Senior wills I, Fatima Siddiqui, will to Lauren Lee, Noah Werksman and Tunika Onnekikami, never ending piles of points banks, red pens, last minute paste-up crises and the same amount of love for The Pen that I have. You three are such talented, intelligent, dedicated individuals and I look forward to seeing your amazing paper. To Chris Kong, I will PAM baking spray, an H&M modeling contract and all my adoration. To Lara Yedikian, I will all the sweets in the world, back massages and car conversations as epic as ours. To Katie Whitman, I will lessons in texting, OHOP’s chocolate chip pancakes and my Link Crew shirt. Your never-ending sass is the only reason I came to zero period. To Fatima Rao, I will a selfie stick, Chuck Bass, and my complete love, respect and gratitude. You truly are the sister I never had. To Sarah Schoettler, I will my driver’s license (if I ever get one), an endless supply of the snack shack’s chocolate chip cookies and all my love. Thank you for being the best friend a girl could have. To Jina Kim, I will as many cats as you can adopt and a roommate who can handle your OCD. Thank you for never failing to make me laugh. To Uswah Shabbir, I will an endless amount of “almost got a parking ticket” moments, the word “tru”, my cheeks and my complete admiration. It was an honor to be on leadership with you. Thank you for forcing me to go to the gym, being my chauffer and making my newspaper experience unforgettable.

I, Alex Bologna, will Tunika Onnekikami one brand-new track roller, even though you will not need it once you’ve received all your hard-earned sprint sponsorships in the near future. To my other junior cohort, Lauren Lee, I will all of our opinion editing experiences, as well as all the luck in the world in leading next year’s newspaper. I know you’re both destined to do something amazing. To Fat and Swag, I will you each other’s company; you’re both destined to do something pretty good. To Michael Lum I would like to will a new, industrialstrength comb with which to slick back that plentiful black hair of yours, and to Jenny lee I would like to will a fork as a personal promise to improve in art of holding chop sticks. And finally to Alex Kokka, I will you a ten-hour film reel of driving scenes, in lieu of all the love and support expressed throughout the years.

I, Jina Kim, will Fatima Siddiqui, Edward the Cot, spontaneous ditties and eventful Uber rides. To Noah and Izzy, late night study sessions, a Costco-size jar of Nutella to replace the one I ate and my beautiful physics boat. To Fatima Rao, I will Blair Waldorf’s sense of style as you take on the east coast. I will to Lauren Lee the motivation to start her college applications early, a bottomless cup of coffee and a fantastic senior year. To Jean Won Kim, I will an never-ending supply of extraordinary YA stories. I will to Jenny Lee Dunkin’ Donuts runs at 5AM and as many North Face jackets as your closet can hold, and to Uswah Shabbir, an alarm clock (because she needs one more than anyone I know) and ear muffs cute enough to cut everyone in line. The selflessness and compassion that you guys have shown me has changed me for the better, and I know you both will continue to do great things.

A special collection of wills from departing members of the Class of 2015.

I, Angela Song, will flawless pen pressure, all the diagonals in the world, and someone who will be the Makoto to your Haruka to my protégé, Jackie Uy; you were almost as irreplaceable as my RE shrine. To Flo, alpacas and cows. To everyone on next year’s staff, white space. To Monice, love from deep springs. To Connie, a tiny son (with cinnamon roll too good for this world) and someone who will get matching tattoos with you at 18. To JiEun, I will the title of Amy. To Hannah, always perfect roots and aesthetic coats for the Montreal winter-- thank you for being the kindest, most inspiring friend I could ever ask for. And finally, I will the hugs that I never gave to everyone who tolerated my Polaroid camera, you blessed me with the most unforgettable of adventures.

I, Uswah Shabbir, will Tunika, Lauren and Noah late night paste-ups with H52 badminton sessions, spell check pins, and more food than you guys can handle. I have absolutely no doubt that the paper will flourish under your unbelievable leadership. I’m too proud of you guys. To Lauren Lee, I will you an unforgettable, stress-free senior year. You have truly been a shining light in my life and one of my best friends. I can’t wait to see what great accomplishments I know you will achieve. To Fatima Rao, I will walks with our moms on the East Coast and gratitude for your loving, unwavering friendship. To Izzy Shen, the strongest person I know, Lululemon apparel and two perfect French braids. To Fatima Siddiqui, I will all my love and endless laughter. I wouldn’t have gotten through this year without you and I’ll never forget our time in newspaper (and our jokes.) Thank you for everything. To Jina Kim, I will you absolutely everything you desire. You deserve nothing less. To Sara Tan, more opportunities to create unforgettable nicknames. To Lisa Kurt and Max Shafer, the kiki you’ve always dreamed of. To Golshan Helfman, a superb eyebrow place at Cal and an endless supply of Ben and Jerry’s. Lastly, to Geena Shah, I will the best four years of your life at UCLA. It is with complete honesty that I say that you’re one of the best people I’ve ever met and you have everything you need to achieve greatness.

I, Sama Shah, will the beauty of the friendship that Jack and Tyler share to the hilarious juniors in my Spanish Literature class and continuing sartorial perfection to the wonderful Lara Patterson, who, as exemplified by her relationship with Christine Logan, has taught me the true meaning of friendship. To my and Chris Kong’s successors, Phoebe Borsum and Esther Chu, I will the same passion for journalism that blossomed in me these past couple years, and, to Amani Jalota, an incredible senior year. Finally, Noha Ayoub, Benjamin Malit, Olivia Serritella, Ellen He, and Henry Han, I know that vastly different paths lie ahead of us, so unto you five, I will courage in your endeavors, happiness in your future, and all my love.
