While Bainbridge may give off a small town feel, the events & festivals hosted each year are BIG draws for visitors and familes looking for a fun activity to partake in.
January
RATTLESNAKE ROUNDUP Each year on the last Saturday in January, the Whigham Community Club sponsors the annual Rattlesnake Roundup. The Roundup is over 50 years old and attracts approximately 20,000 visitors each year.
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY CELEBRATION Each year, residents from Decatur County participate in a parade honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade ends at Hutto Middle School, where a program concludes the day’s activities featuring a guest speaker and special music and dancing.

FATHER- DAUGHTER DANCE Each year the Firehouse Arts Center hosts a Father-Daughter Dance, allowing dads to take their daughters out on a “date” complete with dancing, snacks and beautiful photographs and memories sure to last a lifetime. 2. River Town Days

RIVER TOWN DAYS River Town Days is typically held the second weekend of March and features children’s rides and activities, a marketplace featuring multiple types of vendors, including food vendors and free stage entertainment. This year’s entertainment was Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, who jammed out with the crowd.

4. Star Spangled Flint
ART AND WINE WALK Sip a glass of wine and stroll through Downtown Bainbridge as you visit local merchants showcasing the work of local photographers and artists. Then take a trip to the Firehouse Arts Center, where they have multiple pieces on display.

STAR SPANGLED FLINT The Star Spangled Flint boasts a huge crowd every year for an amazing firework show, and musical guest. The 2022 entainer is Jimmie Allen.
5. Munchkin Masquerade

MUNCHKIN MASQUERADE The City hosts a costume contest for Bainbridge’s youngest residents every Halloween in the Square. There, judges score kids on their overall individual or group costume, with each winning a prize in their age-group. This is done in conjunction with the Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority, who hosts the Trunk or Treat. Local businesses and clubs go all out, decorating their trunk and passing out candy, while hosting small sidewalk games for kids to enjoy. All businesses located on the square also pass out candy during the event.
BAINBRIDGE HOMECOMING PARADE School clubs, Homecoming Court representatives, athletes, Teachers of the Year, band members and local dance studios participate in this once-a-year parade to get everyone excited and pumped up for the Bainbridge Bearcat Homecoming football game, which is usually is in October. 6. FLINT RIVER FAIR Sponsored by the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, the fall fair is a family favorite, bringing in rides for all ages, goodies such as candy apples and cotton candy and animals to see.
AG APPRECIATION LUNCHEON The Chamber also hosts an Ag Appreciation Luncheon in November, where they name the Ag Man & Woman of the Year and thank them for their contributions.
VETERAN’S DAY CELEBRATION The City annually hosts a Veteran’s Day Celebration with a guest speaker to thank Veterans for making the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.

YULETIDE JUBILEE The City of Bainbridge annually host the Yuletide Jubilee, where stores stay open late so kids can participate in holiday activities, browse for toys and sing with their elementary school class to smiling parents.
CHRISTMAS PARADE The City also has an annual Christmas parade that businesses, clubs and organizations decorate floats for that ends in Willis Park with kids getting to meet Santa Clause himself.
TINSEL TRAIL Every year, businesses, clubs and organizations alike decorate their Christmas Tree for the annual Tinsel Trail. The trees stay lit throughout December at the Boat Basin with special guests visiting throughout the month. Visitors can drive by and view the trees at any time.
