




























MEDARYVILLE, IN - Dennis A. Wilson, 64, died Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home. He was born December 2, 1960 in Gary, Indiana to the late Howard and Sandra (Crossman) Wilson.
Dennis was a master carpenter who could build anything from the ground up and taught many others his craft. He had previously served as the President of the Portage Jaycees. He had a green thumb, loved gardening and was a collector of many things. Dennis loved his family very much.
He is survived by his life partner, Jackie Heckman, two sons: Brian Cox and Bradley Wilson, two daughters: Amanda (Keith) Hammon and Lisa (Jason) Goble, seventeen grandchildren, one great grandson, two sisters: Robin Witt and Rhonda Ogiego, one brother, Dean Wilson and former spouse, Vivian Wilson. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachelle Wilson, one grandson, Michael Wilson and one brother, Danny Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held at 2pm EST on Saturday, February 22, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pulaski Animal Center.

NORTH JUDSON, IN - Becky L.
Anderson, 73, died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at her home. She was born October 11, 1951 to the late Walter “Woody” and Elaine D. Ingram. She is survived by three children: Edward “Eddy” (Kelsee) Anderson Jr. of Chesterton, Indiana, Erica (Adam) Swickard of Rosedale, Indiana and Stephenie (Joe) Combs of Burlington, Kentucky, six grandchildren and two brothers: Mike (Candy) Kough of Athens, Alabama and Kerry (Mary) Ingram of North Judson.
Private family services will be held.
Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution can do so directly to the Starke County Humane Society in North Judson or the Golden Gardens Sanctuary at Bass Lake, Indiana, as anyone who knew Becky, all animals (particularly dogs) held a special place in her heart.

KNOX, IN - Gerald “Jerry” Matysak, 81, died Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Knox, Indiana. He was born May 26, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Albert and Violet (Nordman) Matysak. On October 1, 1966, in Knox, he married Sharon Hausler.
Jerry was a member of the Army reserves and Legion Post #777. He was a lifetime farmer and a weekend warrior. He enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his family. He worked as a machinist for US Steel. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, one son, Rick (Michelle) Matysak of Knox, two daughters: Shelly Matysak of Chesterton, Indiana and Tricia Matysak of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Annette Matysak and one brother, Albert Matysak.
Private services will be held at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 18. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.

Peter Douglas Croyle, formerly of North Judson, Indiana, passed away on February 8 at Parkview Hospital in Kendallville, Indiana, after a two-year battle with cancer. He was born October 30, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Paul and Kay Croyle, long-time residents of North Judson, now living in Winona Lake, Indiana. Peter graduated from North Judson-San Pierre High School in l979 and from the University of Virginia in l983, where he was a member of the Jefferson Society. He then attended graduate school at American University in Washington, D.C., after which he embarked on his career in the travel industry, planning tours, leading tours and giving enrichment lectures on board cruise ships all over the world. He especially enjoyed his 12 trips to Antarctica. He was a master scuba diver and went diving around the world, including the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. He was a volunteer tour guide instructor in Vietnam for young English-speaking Vietnamese. He also liked to play golf and was fortunate to get to play at St. Andrews and Pebble Beach, among many other courses. He always managed to be back in Indiana the last week in May to go to the Indianapolis 500. Last May was his 50th race. Peter had a wonderful and adventurous life. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Kay Croyle, his brother John (Julie) of Ellenton, Florida, his niece Cameron Gibson (Tierra) of Warsaw, Indiana, and many friends around the world. He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew, and his grandparents Howard L. and Esther Weninger of North Judson and Chauncey and Hazel Croyle of Union City, Indiana.
MEDARYVILLE, IN - Myralin Joan Fox, 85, died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello, Indiana. She was born July 7, 1939 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Jesse Hulon and Wilma Mary (Menn) Wheeler. On December 15, 1957 in Dayton, Indiana, she married George Joseph Fox.
Joan was a 1957 graduate of Dayton High School. She was a member of Brushwood Church in Rensselaer, Indiana. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Lafayette as well as a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Medaryville. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, bird watching and caring for her cats. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband, George, three sons: Joe (Andrea) Fox of Lowell, Indiana, Garry Fox of Medaryville and Richard Fox of West Lafayette, Indiana, one daughter, Melinda Fox of Lebanon, Indiana, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two brothers: Ray (Carol) Wheeler of Spokane, Washington and Charles (Carol) Wheeler of Noblesville, Indiana.
Services were held Friday, February 14, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Burial was in the Independence Cemetery in Medaryville. Memorial contributions may be made to Brushwood Church or the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home Foundation.
