GLENN EDWARD McDANIEL
KNOX, IN - Glenn Edward McDaniel, 45, died Friday, August 9, 2024, in Knox, Indiana. He was born June 29, 1979. On January 26, 2001, he married Beverly Sue.
Glenn was known as the “Tree Man”, having worked 20 years for Statewide Tree Service. He was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in nature, riding his Harley, and enjoying the company of his loved ones. He loved his family very much.
He is survived by his children: Chelsey, Whitney, Macey, Emiley, Karissa and Nathan, four grandchildren, his mother, Sandy (Jerry) Cooper of Knox, three sisters: Sherry (Dain) Whitaker and Katie (Tim) Miller, both of Knox and Amy (Luke) Turner of Plymouth, Indiana, one step sister, Anna Stacy of Culver, Indiana and two brothers: Marvin (Jami) McDaniel of Grovertown, Indiana and Justin (Chantel) McDaniel of Winamac, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin McDaniel and grandparents: Henry and Mary McDaniel and Goble and Helen Mullins.
Services were held Wednesday, August 14 at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Etsie Allen officiating. Burial was in the Round Lake Cemetery in Knox. Donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.
TERESA D. SAFRANSKE
KNOX, IN - Teresa D. Safranske, 60, died Sunday, August 11, 2024. She was born September 4, 1963, in Knox, Indiana, to James A. and Sharon (Hooten) Smith.
She is survived by her mother, Sharon and siblings: Cindy Smith, Karen Browning and James R. Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, James and one brother, Timothy Smith.
Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
CAROL J. GROTT
KNOX, IN - Carol J. Grott, 72, died Sunday, August 4, 2024 after a short illness. She was born October 17, 1951, in North Judson, Indiana to the late James and Maudella Wright.
Carol was a graduate of North Judson High School and was a friend to many.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Lawson, two grandsons and two sisters: Edith Howard and Linda Fort.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 31, from 2-4pm at the Knox Community Center in Knox. Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
BRUCE W. WILLIAMS
KNOX, IN - Bruce W. Williams, 66, died Saturday, August 10, 2024. He was born June 2, 1958, in Jasper, Alabama, to the late Garnie and Doris Ruth (Wright) Williams.
Bruce is survived by four grandchildren and siblings: Linda Smith, Stephen Williams and Phillip Williams. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristine Renee Williams and two brothers: Michael and Darrell Williams.
A memorial service was held Friday, August 16 at M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
HERBERT EDWARD JOHNS
WINAMAC, IN - Herbert Edward “Ed” Johns, 76, died Monday, August 12, 2024, at his home. He was born October 3, 1947, in Marion, Illinois, to the late Loren Lee and Edna May (Walker) Johns. On September 22, 2015, he married Lugina Maria “Gina” Ricchio. She died February 25, 2017. Ed enjoyed grabbing coffee at Chiro Coffee, going out to eat at Cruiser’s and visiting with friends. He loved his cat and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by one son, Jason Scott Johns, two step sons: Anthony and James Ricchio, one step daughter, Jewel Ricchio and siblings: Edna Johns and Raymond Johns. He was preceded in death by siblings: Lucy Fout and Loren Lawrence Johns and half siblings: Paul and Arbel Fann and Laura May Gallagher.
Visitation from 10-11am EDT on Saturday, August 24 at Frain Mortuary with a memorial service beginning at 11am EDT. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Winamac.

ANNA F. ALLEN
KNOX, IN - Anna F. “Bobbie” Allen, 100, died Friday, August 16, 2024, in Knox, Indiana. She was born July 2, 1924, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late William Preston and Veva (Preston) Buxton.
Bobbie was a member of the Knox VFW Women’s Auxiliary, the Eastern Star and Knox Moose Lodge.
She is survived by two daughters: Joe (Artie) Garbison of Knox and Cindy Nover of Valparaiso, Indiana, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Allen, one daughter, Sharon Allen, one grandson, David Allen Nover and siblings: Donald and Billy Preston and Loretta Cassidy Services were held Tuesday, August 20, at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.

ROY ROGER WIREMAN
MEDARYVILLE, IN - Roy Roger Wireman, 72, died Friday, August 9, 2024 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Crown Point, Indiana. He was born September 8, 1951 in Rensselaer, Indiana to the late Chester and Minnie Wireman. On September 18, 1999, in Medaryville, he married Faye “Dee Dee” Rowe. She died October 24, 2016.
Roy was well known to many as “dad”.
He is survived by three daughters: Melita (Bob) McClain, Mona Lisa Chambers and Wendy (David) Wireman, three sons: Billy (Tracy) Clemons, Roy Roger Wireman, Jr. and Toby Wireman, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother, Troy (Mable) Wireman and five sisters: Shirley (Delmer) Grigsby, Charlotte (John) Conley, Lisa Howard, Tammy Howard and Brenda Bailey. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Frinkel.
Private burial will be in the Goodway Cemetery in Medaryville.

CONNIE JEAN BAILEY
HAMLET, IN - Connie Jean (Howard) Bailey, 72, died Friday, August 16, 2024, two weeks after suffering severe head injuries and medical complications following a home invasion and brutal attack. She was born February 25, 1952, in La Porte, Indiana and attended North Judson-San Pierre High School (class of 1970). She worked for Del Monte Foods in Plymouth, Indiana and retired from MPI Products in Knox after 24 years of employment. She was currently serving as an elected member of the Hamlet Town Council.
She is survived by her husband, Hank Bailey who was also injured in the assault and stepdaughter, Rosie Bailey of Hamlet, her sons: Thomas (Ann) Howard of Winamac, Indiana and Scott (Diana) Howard of Culver, Indiana, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Beverly (Marc) Santicola of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ardella Paulsen.
A celebration of life was held Tuesday, August 20, at the Heartland Church in Winamac. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michiana Crime Stoppers.

CLIFTON MINIX
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Clifton Minix, 74, died Saturday, August 17, 2024 in North Judson, Indiana. He was born May 9, 1950, in Knox, Indiana, to the late Donna and Tressie (Lovely) Minix. On February 21, 1968, he married Thelma Smith. She died February 2, 2004.
Clifton was a member of the North Judson American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, working on the railroad, socializing and talking to people and spending time with his family. He worked for ConRail Railroad.
He is survived by one son, Curtis (Sarah) Minix of Culver, Indiana, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Palmer Fletcher and siblings: Marvin and Stanley Minix, Betty Jean Sowards, Eileen Wireman and Laurren Minix.
Friends will be received 10am till time of service at 1pm, Saturday, August 24 at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, with services beginning at 1pm with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.
