The Politic

The Politic is Yale University’s Undergraduate Journal of Politics. The quarterly magazine traces its roots to 1947, when the Yale Political Journal: A Magazine of Student Opinion was founded. The Politic was revived in 1979 as the Yale Political Monthly by future political commentator and historian Robert Kagan. Past editors-in-chief include Kagan, Fareed Zakaria and Gideon Rose. Building upon Yale’s rich political heritage, The Politic strives to inform the greater Yale community about the most important local, national and global policy issues, as well as promote greater understanding and cooperation between academia and the world of politics. The Politic features articles and commentary from politicians, academics and students.
