HERMAN E. GLOVER JR.
KNOX, IN - Herman E. Glover Jr., 67, died Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home. He was born September 6, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Herman E. Glover and Amanda Pitts (Birdie Howard).
Herman had worked many years for Conrail Railroad. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and gardening.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Pam Hovarter, two daughters: Brandy (Eric) Materna and Emma Glover, four grandsons, one great grandson, three sisters: Martha (GW) Minix, Phyllis Foust and Sharon (Chuck) Risner and one step brother, Tony Glover. He was preceded in death by his stepmom, Barbara Glover, one sister, Linda Sue Jordan and two step brothers: Pete and Johnny Peak.
Per his wishes, no services will be held.
Arrangements were made by O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. in North Judson, Indiana.
TERRY SENESE-GENTRY
WINAMAC, IN - Terry SeneseGentry, 73, died Friday, February 21, 2025 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Indiana. She was born January 28, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anthony John and Diana Mae (Sivewright) Senese.
Terry grew up in Evergreen Park, Illinois and graduated from Evergreen Park High School. She worked as a beautician and a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #131 in Knox, Indiana. She enjoyed socializing, crafting, painting, crocheting and being loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters: Toni (Allan) Walker of Lodi, Wisconsin and Julie Thomas of Winamac, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two siblings and one step daughter, Tonya. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Gentry and four siblings: Judy, Danny, Billy and Mary.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Peaceable Primate Sanctuary in Winamac.
Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
SANDRA ELLEN PRATT
KOONTZ LAKE, IN - Sandra Ellen
“Sandi” Pratt, 74, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her home. She was born May 5, 1950 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Harold O. and Ellen J. (Trejtnar) Skripsky. On July 1, 1972 in Cedar Rapids, she married Glenn Darrell Pratt.
Sandi was a master quilter and a longtime member of the Peacemakers Quilt Guild in Brandon, Florida. She loved coordinating and attending quilt retreats as well as participating in a quilt ministry for expectant mothers. She owned and operated her own pattern and crafting business in Brandon called “Gingerbread and Such”. Later in life she worked as a claims adjuster for Progressive Insurance. She was a devoted member of the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in rural Jasper County, Indiana. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, reading mystery novels and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn, one daughter, Misti Ann (Jim) Rakowitz of Riverview, Florida, three grandchildren, one great grandson, one brother, Harold “Dee” Skripsky and one sister, Peggy Sue (Bob) Gleason.
Private services will be held at a later date in Indiana and Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.
JANICE M. WHYBREW
WINAMAC, IN - Janice M. Whybrew, 79, died Friday, February 28, 2025 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville, Indiana. She was born May 12, 1945 in Royal Center, Indiana to the late Charles and Marie (Schultz) Carlson. On November 17, 1984, in Monticello, Indiana, she married Arnold Lane Whybrew.
Janice graduated as Valedictorian from Burnettsville High School in 1963 and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education from Ball State University. She taught at Meadowlawn Elementary School in Monticello for over 20 years. She attended Bethel Bible Church in Winamac for many years. She enjoyed quilting, reading and eating out with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold and one sister, Bonnie S. (Mel) Holder of Elida, Ohio. She was preceded in death by siblings: Fred W. Carlson and infant Joan Marie Carlson.
Services were held Friday, March 7 at Frain Mortuary with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. Burial was in the Winamac Cemetery (Southlawn Addition). Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Haven Retirement Home or the Dementia Society of America.
Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
DELORIS JEAN MANIS
LAFAYETTE, IN - FORMERLY OF WINAMAC, IN - Deloris Jean Manis, 92, died Monday, March 3, 2025 at St. Anthony Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born December 16, 1932 in Moline, Illinois to the late Roger Harvey and Katherine (Guthrie) Brown. On November 4, 1950 in Knox, Indiana, she married Lester L. “Bud” Manis. He died October 5, 2012.
Deloris graduated from Knox High School . She was a longtime member of the Winamac First United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women’s group. She had served as a leader for 4-H and Girl Scouts for many years. She enjoyed reading, oil painting, ceramics, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters: Deborah D. Carpenter of Lafayette, Suzanne M. (Tim) Coonrod of Buffalo, Indiana and Mary Margaret (Jack) Van Lieshout of Evansville, Indiana, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings: Roger H. Brown and Judy Fischer
Private burial will take place in the Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition). Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
McKINLEY D. MILLER
NORTH JUDSON, IN - McKinley D. “Kenny” Miller, 60, died Thursday, March 6, 2025 in Knox, Indiana. He was born November 18, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late French and Judith (Stone) Miller.
Kenny enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, listening to music, watching sports, especially football and spending time with his family. He had worked for C&C Monon Trailer.
He is survived by his wife, Janna, two sons: Jason Miller and Justin Miller, both of Griffith, Indiana, one daughter, Jamie (Christopher) Melton of Francesville, Indiana, four grandchildren and siblings: Greg (Deon) Miller of New Mexico, Melinda (Don) Carter of Winchester, Kentucky, Rebecca (David) Adams of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Sherri (Phil) Newman and Jennifer (Ben) Pullen, both of Dothan, Alabama.
Friends will be received 4pm till time of service at 6pm on Wednesday, March 19, with Pastor Gary Clemons officiating, at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.

MARCELLA HAMILTON
KNOX, IN - Marcella Hamilton, 79, died Thursday, March 6, 2025 in Knox, Indiana. She was born December 21, 1945 in Knox to the late Alex and Flossie (Rowe) Rowe.
Marcella enjoyed reading books about the Amish and spending time with her family. She had worked for Howmet.
She is survived by two daughters: Nina (Steve) McCoy of Grovertown, Indiana and Tina (Robert) Brown of Knox, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and siblings: Sonny Rowe of Knox, Marvin Rowe of North Judson, Indiana and Marjorie (Dan) Nash of Union Mills, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hamilton, two sons: Randy and Paul Ritchie and siblings: Dan, Junior and Kelly Rowe, Virgie Clemons, Lucy Pitts, Nevada Campbell, Dorothy Jean Fawley and Goldie Singleton.
Services were held Tuesday, March 11, at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Koch officiating. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to the family.

LENA MAE GOURLEY
WINAMAC, IN - Lena Mae Gourley, 80, died Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born January 16, 1945 to the late Raymond and Opal (Hurlburt) Button. On June 11, 1994 in Star City she married Robert “Clyde” Gourley. Lena was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her home and spending time outdoors working in her flower gardens.
J. RODNEY RUDD
CHESTERTON, IN - J. Rodney Rudd, 80, died Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was born September 21, 1944 to Leonard and Kathryn Rudd. Rodney was a Baptist Minister and had dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel. He formed The Rudd’s Southern Gospel singing group along with his wife, and children. He is survived by his children: Keith, Shellie (Jimbob) Humes, Amy (Jim) Percifield, Leighanne Bolinger, sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, his mother, Kathryn Rudd, brothers: Bill (Sandy) Rudd and Greg (Karen) Rudd and sisters: Connie (Mike) Rudd and Debbie (Terry) Jordan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi, one son, Jimmy, one grandson, Eli, his father, Leonard, brother, Randy and sister, Cathy Wallen. Services were held Tuesday, March 11 at Trailside Community Church in Portage, Indiana. Arrangements were made by Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home in Portage.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Salyer, one great grandson, Clyde Pottle and siblings: Gerard and Margaret Button.
