Timmy the Tiger
Once upon a time, there was a tiger, and his name was Timmy.
One day, a mean group of nasty bears drove Timmy the Tiger and his family from their home!
Timmy and his family were able to find a new home in the desert, far away from the nasty bears and their big, sharp claws.
On Timmy’s first day at his new school, he met Liam, a big lion in his class. Liam was nice to his friends, but when Timmy arrived he said: “It’s Timmy the Tiger. Don’t talk to him, he’s from the jungle.”
“You don’t eat the same food as us!”
The lions were very mean to Timmy, so no matter how hard he tried, he always felt left out.
“You don’t sound like us!”
“You look different to us!”
So, everyday Timmy ate lunch all by himself, and he felt sad and alone.
Then one day, a lion called Lily walked up to Timmy and said: “Can I eat lunch with you, Timmy?”
So, Timmy ate his lunch with Lily, and they talked. Timmy learnt all about Lily and Lily learnt all about Timmy, and they became best friends!
So, when you meet someone who’s not quite the same as you, remember to be like Lily instead of Liam! Everyone is different and that is what makes us all special!
