her family very much. She was retired from a successful career in Telecommunication, where she was an accomplished executive and received awards for her innovation and creativity. She was active in her church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, elder and Women’s Group President.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, children: Jayme (Pat Duryea) Ambrose, Thomas (Lana) Atkins and James (Karen) Atkins, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, six step children: Allison (Tim) Runyon, Christy (Keith) Monday, Larry (Sara) Reynolds, Shannon (Douglas) Galloway, Kim (Amir) Norlahi and Brenda (Micheal) Hopkins, nineteen step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step father, Ralph Behnke, two sisters: Anna Dee Wilson and Cleta Sue Wilson Roscka.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Local arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.

DARWIN WILLIAM WAYBERG

MEDARYVILLE, IN - Darwin William Wayberg, 87, died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home. He was born November 7, 1936, in Kingsford, Michigan, to the late Henry L. and Ruth M. (McKeller) Wayberg. On October 18, 1958, in Menominee, Michigan, he married Kate Elizabeth “Katie” Randall. In his younger years, Darwin worked as a lumberjack in Michigan and had worked for Gordy Vollmer as a carpenter before becoming a truck driver. He retired at the age of 81 as the owner/ operator of a successful trucking business. He was a member of the Knox Seventh-day Adventist Church where he served as an Elder. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Katie, children: Randy and Darwin Wayberg, Diane (Mark) Shepperd and Brenda (Kenneth) Whitrock, all of Medaryville, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and three sisters: Henrietta Bailey, Karen Gutterman and Kristine (Steve) Hershman. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Mari Elizabeth Wayberg and Sabrina Lynn Shepperd, one grandson, Kendall Oliver Whitrock and siblings: John Wayberg, Lucille Yee, Gladys Westlund, Audrey Wright and Betty Guffey.

Services were held Tuesday, July 30, at Frain Mortuary QuerryUlbricht Chapel. Burial was in the White Post Cemetery in Medaryville. Memorial contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Chuck Trinoskey (1946-2024)

With great love and fond memories, Charles David Trinoskey peacefully passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 77, at his home in Fayetteville, Georgia. He was surrounded by his family and left behind a legacy of love. Throughout Chuck’s rich life, he earned various endearing nicknames that marked different chapters of his journey: “Chuck” was born on August 22, 1946, to the late Vernon E Trinoskey and Burnice Trinoskey (Koepkey) in North Judson, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother Theodore “Ted” and sister Susan “Sue”. “Charlie” is survived by his devoted wife Lynn, his daughter Kiersten Scheule (Jeff), son Gavin Trinoskey (Caroline), and daughter Raven Bradford (Caan). He was affectionately known as “Pops” by his nine grandchildren Charlee, Lily Claire, Edie, Parks, Mae, Whit, Rhett, and Elin. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters Barbara “Bobbie Jo” and Margaret “Punk”.

Chuck excelled as an honor student and all-star athlete in North Judson, Indiana. He continued his education and athletics at Kendall College in Chicago, where he met Lynn (Blomseth), his beloved wife. In the Army “Skey” distinguished himself during his service as a decorated Vietnam Veteran with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. As a Sky Soldier renowned for their fortitude and resilience, Chuck saw active combat. Nicknamed “The Beaver” for his strong work ethic, Chuck left the Midwest for new chapters of life in Florida and finally Georgia. He dedicated himself to providing for his family, working in the lumber industry and holding management positions at two large department stores. Chuck led by example and was respected by those he worked with. Known for his mechanical skills, Chuck was an avid shade-tree mechanic who generously assisted others with their cars. He had a deep passion for the Atlanta Braves, while always maintaining a strong connection to his Midwest roots. Chuck will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his honorable service to his country, and his kindness and generosity towards others. His legacy of love and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. Your kindness is a source of comfort as we remember and honor the life of Chuck Trinoskey. In lieu of flowers the family lovingly asks for donations in Chuck’s name to be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, Lilburn, GA. A celebration honoring his life will take place on August 24th in Fayetteville, Georgia, two days following his 78th birthday.
