Letter from the Superintendent
from Graduation 2023
To the Class of 2023:
Congratulations on making it to this time of your lives. This is a moment of closure as one chapter of your life ends and a new, exciting chapter begins. Know that we are very proud of you and very humbled to have been able to share this journey with you. As you move forward in life, you will one day look back and realize how great it was to be a Bainbridge Bearcat!
The Decatur County Board of Education is honored to be a part of your successful journey. We encourage each of you to continue to pursue your passion in life and never give up on any of your dreams. However, don’t just dream, work with persistence and determination towards achieving your dreams. Ray Kroc once said, “Press on. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are
omnipotent.”
So, as you leave the halls of Bainbridge High School as the Graduates of 2023, take the same persistence and determination that got you to this day and take the world by storm. Don’t give up on a dream and don’t let anything prevent you from being all that you can be. “The Bearcat Way.”
And remember, once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!
Sincerely, Tim Cochran Decatur County Superintendent
