Face To Face With Pastor Jason Clark By Tawana Grandy-Tiller

POWER: Wow you look great, you lost a lot of weight. How did you achieve that ? PASTOR CLARK: Eating right and Exercising.

Featured Pastor and Ministry

POWER: That’s all? PASTOR CLARK: I also did the Daniel Fast. (Daniel 1) POWER: Why did this work for you? PASTOR CLARK: This time I dealt with my real issues, and made a lifestyle change. POWER: Can you share with us? PASTOR CLARK: Yes. Again, Eating right and Exercising and let me not leave out Emotions. Eating-What you put in your body, Exercising-What you put out and eventually Emotions.-Attacking and controlling them. All this combined lead to Exertion. I dealt with everything to conquer my pain. POWER: What was emotionally controlling you. PASTOR CLARK: Divorce, former job loss and feeling like a failure as a father. This left me imbalanced as a person and food became my comfort. POWER: How do you see yourself now? PASTOR CLARK: A healthier and happier person and maturing to be the best me I can be. POWER: What makes you happy? PASTOR CLARK: God, Praise and Shopping.

2

POWER: You are so real. PASTOR CLARK: I know no other way. POWER: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? PASTOR CLARK: New Church Building in Owings Mills, MD, top selling Book, CD and continuing sharing the word of God with the world. POWER: What do you in vision in your new Church Building? PASTOR CLARK: Ministering to keep balance in my congregation as a church as well as in their lives. Pulling together a church body that ministers to the very young, old and the physical body as well. The seniors will be able to interact and nurture our children and the children can give spirit to them. I want my congregation both emotionally and spiritually happy. I want them knowledgeable about the TRUE word of God. POWER: Why Owings Mills, MD? PASTOR CLARK: This is where God asked me to be. He told me this is a great place for growth and a good mixture of class and culture. POWER: What other tools do you use to Minister? PASTOR CLARK: Music, Website and of course Facebook. POWER: What or Who in life do you miss the most? PASTOR CLARK: My Dad.

Think On These Things By Reverend Juanita G. Wingo

Thou Hast Not Known Me …though thou hast not known me. Isaiah 45:4 Whose hand is it that causes the circumstances of your life to twist and turn until you despair of ever seeing the straightness of your path? Do you know who designs the trials that bear upon your soul until the weight of them hang insufferably heavy in your being? Can you recognize the creator of the instruments used to mold you so that you cease resisting and railing against those that will do the Master’s best work? Do you know the Hand of God? If you do not know the Hand of God, you do not know God, for it is His Hand that weaves the very tapestry of your life. Things you can’t figure out, things you don’t understand, the people, the places, the incidents, the yes’s, the no’s, the crises, the trauma, the trials are intended to be where they are – when they are – what they are – as they are…in your life. To know this…to accept this…to celebrate this…is to know God. Visit me at http://thinkonthesethingsbywingo.blogspot.com/

Committed To Keeping Health Care In The Community Health and Wellness Section Sponsored by Total Health Care

Health Information You Can Use “Being sick is never good or convenient. Make sure you have access to affordable, prompt and quality healthcare for your entire family. Dr. Rama Shankar, Medical Director, Total Health Care, Inc. Now that fall is here, cold and flu season is virtually upon us. Following are things you should know to keep your family healthy during the fall and winter months. What is the difference between a cold and the flu? The flu and the common cold are both respiratory illnesses but are caused by different viruses. Because these two types of illnesses have similar symptoms, it can be difficult to tell the difference between them based on symptoms alone. In general, the flu is worse than the common cold, and symptoms such as fever, body aches, extreme tiredness, and dry cough are more common and intense. Colds are usually milder than the flu and generally do not result in serious health problems, such as pneumonia, bacterial infections, or hospitalizations. How can you tell the difference between a cold and the flu? Because colds and flu share many symptoms, it can be difficult (or even impossible) to tell the difference between them based on symptoms alone. Please visit a doctor for a formal diagnosis and testing. What happens if you develop the flu? Most people who get the flu will experience a mild illness, will not need medical care or antiviral drugs, and will recover in less than two weeks. Pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections and ear infections are examples of flu-related complications. The flu can also make chronic health problems worse. What can you do to avoid colds and the flu? Get a flu vaccine and take everyday preventive actions to stop the spread of germs. Simple things like covering your nose and mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing, washing hands frequently or using hand sanitizer, and avoiding touching the eyes, nose and mouth are easy ways to stay healthy this winter.

This healthy slice of information is provided by Total Health Care. Total Health Care has nine locations in Baltimore and provides over 30 professional health services. If you need information on getting or staying healthy please visit www.totalhealthcare4u.org or call 410.383.8300.
