The curriculum applies legal scholarship and skills to contemporary issues, from international conflict resolution to intellectual property and technology. In the first year, our students balance rigorous core and specialty courses with immersion in clinics, practicums, networking opportunities with local law firms, and exposure to local innovators. The results speak to our students’ high caliber of talent and preparation. Pitt Law graduates obtain more bar passage/JD-advantaged jobs, work at more 250+ attorney law firms, win more judicial clerkships, and choose more public interest jobs. Pitt Law recently was named the #37 Go-To Law School by the National Law Journal for its value, career placement and opportunities for graduates. Our graduates forge careers near and far from Pittsburgh and carry the spirit of innovation that has defined this city and the University. Pitt Law’s superior preparation begins with small classes with a student-to-faculty ratio of 8 to 1.
