Annual Awards

Each year, The Pegasus School selects distinguished individuals who have exemplified noteworthy dedication and leadership to the School and Pegasus community. The Hathaway and Sullivan Awards are presented to students; the Trustees’, Founder’s and Spirit Awards are presented to parents, and in some cases, staff.

TRUSTEES’ AWARDS

This year, for the very first time, Pegasus celebrated two winners of the Trustees’ Award! The Trustees’ Award acknowledges stewardship at The Pegasus School and was gratefully given to both BRIAN CULLEN, Board Chair, and RENE COGAN, Chief Financial Officer.

FOUNDER’S AWARD

The Founder’s Award is presented in memory of Dr. Laura Hathaway. It recognizes dedication to promoting the welfare of The Pegasus School and inspiring others to reach the same level of commitment. The 2019-20 award was given to NANCY CONKLIN, Director of Admission.

HATHAWAY AWARD

The Hathaway Award, named after Founder Dr, Laura Hathaway, is presented to an outstanding graduate who has demonstrated excellence and leadership in academics as well as participation in other Pegasus activities. The 2019-20 award was given to REESE MEISTER.

PTO SPIRIT AWARD

The PTO Spirit Award recognizes a school parent who demonstrates an unselfish commitment by giving of themselves, their services, and their time. The 2019-20 award was given to JANETH ORELLANA.

SULLIVAN AWARD

The Sullivan Award, named after John Sullivan, former Lower School Director and Assistant Head of School, is presented to a fifth grader who consistently demonstrates kindness and positive leadership. The award recipient is nominated by classmates. The 2019-20 award was given to CHARLOTTE BURCH.
